So you had Humza on the phone to Regan on Sunday night or Monday morning still trying to do a deal to keep him in post. Meanwhile Sturgeon is briefing that he will resign. But she didn't have any influence on that decision.

Patrick Harvie..consistently on record saying that he wouldn't work with a Forbes led govt...but that had no influence in today's events

'Boo to Equality, up with hate'. The only 'hate' around in recent times has been that directed toward a woman who expressed her opposition to some Green policies based on her religious beliefs. Humzas religious beliefs (from a tradition with a similar view on said Green policies) meanwhile were celebrated.

In addition of course, we have a Hate Crimes Bill framed to catch out people who think the Cass Report might be 'scientific'.

But, meanwhile the Greens are back, so raise a toast all round.

Genuinely, all I’m getting from this is that you think transphobia is just swell. Am I correct?

  2. I think that ultimately Forbes is aware that the SNP minority government at present are relying on the greens to be able to function fully. Given that the greens have made it perfectly clear that they won’t work with her, that leaves her the choice of being a part of a Swinney government that can function, or leader of one that can’t.

I think she’s probably playing the long game and hoping that, in future, they’ll be a situation where the SNP don’t rely on the greens, and she can launch a bid there.

  3. NK Lokomotiva - Meet the team

Four stars is a good player for most HNL1 sides, 3 is a leading player for the division below

Hajdarevic is by far the best striker I have - and I have an awful lot of them. That's the first thing I noticed, the squad is fucking massive. There's a couple of decent enough back up players, but most of this squad isn't up to it. Angulo is heading back to Young Boys from his loan very shortly, so probably need some more depth of guys who are actually half decent.

    dpew7n5.png

Improvements to all of these positions would be nice. All of these guys are pretty much playing at their peak as well, which isn't ideal, so I would need to look into bringing in some players here.

    DxN6ofn.png

Given that Hajdarevic will be playing up front, I need better in here. Bockaj is only 22, so if I play him he should develop at least, but I do need more in here.

    HF9Bawu.png

Strongest area of my team. I'm pleased with that and don't see any need for immediate recruitment, unlike with basically everywhere else.

Not only having seven goalkeepers, but all of them are shite.

No, you're saying, crack on it doesn't matter what you do. I think it might matter and I'd rather folk didn't ruin it for those of us who'd rather watch the presentation than run around on the grass - again - like a bairn.

Not wishing to be the Fun Police but there will be actual Police who might decide to take on that role. I'd rather we didn't give them that chance.

Also, three pitch invasions for the one (second tier) title win is completely ripping the arse out of it.

I'm off to the Croatian capital and Lokomotiva Zagreb. They're such a massive deal that the list on wikipedia of major sports clubs in Zagreb doesn't even mention that they exist.

    KBOLajA.png

I've been to Croatia, but not Zagreb, but it was nice. I do recall thinking that there was an alarming amount of nazi-themed graffiti, but other than that. Again, maybe Zagreb isn't like that so who knows.

In real life, they've spent the vast majority of their existence in the lower reaches of the league system, but they have had some success in more recent years since linking up as a feeder side to Dinamo Zagreb - the actual big team in the city. In game, we've been runners up in the league on five occasions, third placed on 10 and lost six cup finals - but have no major honours to their name. Last season (and the season before) we finished second bottom, but only the bottom side goes down and we've been a stalwart of the top flight for over 100 years now.

Croatian football is completely and utterly dominated by Dinamo Zagreb - they're only a few seasons away from making it 100 league titles in a row. They also win almost every cup - Osijek are the only other team to have won a couple throughout the save, and they've only got about 4. A total nonsense of a situation to be honest, but oh well. They routinely get high 90-100 points per season, in a 36 game season.

Based on all of that, and the fact that we're still officially a feeder club to the club I'm trying to topple, makes me think this'll be one of the bigger tests of the save. Here we go!

  6. So far, the allegations (which I’ve no reason to doubt) are that Ali Adams:

    • picks and chooses when he wants to turn up for training
    • Is disruptive when dropped from the team.
    • Doesn’t listen to managers instructions.

Is that about right? If so, being told to stay away from the club/team seems perfectly reasonable tbh. Regardless of whether you think the replacement in Boruc is any better (and I’d be willing to bet he’ll have a better career than Adams), you can’t be having that.

  7. Matchday 35 - May 2122

It all comes down to this

    Spoiler

    vCsfhk7.png

A comprehensive job done by ourselves. A weird game, they had basically the same amount of chances as we did, but we just took ours while they never.

But, as stated, we were having to keep an eye on events in Mlada Boleslav.

An absolutely sensational effort from the Boleslavv lads.

That said, this run of form from Slavia quite simply does not deserve to win a title.

    NbAp28I.png

A great effort. I was concerned all season that the amount of draws we had would cost us, but we got over the line in the end. The perfect season for us to do it really, given that we got a point more than this last season and came third. Sparta Prague got 83 points one season and never won the league, which is a good laugh to be honest.

    wmHMI1G.png

And so I'm away - and up next is Greece.

    Spoiler

    QOoAbYw.png

We did our bit, but we're going to need a favour from Boleslav on the final day.

Great stuff from Kincl with the hattrick as well. Up to 14 league goals for the season now - not bad going.

    54E6Hdp.png

There's no way we can win the league without winning our final game, but if we do and they don't, then we're champions.

A slim chance is still a chance.

It's an opportunity missed, but coming back from 2-0 down is a good effort. Cada coming on to make a difference again, something he's done repeatedly for me. Some boy.

Now just one point in it.

  10. Matchday 32 - May 2122

    Spoiler

    QgLq2dZ.png

On the one hand, throwing away a 2-0 lead in a potential title decider is very frustrating. On the other, with the way the game panned out, we didn't deserve to be 2-0 up - our goals were a free kick that the keeper spilled to our player to tap in, and a ludicrous attempt at defending a cross by them.

But all in, it keeps the title race open, if outwith our hands.

    avsMZd6.png

Aye, we need a favour from someone.

    How have Dunfermline done domestically?

They've only finished outside the top six 3 times in about 45 seasons, they won the Premiership in 2107/08, have two Europa Conference League titles and a number of cup victories. Their youth team also reached the challenge cup final a wee while ago.

    So fairly well all in.

  12. Europa Conference League - Semi Final - May 2122

    Spoiler

    lLqxFGm.png

They are an annoyingly good side, and I don't think we'll be playing in the final. They probably should've won this game - they had plenty of chances they didn't take, while we weren't able to do much to them.

    Spoiler

    tvT9mo0.png

    And we're out.

As per the first leg, they were just better than we were and will be facing Montpellier in the final. We pushed as much as we could, but just didn't have the quality required.

A couple of points gained for us, and we deserved the win. Banik had put us out the cup a couple of weeks ago, and deservedly so, so it was a tricky game for us to negotiate.

I think that'll be Viktoria Plzen all but out of the title race - they're now eight points behind Slavia and six behind us, with only four games left.

    B29zDM9.png

Two points back now, and we're playing Slavia next. That's at the very least, a must not lose.

  14. April 2122

    0NLNLlw.png

Three wins out of four in the league, and a sensational result in Europe, but we got put out the cup and, despite taking the lead against Viktoria Plzen in the 93rd minute, we didn't win that game.

    DbBfEM7.png

We're just about hanging in there with a chance at the title.
