We're close to achieving herd immunity where the virus will run out of hosts to infect. We have roughly 2/3rds of the adult population fully vaccinated. Limited chance of spread. We also have a bunch of adults and children who will have immunity through infection. People acquiring immunity through infection that isn't stressing the NHS is a good thing at the moment.
Quite simply the virus will have no place to go.
Summed it up better than I ever could. But aye basically this ^0 -
The decision makers just need to keep the heid and get through this Delta wave, which will pass in the next few weeks.
Don’t panic, keep going.0 -
Double Pfizered.

He’s going to Hibs.

Jab number 2 for me tomorrow. Can’t wait to be fully Pfizered.
Anyone had any side effects from the second dose of P?1 -
Looks like Doyle-Hayes is signing for Utd after all.

The UK travel review is tomorrow isn’t it? Hoping a fair few countries are included on the green list.

A guy I know in the pub has tested positive (haven't seen him for over a week thankfully). His son, also positive, was down in London. Definitely explains the increases.

Where did you find that mate? Looking to find the full doc so I know what’s happening with my wedding.0 -
I reckon we’ll bring in one more - a winger/wide midfielder - and that’ll be us.

Douglas McNeil has confirmed we’ve signed Power on a 1 year deal.

Billy Gilmour has tested positive. Out of the game. f**k.

The more I think about the travel ban 'preventing me' from going to Manchester airport, the more nonsensical it gets.
I can travel to Dundee (318.1 cases per 100k) and go for a pub crawl amongst many unvaccinated and probably untested folk.
I can't travel to Manchester (333.7 cases per 100k) to an airport where I believe the workers will be getting tested twice a week and everybody traveling out is either fully vaccinated or has had a negative test within 72 hours of flying.
One of those scenarios is far riskier than the other but it's not the one that's 'banned'. (Even the Dundee pub crawl is not that much of a risk imo.)
It’s nuts.
We have a flight booked in Manchester on the 8th of July. I’ve got my doubts that the trip will even be going ahead in any case but this is just adding to my bubbling, boiling rage.0 -
I assume Hendry will become the de facto attacking centre back?
Can’t believe Tierney is out man. Sickener.
f**k it, come on boyssssaaa [emoji2528]0 -
Here, and this very off topic, but have the Hearts posters chucked it? Never see their thread pop up these days.

I would only ever play him as a wing back. He's woeful against the majority of wingers in this division. Boyle and Burke both tied him in knots regularly, and Forrest bagging 4 in 30 mins against us was massively down to Tansers inability to judge when to tackle.
As a wing back you'll get good crosses, but he's not quick and won't beat men.
A good left wing back, but I'd rather have Durmus there tbh. You get more going forward and not any less defensively.
We’d all have loved Durmus to stay but he was set on leaving, unfortunately.0 -
Apparently Tanser plays better as a wing back which I guess suits Jim’s desire to play 3-5-2.
Plenty options for the back line now:
Tait - Fraser - McCarthy - Shaughnessy - Tanser
Fraser - McCarthy - Shaughnessy - Dunne - Tanser1 -
Nice to have an actual left footed left back for the first time in what seems like years (Calum Waters doesn’t count)

Scott Tanser right enough!

Looks like Main will be signing shortly going by the official Twitter account.
Meh. Like people have said, if he’s signing not to be our main goal threat but as a pressing forward then it makes sense. Brophy will be our main (no pun intended) striker you’d think.0 -
I also think Christie will be in for one of Adams/Dykes. Don’t really agree with it but can see it happening.

These impromptu ones always give me the fear. Just have to hope it’s to quash any nonsense around these variants and evidence that the WHO has called out the fearmongering as bullshit.
Would love that. Imagine Sturgeon just started going hell for leather, against the fearmongering shite, setting a superb example.
Won’t happen though. I suspect this will be another “We just don’t know” type presser. [emoji20]0
