  1. @Finlay21 if the new home kit is bespoke, will it be the same situation as last seasons away kit, a one and done only available on pre-order? it’s not fair on you having to answer these questions all the time but no one else is telling us anything.
  2. I don’t see much of it as I don’t drink much craft beer at all, Bellfield Bohemian Pilsner is about the only one I have drank more than once. I’m sure no company wants to look like a b*****d employer. The company I work for have a local leadership program for woman and an LGBTQIA focus person on-site. These people have no budget or authority and only send out emails asking people to update their auto signature with the pride flag company logo and things like that. From an outsiders point of view, the company supports women in leadership and the LGBTQIA community. If a company can do the absolute minimum for its employees, it will.
  3. I worked for a large American company, they put in processes for basic operators that were appalling. The company said they didn’t recognise unions and wouldn’t speak with them. They didn’t break any employment law, they had the local MP on site to address complaints with the site management and you know what changed? nothing because they didn’t break employment law. if anyone is surprised that a company will try and squeeze as much out of an employee legally while paying them as little as they can, then they probably still believe in Santa. They closed the UK pension scheme but paid billions of Euros in to the German pension scheme because it legally had to. UK workers legally had to work bank holidays but in France and Germany, even the US, you would never have someone working a bank holiday. I’m sure if the Brewdog staff gave a list of their issues, half the population would say “Ppppfft you think that’s bad?” That’s why I said I don’t understand what the rant is about, they gave no examples and made a couple of bitchy remarks about fake publicity stunts. They accused them of not paying enough money to charity which could be seen as defamation so they aren’t that scared of litigation
  4. I am guessing Todorov because he’s not signed for anyone else. All other clubs that were rumoured to sign him have been signing players……
  5. I haven't seen Brewdogs spin at all, just the PWP post. All the accusations seem to be, they weren't very nice to us but we wont say in what way and loads of other folk aren't happy but are scared to say so.....
  6. I don't understand what these people are trying to get across. If Employment law was broken or at least bent, then accuse them of that, this all seems like a bitter rant from someone who was told to leave the party. I'm not a craft beer fan, I had Brewdog once and it gave me chronic indigestion, I would be more understanding if the statement just said, your beer is not as good as people think it is rather than, your self publicity to promote your brand is all false.
  7. The government position is about trade off, if they allow schools to go back, medium to large events can’t return until the impact of the former is assessed. That is fair enough. Schools before gyms, cinemas, bingo etc. Pubs with restrictions before music venues and comedy clubs, etc. All about controlling the risk. 10,000 folk in a fan zone and 12,000 folk a couple of miles away at Hampden seems like a big jump from what we have had up until today. Without testing or an insistence on 2 vaccines it seems like they aren’t looking at controlling the risk to the level they have been up until now. so they can’t let the genie out the bottle for the Euros and then try and force it back in for Stirling Albion v. Annan in 6 weeks time
  8. If the fan zones get the go ahead next week then there is absolutely no way they could justify shutting football down in July. 10,000 untested people in one commercial owned and operated area v a limited crowd of even 1500 without alcohol. I’m not making any political point here, I think that with the new variant, there should be testing or at least a reduction in numbers to prevent a rise that would delay a return of fans next season. f**k the Euros and f**k the fan zone if it leads to another 3 months streaming games. If they go ahead as is and it leads to a delay then the government will be 100% to blame
  9. Todd was a bit underwhelming for the majority of time he was with us, maybe have been better had he been match sharp but not that bothered he’s not stayed. although after last season I could say that about any of the players.
  10. Having a goalkeeper get injured wasn't the clubs fault. When they did, we got a loan goalkeeper and had a youth keeper/loan keeper on the bench. which was my point, I didn't say they were any good or not. I said it was possible to not sign 2 full time first choice goalkeepers
  11. If we sign 2 experienced keepers only one can play at any one time so we are paying a decent wage for benchwarmer. I didn’t say anything about not having a second goalkeeper at all so I don’t know where that came from. having a young goalkeeper or a part time keeper on the bench as backup, but as last season proved, you can get an emergency loan on the morning of a game if you have to.
