  1. I have no I’ll will towards Queen of the south,if it wasn’t a case of us or them I wouldn’t want them relegated. I don’t really care much about Willie Gibson, he has been pretty much an irrelevance for a few years. seeing his comments makes me hope we ruin his weekend
  2. Hopefully Bullen doesn't come out with any empty platitudes this week..................
  3. So. Thistle, managed by Ian McCall come calling next Saturday in a game they may well have to win to stay in a promotion play-off place. Who do we think he'll announce on a pre-contract from us next week?
  4. They brought on the wide player and he started running at the defence. They brought on Todarov and he did the same, we started to lump the ball aimlessly forward again, McKenzie didn't retain the ball the same way O'Conner did. Its basics like that that have cost us all season, get the ball, can I run with it? No. Can I pass it forward to a team mate ? No Can I pass it sideways to a team mate? No, Can I pass it to a team mate behind me? Yes. Pass the ball then try to find space. What McKenzie did was, Can I run with it ? No, f**k it. Lose possession. Can I pass it forward? Lets give it a go...No, Can I pass it sideways or back? No because I have already played the ball off of a Dunfermline players shin trying one of the other two and lost the ball. McKenzie isn't the only culprit, McInroy is bad for it as well. Saturday was the first time I have seen us retaining possession and having movement off the ball and it worked well. We just canned it as soon as we were put under pressure.
  5. I don’t think the effort is missing, it’s concentration that seems to be lacking. Saturday was a good performance ruined by bad finishing and bad goalkeeping. Everything went to shit after Dunfermline made changes and upped the tempo and we didn’t cope for the last 15 minutes. I’m still not sure about travelling down and may decide on the day. I’ve had too many Saturdays ruined by poor performances, the same set up and the same mistakes. Mostly avoidable errors that just frustrates the life out of me
  6. If we go down in 10th then every member of the coaching staff should be sacked. f**k this rebuilding job nonsense. Queens overturning a 6 point gap at the sharp end of the season would be an embarrassment.
  7. Hopkins signings had a mixed reaction. For a start, players were leaving under freedom of contract and moving down levels just to be away from us. He signed McAdams and most folk thought it was a good move. He signed Salkeld, most folk thought it was ok, he wasn’t going to be our main forward, as long as he chipped in with a few goals we’d be ok. The flagship signing we are going to make will be the big one anyway…. Fjortoft, that’s plenty ex Morton players, at least it’s not Sean McGinty HAHA McGinty - get this fucking clown out of our club and take McGinty with him. McCallister, highly rated by a league one club. There was a clip of him running really fast that impressed some people Afolabi, He was in the world top boys list a few years ago or some pish, he played briefly for Dundee and was ok Adeloye, more clubs than goals in a relatively short career so far, impressed on trial O’Conner, his agents press release said he was they type of player to get the fans out their seats( unfortunately Duffy and Bullen haven’t allowed O’Conner to get of his) The boy from Hibs I can’t remember, he’s 17, apparently highly rated. Meh All this business was carried out between Hopkins holidays while we were being told not to panic, all the business would be done at the end of the window. There was no way we would enter the league campaign with only three midfielders….true to his word, we didn’t…….he loaned Miller to Stenny and left us with two, the big faced ginger p***k
  8. There are racial stereotypes that should just be avoided in any public forum. AUMedia have stumbled on one, consciously, unconsciously or unintentionally. As far as I am aware, they haven't persisted with it so giving the benefit of the doubt, it was unintentional. Adeloye isn't lazy, I saw him getting bood off the park in a game against Morton where we didn't have a shot on goal, there was quarter of a pitch between Adeloye and the midfield. Because of the way we set up, Morton were able to put 2 centre halfs on Adeloye so any ball played to him was picked off. I'm sure it must have been a frustrating afternoon for him as well as the fans. He could have looked lazy but there was absolutely no point in him being on the park the way we were playing. This season has been every bit the shitshow last season was but there are at least aspects of this team that are likable. Adeloye is getting in to positions but taking a small % of them, he is the only one getting in to positions and that is a wider problem. having someone scoring regularly near him would help take the pressure off him.
  9. Adeloye is like Brian Graham, If you watch BG, he isn't involved much and generally just gives centre halfs a kicking. Occasionally he'll find space in the box and score. He'll get a 15-20 goal a season average. We played in a way that suited Adeloye on Saturday, using width to stretch Dunfermline and letting Adeloye put their defence on the back foot. We normally have midfielders carry the ball to the 18 yard box and give it away trying to pass it in to a packed area. We did it against Raith and Dunfermline and it worked(mostly) and it is 100% better to watch. We have had so many players who have scored goals in bad teams, Bilsland, Jackson, Moffat, Roberts, Parker to name but a few and none of them were abused, it all came down to how bad the manager was at the time. Every team has a hero or a player who stands out regardless of how bad the team are and this one doesn't really have one other than Adeloye.
  10. To be fair, when Djaffo was putting in effort, he was brilliant but when he couldn't be bothered he made no secret of the fact. Reynolds was a fans favorite, he certainly wasn't lazy. He wasn't very good and put 95% of crosses out the park but he wasn't lazy.
  11. The targets might not change Doesn't mean the players themselves want to sign up to a continuing circus.
  12. I've got a feeling Smith might fling a bit of money at if we go down, going down will be bad enough but staying down would be disastrous, with the Hub, Mathue, Glendinning and the other stuff going on off the field we would need to bounce back at the first attempt. He is maybe flinging a few quid in bonuses at the squad as an incentive for them to stay up. Maybe why some of the players looked gutted at the final whistle.
  13. If we go down, we will probably lose Adeloye Reading Murdoch Muirhead Baird Fjortoft O'Conner Albinson We will have no chances of keeping McInroy, Dempsey or Maxwell
  14. Ayr and Dunfermline to both lose. Ayr to concede less than Dunfermline.
  15. It looks like we cave whenever we play a team that looks like they want to win. As soon as Dunfermline made subs we looked like we were going to lose, we stopped holding on to the ball, we stopped finding space and just chucked it. If Queens decide to play for a bit of pride next week, that would probably be enough against this team of spineless b*****ds.
  16. O’Conner has scud booked about clubs for a few years, playing trial matches through every summer. I’d imagine he’d be looking to stay if we offered him something. The danger would be a different team offering him something
  17. Dunfermline made 2 subs and turned the game, we made 2 subs and made ourselves worse. The link-up between the midfield and forwards has been appalling all season and O’Conner improved it massively today. We created more chances than we normally do and looked to be winning without being in any bother at all. The two players went off and we turned to shit. Could have been 3-4 in the end.
  18. I have never been to a player function because I don’t trust myself to be drunk around players. Giving positional advice to players or tactical advice to managers while they grin and nod, waiting for the opportunity to f**k off
  19. There was a streaker with long blond hair arrested at an Ayr v Falkirk game years ago. they jumped the wall on to the track down at the corner of the railway end just as two policemen were passing and they never made it to the pitch. All the Ayr fans were booing that they had been stopped. Turns out it was a guy in a long blond wig.
  20. Anyone at the Scottish cup Game up in Dundee in the Reid era would never complain about stewards at Ayr. One steward caused a mass brawl, several arrests and a 12 year old to get flung down a flight of stairs
