Yes I believe they have. When I was at school mind you 70% was much bigger than 30% so it really would matter anyway. Patrons would have a much bigger sway if they take up the allocation of 45%.You may well be correct on first point. I was only aware of MR saying he would step down, once his SPFL role ends. Perhaps you could ask this evening, if you are attending. You also assume the Patrons would vote as a block - far from certain. The MSG plus 20% would form a majority in terms of voting for board appointments.

Having attended one of the two Patrons meetings there are parts of this post that are factually incorrect.
1. If the 800k is raised the MSG will only have 30% of the company provided they all transfer over and stick together.
2. The fans block will have 25% and the plan if the sealing is hit is to continue with subs to give extra working capital each season.
3. There will be a proper process for electing Board members from across the shareholding. This plan will include skill sets and time able to spend doing the job. Will it stop people want to get involved who are not up to it? Maybe not but safeguards will be in place.
4. The Stadium issue is very much being discussed to address the long term lack of income generation available for the club.
This plan is not perfect, it is work in progress but since the MSG have stated this is the route they want to go down and have already turned down two cash offers from separate groups for the club I struggle to see what options the fans have TBH if they want change. If in two years time we are still muddling away moaning about things on SM then we only have ourselves to blame. The MSG will have still have effective Board control

Say what you want about the BoD's decisions but the club wouldn't be here now without the funds they've put in.
We'll see how this fan ownership scheme goes but personally I can't see the sack the board crowd being very keen to put their money where their banners are.
Fan ownership proposal is bonkers;-
- Gets MSG off the moral hook whilst preserving their effective control
- Serves as a vehicle for a couple of people to get into the boardroom
- Doesn't address the big issues i.e. stadium ownership, completion of the stadium, buying promotion
- Dilutes financial resource and flexibility
I'm sure there will be plenty of folk, with the best of intentions, prepared to make a donation, albeit for no defined purpose, for that's what it is, but I certainly wouldn't be punting £10-100k into this model. The company could simply make an open offer at a substantial discount to apparent net asset value / share.

These soft loans that got paid back with interest in the main or in shares. Hardly a free handout.
I didn't say it was a free handout, but when the club was on the point of administration they stepped up to the plate to cover the funding requirement - a fan ownership company couldn't realistically have done that

Genuinely found it quite amazing that Falkirk didn't release him when the tribunal gave him the 8 game ban.
Presumably because they didn't entirely agree with the tribunal, plus there was the "history" with Sheil's father

So where have the boards deep pockets been over the last five or six years?
I'll pull up a chair and wait.
Bailing out the club on a regular basis....and yes I know they are culpable in terms of letting George Craig (allegedly) and the Clown get us into that state in the first place

How can you blame the board ? They are phenomenal with Ffc at heart. Why not help the club out with a small 10k donation
Because this concept of fan ownership is fatally flawed. Better with a hard core with deep pockets than some sort of community enterprise.

I hope these guys have been introduced to each other before tomorrow afternoon or it could be chaos.....

I think a half decent midfield, in fact any midfield, will take a bit of pressure off the back four so perhaps we shouldn't expect much by of movement there - apart from a CH and a goalie obviously. Desperately need creative width (Longridge?) and striker(s) - Rudden and O'Hara would see us relegated.

A scheme without a plan?
I have read the extensive paper Kenny Jamieson has produced. I can tell you there is a plan and it is very detailedYes, I read the paper as well, when it went out to Potential Patrons. What's the plan then? How's the money going to be spent?

Plenty of people work hard and never get anywhere. You need hard work, talent and luck sometimes.
Correct - my objection was the suggestion it was down to "luck".

Probably because it was never seen as a realistic option. A meeting about something that might happen, if the MSG agree, the board back it and there's a pig flying over the North stand is hardly an attractive way to spend an evening.
This looks to be a little more concrete.
I suspect it may not get the thousands of ordinary subscribers that the club would like but I wouldn't bet against it being a success. Particularly as there appear to be a number of people with cash who want a say in how the club is run, at least if the various consortiums are an indication.
This is also the perfect time to launch such a scheme. Given our ongoing position at the bottom of the league, coupled with the popular opinion that the owners don't care about the wishes of the support, and you have a fanbase who're currently more anti-BOD than they've been in years.
If the fans want change, this is the way to make it happen.
You mean, "a" way. How about a deep discounted rights issue / open offer as an alternative. This is a scheme without a plan.

Nope. Just a friend with a great deal of experience in this type of subject matter. These things happen when you get on a bit. The uni mate in accountancy at 24 has a bit of a more senior role at 55. The daft twat who you reckon would never be a solicitor in a month of Sundays turns into one of the best, and goes way further in his chosen profession than you ever imagined possible. That’s how career progression tends to work for the lucky few.
?? Lucky few? You mean if you work hard.

Quite frankly I think we're lucky to have the board of directors we currently have in place. We could quite easily have Mike Ashley, Charles Green or Owen Oyston. I think a lot of people would do well to remember that at least we have people in charge with the best interests of the club at heart.
I don't think we could have "quite easily`" have any of that triumvirate. Ashley would be OK.

Again uttering garbage with no understanding of the facts.
This selection of office bearers hasn’t even been finalised however skill set and experience will be essential to anyone wishing to join the board.
Only people with the appropriate skill sets will have to opportunity to be selected would be my understanding.
you do realise we are bottom of the league, the worst full time team in Scotland and owned by a bunch of old men who have no interest in driving the club forward.
If this fails to take off (I don’t think it will) we are going no where and fast.
Why not support the people driving this rather then slaughter a plan from behind your keyboard and see how it develops. It is not finalised yet and things are to be iron out but the theory is sound and the Patron idea has already generated plenty interest. It would be whoever the shareholders vote onto the Board

There should be a statue of SA outside the South Stand for this. Tremendous contribution not least given there is no realistic expectation of ever getting his money back.
