Anyone who would willingly pay £10+ to sit in their house and watch a Scottish Championship game on a shitty stream on Boxing Day needs professional help IMO.
Guilty as charged. Would obviously much rather be at the game, but if I can't go, then watching my team on a stream is still much preferable to some insufferable English Championship game on Sky.

Once again though, Hamilton look like an absolute rabble. Did they manage a shot on target?
Nope, 10 shots at goal, zero on target, according to the BBC. Again. Every game is like bloody Groundhog Day.

Rovers to win comfortably. We already have Fulton, Popescu, Want, Spence, Martin, Winter and Templeton out injured and MacDonald and Hamilton off injured last week.
If we have to go with a back 4 of Mathieson, Stirling, Easton and Munro we will get hammered.
9 players out injured again. Really really sick of this shite. That's been two years of this pish.

Probably Jose Quitongo, James McCarthy, Tony Andreu or Marcel Mahouve for Accies.

As an Accies fan, I have absolutely no issue at all with that. Roll on the new season

Was this the Covid game?
No idea. Before last night, we had 11 games to go in the season, 4 of which would be against St Mirren (3 in the league, and 1 in the Scottish Cup) if they don't make top six.
So many games have been moved forward, moved back, cancelled, awarded, uncancelled, unawarded, snowed off or rained off, it'll be a major feat if the fixture list actually adds up to the right number of games at the end of the season. I've totally lost track.

The noise for the final 10-15 minutes of that Norway game was incessant. I don't think it even stopped when they scored!
The other thing I remember was the Norwegian keeper, whose name escapes me, trying to hit the pipe band during the warm up.
Was in Erik Thorsvedt, the Spurs keeper ?
And yes, there was an incredible noise late on that game. I was in the uncovered North Terracing, and it was my first experience of seeing us qualify for anything

I'll be there. Most countries do something that I don't agree with. If I let that dictate whether I travelled there or not, I would never leave the house.
A bit like the last year, in saying that

I was quite young at the time of that game and established the fact in my mind that France = shite at football. I was incredulous when they won in '98.They had just won Euro 84 and really unlucky to lose in the World Cup semi-final in 86. Which shows what a good result that was for us. But yes, they did lose their way for a few years after that.

Agreed - two wonderful games. Mo Johnstone scoring the first in the 2-0 win v France, and McCoist scoring in the 1-1 draw with Norway that qualified us. Great days

Is that a reserve game? My older brother was trying & failing to indoctrinate me back then & I always seem to remember it being a lot fuller than that.
I remember going to Celtic Park with Accies when we first got promoted to the Premier League in the mid/late 80s, and the attendances v Accies were usually in the 15,000 - 20,000 mark.
A quick google check confirms the crowd of the Celtic 8 Accies 3 game in 1987 as 16,380.
Although admittedly, Accies aren't the biggest draw in the world

Yes, that's true, which is why the seating configuration is completely different from what it was at old Douglas Park. It's like getting a giant lego set with no instructions, so you make it up as best as you can, but it never looks quite right

How many teams in the world see it as an irrelevance if they're missing 5 first choice players plus a few?
In fairness, Accies were missing plenty of first choice players as well. No David Templeton, Lewis Smith, Sean Want, Jamie Hamilton, Will Collar, Charlie Trafford or Kyle Munro.

Heavy and convincing away win, unfortunately. We are so so bad this season.

Your system is probably fairly accurate. Oakley in 19/20 was half the player he was the year before. D'Acol is definitely the best we're had since MAC. Oggy got better in 19/20 compared to 17/18. Rakish Bingham was fucking rotten, he's maybe a little higher than I thought he would be. And Eamon Brophy had plenty of chances at Accies, and never really grabbed them; wasn't surprised when he was freed/left, and I have been surprised he's done so well at Killie. Your system is pretty much bang on the money, IMO.

We are utter cack and even if you fielded a team of 16 year olds we would still give you a 3 goal start.
The only way we are getting off bottom of league is if you forfeit this one and we get a 0-3
This. St Mirren will be desperate to get the game on, even if they have to play kids and keepers outfield, because we are utterly dreadful at the moment. In the last month we've given Aberdeen, St Johnstone, Hibs and even fucking Annan three goal leads against us in the first half.

It's a fair point.
I don't mind McIntyre as much but it's a broad brush of shame for the other names you mentioned. It's a litany of shame too, from these so called "footballing experts" knowing f**k all about how the Bet Fred early rounds worked to how the Nations League works, down to why people may not agree with successful businesswoman Anne Budge's world view. I'm not blaming them for not knowing in the first place, but they are literally paid to give opinion on these matters. Not knowing the basics is a damning indictment. I'm sure they are all "good old lads" while standing up at a bar giving it anecdotes from their playing days, but that's not what they are there for. What's more, if they don't know they should just say, "I'm not sure" or "I've not looked into it in detail", instead they try to bluff their way through things as if they have the knowledge. The fucking Internet is at their fingertips, it takes seconds to swat up on a subject, no doing so is just lazy and shows contempt for your audience. The old adage, "better to keep quiet and let people think you are stupid, than to open your mouth and prove it", certainly seems apt.
That applies to Cowan and Cosgrove too. Let me be clear I'm not calling them idiots, it's clear they are not, I'm calling them lazy and as I've mentioned before the "ill informed" tag may have seemed irreverent in the late 90s, it's now associated with twitter trolls, trump deplorables and conspiracy fools.
Nail on the head. I gave up when one year they said they had no idea how the play-offs worked. They are professionals, for goodness sake, show some professional pride and go and look it up. Pretending to be thick or ill-informed isn't really entertaining - it is possible to be funny whilst still knowing what you are talking about. If they can't be arsed looking up the basics of the football tournaments they are commenting on, I've got better things to devote my time to.

So was Colin Harris, until one day he missed one and then was like an absolute coo for the rest of his Accies career.

English is as bad as the rest of them.
The Tom English that appeared on Sportsound during Admin and Liquidation of Oldco is not the Tom English that we have now.
Agreed. He used to come across as intelligent, eloquent and informative. Now he's fallen into the Gerry McNee "saying stupid stuff just to get a reaction" camp. Have stopped listening to anything he's on now.

You clapped that shite? You made some good points about killie- we definitely need to strengthen. I really don’t know how you can watch that pish every week. Do the fans not demand more in terms of attacking intent? How do you feel about the time wasting and weekly shitfesting? Surely you’d prefer to be banging in the goals every week in the Championship rather than playing really negative stuff in the top division?
Genuinely not a fishing expedition- I just couldn’t be loyal to that kind of football
You forgot to mention the size of our support.

Applied for one Hampden and 3 Wembley group games. Assuming if we qualify, we’ll play England at wembley
If both Scotland and England qualify, it'll be a toss of a coin to see if the game's at Hampden or Wembley. Both countries are guaranteed min 2 games at home, but one of us will obviously have to have 3.