  12. Ally Semple has left Cumnock, we were signing him every summer Roberts was manager yet ended up with Ally Brown for one of them. It doesn't make sense to have two full time senior keepers at this level unless they are going to split the playing time, a first choice and either a youth or a part time keeper as back-up would make sense.
  13. No, I think it was Graeme, he was a left back/left centre half. Don’t think he played much
  14. We paid £100k for Sammy Johnston (Alan’s brother) from St Johnstone he was the record signing until the Daziel era, not sure if we broke that during his spell. We swapped him for Cammy Duncan fairly quickly if I remember, maybe 3 months or so. McCleod spent a fortune that year on fairly forgettable players. As a result, I remember getting slagged at school from Kilmarnock fans because we had signed a player for £3000 and something like 6 footballs during the Burley era. Somebody McVey I think, from Clyde
  15. Todorov is the last Player within our limit that is any good left in Scotland. if it’s not him then it’ll need to be someone from further afield. I’m not sure how Brexit impacts things but presumably it’ll be lower league England/loan. the time is right for a Stainrod supplied classy French nobody to provide a bit of flair.
  16. I think folk need to get over the McGinty signing now. Our season can't be defined by signing him. He may turn out to be useful..... PR is a marvellous thing, Gerry McLaughlin signed for Ayr and fans took to him like a cult hero despite him being a liability. Round about the time he signed, AUTV put out a video of Alan Forrests goals, about 8 of them featured Gerry belting out of position and getting done by Forrest. Pettigrew was a "gid Ayr man" but was a liability. He isn't a player that is despised by the support and maybe the pressure of trying to impress will be the making of him. or he may be shite, who knows, but he needs the chance to prove he's not.
  17. Best - Henry Templeton, Shankland is probably the most complete player we have had but Templeton put a smile on my face every time he touched the ball Worst - Tomas Gill, worse players played most games but he was an international on reportedly £3k a week and looked like someone playing backie at 5s
  18. I can see Smiths point to an extent, if the circumstances were - He has made a decision to appoint Hopkin A club representative is some capacity, who gets a benefit from the club has publicly slated the decision fairly or unfairly, it could be taken as a personal slight. one bad point of the AU media is the softball questions that managers get, it is fair to slate performances but not individuals if you are employed by the club. “we could have defended better” rather than “Jack Baird, why is he so shite?” I don’t know the circumstances or the relationship, if any, before this but I think Smith needs to have other people handle things like this. he appears to have put a great deal of his own money in to the club and wants to run it his own way, but he needs to realise that being a dictator in a football environment rarely goes well
  19. McGuffie was a player I always thought would be better suited to a deeper, central role. He had a low centre of gravity and had the ability to pick a pass, I think he was a capable winger as a youth but struggled as a senior to beat fullbacks regularly.
  20. With the signings we have made, I think we have consolidated 9th….unless Morton replace the hapless defenders we took from them with competent ones…..
  21. Chalmers……f**k me, Chalmers would never be seen with a fake tan
  22. I renewed (I think) my season ticket today, the guide for renewing was pointless, I got no pop-up and ended up going through the first time buyers process. I’d rather have had a free League cup game or something than a voucher for the shop. I’d rather pay the £10 towards a physical purchase and get a potential free stream of a dead rubber group game, it feels more beneficial to the club but may be comparable. id rather have spent the money today knowing that I was buying in to a vision that would potentially lead to a promising season but it currently seems like a punt on the unknown.
  23. Murdoch and Kelly would be a decent pair with Cardle and one other, preferably a taller, disruptive type for the Inverness and Arbroath games
  24. Kelly won’t be in the Rangers squad this year, he’ll be on loan at Thistle if we haven’t got there first. there aren’t many frees from Scotland that would fit the bill as a forward so we may need to look further afield, we the. End up at the mercy of good contacts and scouting.
