Has to be quality over quantity, surely
You would think so.

It's all very well having a massive oversized squad but all that means is a massive dilution of quality

Dundee United first footers at Gayfield.
Will Arbroath have eleven fit players!! Gonna be a very tough game for Arbroath with a very small pool of fit players to choose from against United who looked good against Thistle on Friday, Just hope we manage to put up a better fight than our last two games against United in which we were pretty awful. Should be a good atmosphere with a healthy United support.

Probably two of the best goals I've seen us score and both at Starks Park. Hammy's goal which which I absolutely love, the coolness when he wrong footed everyone is magic and importance of the goal. Of course now Ally Adams sub goalie coming on at centre forward with an absolute 30 yard thunderbolt. Love them both.

Tremendous comeback from the boys especially given the circumstances. Must admit I never saw it coming but once Adams hit that worldie it was game on. Fantastic point.

Not saying every week but definitely a lot more than you’d imagine, not fighting but don’t know how anyone could really class that as a fight either. Handbags, grabbed his top and got in his face.
I hope everyone backs Bird now they’ve seen it too I don’t know what he could’ve possibly done. He’s been brilliant for us and will be so important for the rest of the season too.
Don't know why you're trying to defend Hylton. He was bang out of order.

It's all very well being passionate and fired up but no excuse what so ever for what Hylton initiated yesterday. Sunday league stuff from a professional. Got sympathy for Bird he was put in a ridiculous situation. Still annoyed that cost us two very valuable points.
Good to see we are actually playing some decent football at last on a positive note.

Jesus Christ Dundee supporters still obsessed with Jim McIntyre. They really are beyond weird
Edit Just noticed their mickey mouse pitch waterlogged again after a wee a bit of rain. Plenty time for them to seethe over McIntyre today then

Wasn't sure what happened at the sending off but 2 Arbroath players fighting each other they should be locked up, cost us two points. We played well and i'm raging we threw away points in this unbelievable manner.

I wondered how long it would take for you to come out with a “telt ye” type post.
Repeating the same guff 10 times a week for 18 months doesn’t somehow make you a sage when we eventually win one.
A great, if slightly unexpected result and performances certainly seem to be improving under McIntyre but let’s just enjoy the winning feeling without the “I’ve known this was coming” type posts.
My god, even when we get a win you can't help moaning.

What is the wind speed?
Wind gusting up to 35 mph in Arbroath if that helps.
C'mon the Lichties

What’s Celtic park got to do with Gayfield? I could understand if you lot had had a bumper crowd but there was about 1500 odd there that day.
Precisely, what other teams do with their away support is irrelevant two wrongs don't make a right. There is no need for some away supports to be dumped there unnecessarily regardless of their numbers. They've paid the same as the home support so deserve a decent view.

Bit of a gut wrencher last night but gotta move on from it. Can't fault the players commitment and hopefully we can hang in there till we get some new faces in along with some of the injured back but McKenna being out till March is a massive blow. Seen Bird holding his hamstring prior to going off which isn't good but hopefully he got off before too much damage was done.

How is it 'weird'? fucked us over with his incompetence, rightly sacked, then the next thing the clown is twirling a tangerine scarf over his head, get down to L1 where you and him belong.
Like I say.....weird.

That was an absolute sickener. At least we looked like a team at last though. Dundee supporters obsession with Mcintyre is seriously weird, they need help.

Not much of the new manager bounce from us today (not his fault btw) we didn't create much and Morton overall edged it we just look toothless. A lot of hard work ahead of the new manager to sort us out. Morton were ok without being spectacular but it was never going to be a classic in the conditions. Glad they opened up the away end enclosure for the soaked Morton supporters and tbh i wish we would stop punting some away supports in that tiny corner of the ground, i wouldn't come back to Gayfield if i was an away supporter and spending £20 plus to be dumped there. Totally unnecessary.

Just like to wish the best of luck to the wifie I passed in my estate, trying to scrape her icy windscreen with a poly bag.
She probably put the poly bag over a scraper to keep the ice of her hand. Can't think of any other explanation.

No problem with McIntyre cleaning the slate, a bit of a bummer for Malcolm but the correct decision. Gonna be a interesting few weeks ahead but he clearly knows what he wants and hope he gets a fast start and gets the fans on his side. A win against Morton would be a huge result for us.

Not to bad the results for us today, keeps us well in touch with the teams just above us. Haven't given up on us surviving in the league but i will if Yogi Hughes is any where near managing us.
