It's all about opinions but I personally feel more comfortable with Buchanan at the back than Barr.Think it is harsh to say undeservedly as I think we are stronger with Barr and Wright paired at CB. Not completely convinced by Buchanan yet.

As was mentioned before, it seemed like Aitken was just waiting until we lost a match to re-introduce Brown into the team in the hope he can justify his two year contract and presumably high wage. A similar case could be put up for Barr, who shouldn't be anywhere near our midfield and will probably undeservedly replace Buchanan at centre half in the coming games.I also don't see what Jamie Ewings has done to deserve being dropped yesterday. Fair enough if he had been at fault for the loss of either goal at Cappielow, but he's been very reliable in the four games he's played. We were fortunate that the referee chalked off Agnew's goal direct from the corner. I wasn't sure at the time whether there was any infringement, but seeing it again I think Brown made an utter hash of it.

Wouldn't be surprised if this is what we went for but will be interesting to see how we line up if Lindsay is back in contention. I also wouldn't be against Kirkpatrick starting on the wing because I'm not sure Heh or Cawley would have much joy up against Kevin Holt.Yup agree with that
Perhaps, but I think as Frank says above our best formation would have Garry just behind Nade. That's where he's most impressive in my opinion, and also where he played for a large chunk of time with Irvine Meadow. I'd say next week we should go with:
Ewings
Saunders Buchanan Wright Docherty
Cawley/Heh Routledge Barr Walsh
Fleming
Nade

Don't be absurd. It was solely down to Andy Graham. As was already pointed out ad nauseum the defence wasn't the sole reason we conceded 79 goals, we had an absolutely powder puff midfield which teams simply passed their way thro - when you get that much activity in and around your own box you will lose goals.
Either that or Danny Rogers was a dumpling, as was Scott Taggart, as was Stuart Findlay and as was Andy Graham. Naw, I saw most of it and the first paragraph was a huge factor. Although Lee Mair WAS a total dumpling.

Fail to understand these 'Andy Graham is past it' comments. He was our best player last year and is still a solid centre back. He had no preseason and was thrown right in to the deep end against Hibs where he had a cracking game bar his error. Would much rather have him in our line up than Wright or Barr.

A hardworking player who often goes unnoticed named Mark? Sounds familiar.

Whilst I agree with this to some extent, I do think that his dogged style of play masks a technically gifted player. His cross-field switches in particular are usually very precise, and he can beat a man and score from distance.I'd be pretty stunned if Fleming signed for a full-time side. No disrespect to him, he's a useful player, but I've always viewed him as a workmanlike footballer punching above his weight at our level.

Very good signing going by his appearances against us - a player I really like.

Thanks Ian. Seen some great games and players under Murray's reign, but now I think is the right time for him to move on. Hopefully we bring in another young manager, and quickly.

Now for the who's next debate, ray mckinnon? Steve aitken? Gary Teale?
Jack Ross would be my immediate choice but whether we would come is another question. If not then I'd be more than happy giving another player coming to end of his playing career a chance, after the success of Murray.

Any of the keepers.http://pfascotland.co.uk/player-availability/
Anyone from the released player list interest sons?
ETA: Always thought that Alex Whittle was a neat wee player, might be worth a punt.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Lee Mair and Mitch Megginson head over your way soon.Happy with Linton & Campbell, think Archie will bang in the goals at this level, cheers dumbos

The long awaited return of Kevin Smith?Ian Murray at the East fife v stenhousemuir game by idea who he's here to see?

I'd have Pat Walker on the bench, hardest working player I've seen in a Sons shirt.

Disappointed to see Linton go, would liked to have kept Archie and not at all disappointed Mitch is away. Hopefully we can replace them all with more quality, and not just SPL wasters.

Not quite sure how our manager and captain both think Aggy and Gils are in with a shout for PoTY yet some fans want them to be released. They are both very important players for us, and Murray and Graham's comments prove that.

Dreadful is a bit unfair but he's not great.

As much as I love Fleming, he is dreadful in the air. Can't agree with that. Garry Fleming challenges for every kick out within his area of play. He wins more than his fair share too.

Mair was dreadful against Rangers. He was schooled by Jon Daly.To be fair, Mair was a long time injury. And has looked quite assured, hearts game apart, Taggart has looked ok, despite playing centre half, right back, holding mid, but best alongside Andy Graham, findlay does sound promising mind you

Bumped into him a few months ago at a concert actually. Had the most awkward conversation ever due to the fact he thought I was a former team-mate of his.Was nicky phinn wearing a name badge? i think i'd walk by him in the street

The only time I can recall being angrier at a football match was Airdrie away a few years ago when Cammy MacDonald stamped on Bryan Prunty's head. Scumbag.

I enjoy the frequent laughs and sometimes the football at the Rock. All the hatred nonsense is not what I expect during my Saturday afternoons. I hope the rangers go up this year and they can do what they like and leave us football fans to do what we like.
Exactly this. That guy's celebration was nothing but provocative and deserved all he got, and more. Total joke of a human. The sooner Rangers are gone the better. In the meantime, we just need to sit back, relax and do the talking on the park. In Murray we trust!

Only made a few sub appearances but I like him a lot based on that. Looks quick and a strong tackler, did he ever play RB with Clyde? Played there most of the time with us with DVZ getting booked/injured and has looked pretty solid.
He looked pretty good further up as well for the short time he played there a few weeks back. Wouldn't be surprised to see him takes Vanzy's spot soon. Also wouldn't mind him starting over Megginson.
ETA: Congrats on your 2000th post, Sonsteam.
