  1. The done deal has included the playoffs, each year the West of Scotland champions will play the ERJFA champions the winners will then play the winners of EOS and SOS to decide who is promoted to the LL (this subject to clubs who meet entry rules to the LL)
  2. No doubt the share of sponsorship money in the William Hill Scottish Cup will be discussed and how to reduce the number of non-league clubs taking part.
  3. Surely the majority must prevail the situation that one association can veto decisions must cease. The days of the tail wagging the dog should be stopped. I understand that Mr Maxwell has convened a meeting with all SPFL chairman this month the agenda being The future of Scottish Football. Hopefully the SFA can reveal details of all league formations both senior and non - leagues plus all relegation and promotion issues The SFA as the governing body should adopt a uniform set of rules to be implemented throughout Scottish Football instead of each association having there rules and criteria.
  4. I am sure I heard a comment on tv news that Mr Maxwell is holding a meeting this month with all SPFL chairmen in attendance and the agenda is “The future of Scottish Football” Maybe his plan some of which has been leaked will be announced. Has anyone any information on this meeting?
  5. I have seen snow in Armadale,Bathgate and Whitburn and games off travel 8 miles away and there is no snow in Linlithgow Bo’ness or Falkirk area and games are on.Yes it is a small country but weather can differ 20 miles away.
  6. Lanarkshire? Fife and Lothian teams do not play in Lanarkshire I give up
  7. At that time Broxburn, Armadale and Bo’ness carried huge support. Bo’ness were beaten 1-0 at Newton Park by Ashfield before a huge crowd the week before the Armadale v Broxburn game. Armadale lost to Kilsyth Rangers in the semi-final after a replay both games played at Ibrox with attendances around 25000 for both games. Kilsyth went on to win the cup.
  8. When was a rule passed that one association could veto a decision agreed by all other associations surely it is a democratic situation and a small region with 39 clubs cannot dictate the future of Scottish football
  9. There is nothing worst as a last minute postponement supporters day wasted especially the team that has travelled and their supporters. That is why clubs who have a doubt about their game call in a referee, referees are not weather forecasters and make a decision on the state of the pitch at the time of inspection. What a load of nonsense to say that a lot of junior games where off while only one EOS game was off. The reason for that was their are more junior teams in Fife than EOS so it is not rocket science that faced with the same weather situation that there would be a chance that more junior games were off than EOS games in the area. Another case of let’s knock the juniors.
  10. Because the grounds were declared unplayable by a referee and a lot of these games were also in the Fife and Dundee area while junior and EOS games were played in the Lothian’s. The weather can be different in parts of the country and there are more junior teams in Fife than EOS clubs
  11. Junior clubs do not put games off the decision wether a game goes ahead or is off is made by a referee.
  12. The Broughty game was 600 for a mid week game Auchinleck game was just short of 4000.The volley holds the record attendance for a game in West Lothian 12000 against Broxburn in a Scottish Junior Cup quarter final around 1954.
  13. Armadale v Auchinleck Scottish Junior Cup 1991 5 th round
  14. Yes your correct I missed out F I get all excited at this time of year wondering what Santa’s going to bring.
  15. Sadly you do not understand that the 2 new leagues are being introduced to protect the 48. SPL clubs and reduce the chances of non league clubs with illusions of grandeur from entering the SPFL.The same tactics are being adopted regarding the Scottish Cup by adding new criteria for licensing thus reducing the number of non league clubs participating and protecting the share of sponsorship money share of SPFL.Your right next year all Junior clubs will probably become non league clubs and will be impacted by the proposals which are being made. Merry Christmas and enjoy your football in the New Year
  16. I thought this forum was a junior forum about the last 20 posts have been about EOS LL and SPFL3
  17. Evidence yes mr Maxwell,s e-mail no smoke without fire. I do not think that the East Region would dare to make statements on their websites without concrete advice. Let’s face it the SJFA have 129 member clubs the EOS have 39 competitive clubs politics are being played the SFA want their pyramid system up and running compromises have been made.
  18. No I am not on the committee I am a supporter. There may be no junior football as the East Region will be in the pyramid next year so clubs will have an opportunity to remain or move to another league. The SFA have made a complete farce of the pyramid system it is evident they are protecting the SPFL clubs by changing the rules on licensing to reduce the participation of smaller clubs in the Scottish Cup.
  19. The ERJFA will have the same status as the EOS therefore leaving the EOS is not a backward step.
  20. Who knows with ERJFA joining tier 6 clubs might return to that region (Fife and Perthshire clubs) and West Lothian clubs may apply to the EOS.I understand that 2 clubs have applied to the ERJFA in recent weeks I do not know their present status.
