Not even going to entertain the keeper argument anymore. Ewing is a much better keeper than Grindlay. End of.

Scott Smith at left back and Linton on the right. The only option IMO.
Unless we sign a right back on loan.

If we could get Paul McGinn, Andy Graham and both the Scotts to sign extensions that would be smashing. Two key players with us next season already in Christ Turner and Kirkpatrick.

Anyone who wouldn't throw Chissy on with 5 minutes left and a goal down needs their head examined.Anyone who would have Chissy back in their team at this level needs their fucking head examined.
As for McNiff, I doubt he'll play again for us. I liked him but at times against better teams he did struggle, and he'd likely better off playing reguarly for a League 1/2 side.

You can't compare McNiff to Creaney or Chissy (who, for the record, I would have back in a heartbeat). McNiff was a very important player for us and may still have a part to play.Jeez....Martin McNiff, the dubious legend lives on. And it IS a legend, we've moved on now from guys like him, Creaney and Chizzy all of whom did their bit but it's now time to concentrate on the here and now. And if that means Mark McLaughlin tutoring Joe Coleman into the first team squad then fine by me. Or bringing in another centre-back.
One thing's for sure, there's no room for sentiment in the Championship, especially for guys who were never that braw in the first place.

Agree about Coleman but I also think McNiff should at least be considered. Doubt Coleman will play at all this season.McNiff had his chance in the first part of last season and didn't take it. He is not good enough for this level we would be much better trying to develop Coleman who has been getting rave reviews from the Kilbirnie fans.

Centre half is the only position I'm worried about.
Would like to think McNiff will get a chance. Very good in our promotion season.

Nish. Apologies, should have made that clearer.Who, Murray? Don't follow.

Doubt he even knows half the player's names.Doubt Coleman would be released as there is genuine potential there.
Wouldn't be surprised to see Ronald and K.Smith released in the coming weeks as the former doesn't appear to be good enough for this level and the latter has done very little since his arrival. Personally I'd also free Nish but Murray appears to rate him so that looks unlikely, maybe he's a valuable asset for the dressing room in terms of having an experienced head around.

Subject to paperwork clearance, Chris will be added to tomorrow's squad to face Greenock Morton and the manager also confirmed that he hoped to announce a further addition later today.
In other news, Owen '#mistake' Ronald has returned.

I was listening to Ian Murray on the radio before our game on Saturday and he said that due to the squads in the Premiership being so small, we will struggle to get any 'fringe players' and would have to bring in very young guys on loan. A striker and at least one centre half is a must; always risky relying on players with such little experience in defence.
Doubt he would want to, but I'd take Paul Nugent back if he's been keeping fit/playing.

Really like Barry. Pretty quick, strong and decent in the air. A replacement would have to be reasonably fast to help out Graham.

Obviously he's nowhere near guys like McGinn or Megginson, but for his age, he was pretty quick.

Deadly serious. He had a good turn of pace. Not sure if serious.

Craig Dargo. He's 34, how many 34 year olds do you know that still have pace?

Before his injury, Hugh Murray was excellent. He kept the midfield solid and broke up the play. However, after his return, I feel he has been poor. He has been backing out of tackles and looks like he just can't be arsed. I may be expecting too much due to him being brilliant earlier in the season, but he certainly hasn't impressed me recently.I just can't agree that Hugh Murray has been awful. Both of them add experience, they've spent the majority of their careers playing in the SPL, of course they bring experience. That doesn't mean they will always have a good game. Hugh Murray has been far from awful and I'm not sure what you expect of him? I've seen you say a couple of times that he doesn't tackle, which is just not true. It's the main reason he's in the team and I think when you take Murray out the team you'll realise the protection he offers us. Just think how many teams completely over ran us in midfield prior to Murray arriving. CT and Agnew need someone like Murray sitting behind them in order for them to be allowed to control the game and the fact that Agnew is out injured just now is hindering us.
I'll agree on Nish, he's had one good game against Morton and not shown much else.

murray and nish past it? No way. We need their experience. Only ones i.d ship out are k smith and phinn. A waste of wages.
Nish had one decent game and Murray has been awful recently. They add nothing. Just because they are over 30 doesn't mean they add 'experience'.

Hamilton have released Ryan Finnie. Would definitely sign him but he'd only realistically be back-up.

Pat Fenlon leaves Hibs. Hope Murray doesn't take Jacko with him.

Was it not last season Murray was sent to the stand? I'm sure I remember Craig Gordon being the only one in the dugout.

I was kidding on. Forgot that Murray was sent to the stand, really doesn't help our chances. He's been playing regularly for St Mirren.

Paul McGinn's wee brother on loan for a couple of weeks?
0 -
Anyone know where Mark Lamont ended up?

Our lack of defensive cover is a worry. If one of the centre backs picks up an injury and if Smith or Linton are injured, Murray only really has himself, Joe Coleman, Jack Ross or (at a push) Hugh Murray to fill in at centre half. Hope we have a player lined up.
