Going to see Get Cape wear Cape Fly at ABC on October 10th. Only heard 1 of their songs but at £6 a pop, before ticketmaster add on their ridiculous booking fee, it was a good excuse for a night out.
  2. Jefferson Airplane - We built this city.

Likewise, although I felt you had to watch out that no one was gonna smack you for daring to bump into them.
  4. Steely Dan - Hey Nineteen, off my old man's iTunes playlist.
  5. The party will begin the following day in Perth... Unless you are suggesting that the players will be on the bevvy on the Friday night having wrapped up the title the Saturday previously.
  6. Can't argue with Mike's songs getting played. April 28th will be some night, time for bed though.
  7. This is true. If you look at the original lineup to now, they have increased the talent in the band quite considerably. THIS has to be commended.
  8. I concur. The Sugababes latest single is a very good pop single indeed.
  9. A repeat of the radio programme "International Sound of Soca" on 1extra. Carribean music, f'cking quality. I like reggae music but my CD collection only really expands to Bob Marley & Jimmy Cliff in this respect... BBC digital radio is good in this respect that they can broaden your music horizons.

Unless you know something I don't, no.

The Streets at the Academy on the 28th April, my birthday. Should be a belter of a night if it's as good as the last time he played there. Also thinking of going to see the Charlatans on the the 25th of April at the Barrowlands.
  12. Federer is a better player than Sampras as he simply doesn't have a weak point, or surface for that matter. Sampras relied heavily on a booming serve but didn't have the craft or finesse to win the French Open, the grand slam played on clay. Federer on the other hand has so many shots so that even when a couple of them aren't working 100% his game won't collapse. He may not go onto win as many grand slams as Sampras as Sampras was probably the best mentally atuned player the world has ever seen. Federer may get bored with tennis by the time he's 26 and decide to chuck it. I've heard that he's a pretty nifty footballer too.
  13. Well done Andy. It really is a great achievement to jump from a 360 odd world ranking to something which'll probably be under 80 AND reach an ATP tour final in 1 year. All this from an 18 year old.
  14. Will the 116K figure not what he's made in career earnings, which won't take into account LTA funding? I'm not entirely sure, but I think he's only been given wildcards for Wimbledon in the last 2-3 years since his ranking has increased. He's actually from Paisley...but he's a big bluenose apparently
  15. Clay is Mackin's best surface...which goes to show how poor he is at the top level. I had to laugh when the commentator said he was very brave to go into the qualifying events for the big tournies where you earn nowt if you don't qualify. I don't think the Mackin family need to worry too much about cash! Plus the fact that our "top" tennis players get a fair amount of funding for trooping about the challenger circuit to only be seen on the main tour when they get Wimbledon wildcards...where they earn £10K even if they go out in the first round, which they invariably do.
