Saw the result from this and am confused. Why are Championshipn 9th playing L1 4th?
Isn't it the case that L1 4th play 3rd, winner plays 2nd, then winner of that plays Championship 9th, the same as it is to get into the Prem?
What rock have you been hiding under in or have you never bothered about how the playoffs have worked since the 2005/2006 season?

Absolutely. First of all a Montrose derby would be very much welcome and second of all Inverness or QP would be a lot stronger next year than any of the L1 teamsย
Dunno. ICT may say they will be ok next season but dropping down to L1 would hit them very hard financially compared to a us. Big Dunc wouldnt stay on and lots players likely to move too.ย
Seen time and again FT teams go down and struggle in L1. QotS, Falkirk, Dunfermline.

Not going to comment on players that are leavingโฆ. Or the manager (youโll all be glad to hear) but the most promising thing for me is that weโre bringing in players who are proven at this level.
No more left-field English 8th tier punts please and thank you.
What about a player from the Icelandic league or Uzbekistan?

Currently our starting lineup is
GK - TBC
RB - Walker
CB - Steele and ToB
LB - Hamilton
RM - Stewart
CM - Slater and Gold
LM - Dow (but we know he will drift inside to AM)
ST - Reilly and Gallagher
A decent starting XI.

So confirmed McIntosh can go if he wants too.
Have to wait and see what he does then.
But 12 players signed. 13 if McIntosh signs. 7 more signings at least

DC handed out longer term deals quite regularly.
Think they were talking about the hybrid players. Had a few signed on 6 month deal and others on only 1 years.

What/Who are these solidarity payments for ?
Any club that played in the SPFL Premiership in the 23/24 season that has not reached the group stages of European competitions.
So next season even though Livi will be playing in the Championship they will still recieve these payments but Dundee United will not.

Their parachute payment I think is only ยฃ300,000 which won't replace the away attendances of the arse cheeks let alone replacing the likes of Hibs, Hearts and Aberdeen with Morton, Pars and Ayr.
They will also get the Solidarity Payments from UEFA. Could potentially be around ยฃ1m

Something weird that Galston, little gone( McKenna can understand) - the former 2 could get you out of league 1โฆ..feels like something no right at the club. Sad as best PT club in Scotland for yearsโฆ.
To be honest we should never have been in this situation if we wanted McKenna and Gaston past this season. Letting their contracts to get into the last year was a bad idea and they have chosen to leave rather than stay. Their contracts should have been extended last summer but they were not.ย
As far as i know Gaston was offered a deal to stay. But not as number 1 keeper as McIntyre is wanting a younger keeper to take on the role but have an experienced keeper to challenge for the role. Gaston didnt want to be 2nd choice.
Now Gaston is an excellent keeper but he is slowing. Certainly not as agile as before so i can see why McIntyre wants a replacement. Had to happen at some point but at least 1 year too early.

Reckon Gats would have stayed if offered a deal. Not sure about Ricky and Mikey. JMac needs to bring in some decent replacements or it could get ugly for him very quickly.ย
Gaston was offered a deal.

Little, Gaston and McKenna away.
3 big players. 3 big sets of boots to fill.

Iโm pretty sure 22,000 miles a season was mentioned at his dinner.ย
If thats true, in his time with Arbroath he has travelled enough to reach the moon.

I think it's maybe time for me to take a few months off from here...... it's becoming basically impossible to have any sort of objective discussion about anything relating to the club at all. ย
In the same boat.
Blind hatred of all things McIntyre makes this thread pretty hard going.

The start of next season is all that matters.

Usually when sponsors put money into a club they usually get something back in return. Tickets to games that they can hand to friends/family/employees etc , invites to the boardroom for games, corporate events, etc etc. Just part of the game. Nothing sleekit.
And that also includes tables at awards dinners where they get to sell these seats to people they know. Last year i am sure there was a number of seats advertised by the club. This year the tables were all full up.ย
Club has expanded with the womens teams so that has probably ment that there was no extra tables this year to sell to Joe Bloggs as they got a share of the tables.
Next time there is a chance to interact with the board at a meeting, if someone is that bothered by not getting a chance to go to the awards, perhaps they can come along and raise the question with the board.
