Its both amusing and disturbing reading Ritchie's statement on the website. He states "he is contracted for this season and can play a large part in our push for promotion and play-off places". Who is he trying to kid? He will be doing everything in his power to get Taylor sold! Then the bit about balancing the books and to justify our investment in our young players. I'm all for bringing young players through but not filling up our whole team with them, its getting to the point where it feels the club are promoting them just because they have invested in them. Now they might be decent young players but I cant but help think that all 6 are worthy of a place in the 1st team squad. Sorry if i'm sounding negative here (probably be more appropriate posing this on that onef) but im really starting to get so disheartened with the way the club is going.

The board get a lot of criticism but they have always seemed to do well in getting a good deal from the player sales the last few seasons. I'll be very surprised if they let Taylor go for 130k. If he did go for that amount then falkirk as a club must be in some state!

I think what we need to remember is we have promoted 6 players to the full team from the academy. They wont be on mega money but the board will count them as 1st teamers now. Anyone expecting signings will be disappointed I think!

I really do hope that's the case Marshmallo. The person that told me was the same person that told me way back in November we were getting an artificial pitch laid for this season so its a pretty reliable source. This is the season to show a glimmer of ambition and go for the league, just cant see us competing with what we have at the moment!

Unfortunately got it on good authority that we wont be bringing in anymore players and if Taylor is sold we wont be bringing in a replacement for him. Holt was told a few things when he was getting the job and the board haven't followed through, this could be a long hard season for us

Why do I get the feeling the board have made an excellent choice in appointing Holt as manager? I'm getting a gut feeling he is going to do a great job for us. Can't wait until tomorrow but the question is do I start drinking tonight at 9 or do I wait until tomorrow morning and have a beer for breakfast??
