Have to agree. A bit too much negativity regarding McFadden. I think of him in the same kind of bracket as Allan Johnston when he signed 6/7 years ago. His legs were pretty much gone but on the whole was still a pretty decent player at this level for a couple of seasons. All very well having a pacy striker but more often than not they flatter to deceive and don't contribute much in the way of goals. Unsure on his fitness or motivation levels but McFadden would guarantee something different that not many other players would give at championship level.
All well and good keeping hold of him until queens get some cash, but his wages would be much better spent on a replacement thats going to give 100%. I'd guess him and Kerr were two of the highest paid players in the squad
Anyone know how our points for the second quarter compare with those in the first quarter? Also how does it compare with the other teams? Certainly think the second quarter has been much improved even if the league position isn't showing it at the moment.
Can't recall queens having a home game abandoned in the last 20 odd years, must be a good few years since this happened? Think last abandonment was arbroath away around 2000/01?
Pitch looked excellent & team looks as though it has picked up from where it left off last season. One slight criticism is that when your standing half way up the terracing you are unable to see the last 2 or 3 feet of the pitch at the byeline as the barriers are slightly too high/too close to the pitch, i wonder if has anyone from the club has noticed this?
How do folk think this seasons team compares with the cup final team from 2008? Difficult to compare, but think think this seasons is much stronger...could only really see macdonald, harris and dobbie being regulars in this seasons team
Noticed tonight tonight that scaffolding in being put up at the pyramid roof of the old tescos building...is this the start of works to do with the new indoor pitches?
