  1. I apologise for calling you, 'a wee fanny'. That was a wrong thing to say and I've no justification for it looking back on your posts.

I withdraw the remark without reservation.

Broadfoot has a get-out in his contract (since he took his wage reduction).

I think we'd all like to keep him - he obviously makes a great deal of effort - but it looks like he has a better offer. Given the revised contracts post-admin guys like Broadfoot are in the driving seat however-much we'd like to keep them.

    I've edited my previous comment.

Respect. Takes big yins to man up like that.

  2. Where have i deflected anything on this thread away from our troubles. I said right from the start it should be division 3 and we have nobody to blame but ourselves. I dont expect any sympathy for the plight we find orselves in.

I asked the 'man' a simple question and as yet have not received an answer. I am not going to take anything he or his wee bigot pal Phil 3 names says seriously on this matter.

You do realise who he is? You know his past business dealings and why he has so much spare time on his hands...If not i will happily provide the links

Much as it pains me to say :), I think this is fair comment. If PMc is indeed the same lawyer, and despite his educative blogs, he loses credibility somewhat with his professional antics.

To claim the moral high ground we have to occupy it firmly. You can't do that when you've just lost the right to practice as a lawyer because you failed people miserably.

BTW though, absolutely beyond fcuking parody that anyone from SEVCO would call others bigots. It is incomprehensible and shameful.

  3. I'm wondering what to think at this stage. No one appears to be very happy, which normally suggests the pitch is right, if a compromise was what was being sought. However, this only works if the titles etc go.

I'm troubled that the EBTs etc will quietly disappear as the diddy attention turns to the season.

I've already said I won't be back at Palmy until a full public apology is issued and the Board changes. I'm getting close to packing it in altogether, which leaves me with the juniors or English footie.

From my perspective, I'm just hoping something turns up to save the game.

  4. Spent the last 20 mins trying to write how angry I am that this embarrassment continues. Failed. Could not articulate. I just hate them so much. Not just for being them. Not just for cheating. Not just for arguing about the oh so lenient sanctions being negotiated. FUCKING NEGOTIATED? But because they have no sense of what is around them. No understanding of the damage they continue to wreak upon the nation that houses them. And no sense of shame. No desire to move on for the greater good. No comapssion, no contrition, no humility.

    Feeling your pain man!!! :)

Fucking hate the fucking fuckers man. I really fucking do.

  5. Pretty sure the issues below will have been discussed before, but just wanted to know if anyone else had heard similar murmurings? Before I list them I just want to make it clear I have no idea if they are worthy of consideration, I'm just interested to hear if anyone else had heard about them.

    1. Why would a club like Southampton pay money for a player who isn't under contract to any other existing company? Unless the player concerned was contracted to an EXISTING company, which wasn't the one just liquidated, or the one just recently formed.

    2. Two clubs are in hoc to a bank. Club A owes an enormous sum, Club B not nearly as much. The bank refuses to bankroll Club B such that they might go into administration. Such a scenario ensures Club A will reap the benefits of near permanent European footballing income to payback the debt to the bank. The decision made by the bank not to support Club B, despite it's much lesser debt, is taken with the full acknowledgement and support of Club A ( all in secret of course, nudge nudge wink wink say no moah) - you owe the bank £100 it's your problem, you owe them £84m, it's the bank's. I seem to recall something to this effect on RTC?

I am a sceptic by nature. I was assured that both issues above were evidenced, though I wondered why I'd never seen Daly expose any of it!

I'm a bit pished so please excuse the x-file nature of the post. Please tell me it's all shite, it'll make me feel cleaner!

  6. And at the age of five - unless you were homeschooled - you were separated from some of your little friends when you were all to go to school because they were Catholics. From that point onwards, anyone from lowland Scotland that says they never got an "education" in "The Culture" is a goddamn liar.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ This - it might not have been overt, it might never have felt aggressive, but it permeates throughout west lowland society. I might not go as far to say people are lying  and accept different family conditions, areas etc. may experience a different story, but to deny it doesn't exist throughout west lowland Scotland is unhelpful in the battle to address it.

  7. I'm with Ayrmad here, stop selective reading,

He said "life as a KID was more innocent 30 or 40 years ago" & he's bang on, 30 years ago I was 6, but right up till I started high schooI, in the days before internet, before cartoons like bugs bunny were replaced with South Park & Family Guy Ihad no idea where NI was, Boney M, nope sorry hadn't heard of them, Ricky Fulton, who???? Sectarianism? Non catholic signing policy? Nah didn't know what any of that meant, and Rangers & Celtic were just another two football teams............

    The innocence of youth eh...

Nah, sorry - this argument just doesn't stack up for me. It may have felt more innocent because we were young and immature, and didn't appreciate the full ramifications of what was going on, but where I came from in deepest, darkest Ayrshire, we did know about all of it. It was, and still is, a part of everyday life. It doesn't destroy the love you have for your home, but with hindsight it can darken it; James MacMillan being an example of a response to it. Whiterose Killie may have words to say about me mentioning it, but it seems to me his visceral response to the OF arises as a consequence of the situation that pertains, experienced over many, many years, and from an early age I suspect.

I can understand that as children we might not appreciate the 'big picture' and accept this may continue even up until we are exiting our teens. But at some point in our adult development we have to stand back and see it for what it is. It may not be a damascene moment, the picture may unblur over a period of time, but, in spite of the love of whatever football team, at some point you have to make a decision as to what is right and what is wrong.

It is wrong to support teams steeped in bigotry, even if you are not bigoted yourself. To do so in the face of overwhelming evidence to the contrary, provides comfort to those who spread hate and intolerance and suggests you don't care. Not to care about something so vile and invidious, is tragic.

It was along time evolving, but for me it became a question of morality. The influence may never subside completely, and I don't feel like the 'reformed smoker' type, but I do feel I made the right decision.

Mind you..............despite his protestations theres no *%£$%** way my wee lad gets to paint his room red, white and blue (see what I did there?)!:P I suppose he doesn't have to now anyway 8) !!

  8. Someone left an empty Stella bottle on my wall last night, it's been safely dealt with now though.

Hopefully the SAS dealt with it in an appropriately professional manner: cordoned off the area, shot a few turban-wearing individuals etc.

Personally I've had little sleep since they had to set up base in Ayr. Lots of unrest around wellington square, as the orcs attack the emblems of the traitorous establishment - mayhem. Bit like the old Friday night piv battles. :)
