  1. Feel free to use this image from last Saturday's game.
  2. It would have to be The Eddie F*****g Hunter Stand.
  3. Always had a soft spot for Billy. It's a mystery as to why he never managed to extend his success at every other level into the first team as well. All the best Billy.
  4. A mass pitch invasion by 6 fans followed by an SFA led witch hunt to bring them to book. IIRC the supporters club shop was selling t-shirts with the slogan "Justice for the Gretna Six".
  5. I am going to write to the Club Secretary to ask why the club has this policy and if there are plans to review it in the light of how the club wants to present itself going forward. I will let you know if i get a response and would encourage others to take 5 mins and drop the club an email. I'm trying to encourage a few folks to come along on the 29th but it will be embarrassing if they all get frisked.
  6. And less than a fortnight to fiver footie again. "AW YOUSE GET IN LINE AND HAWD YUR ERMS OOT....ENJOY THE GAME !"
  7. Really don't know what the point of searches at QP games, when Ben rightly points out it doesnt happen at Scotland games or other grounds. I either attend with my 85 year old father in law who walks with a stick or my teenage daughter. Every single time my father in law and I get searched but my daughter never gets searched. So what's the point. I would love to know what it is they routinely find on QP fans that justfies the searches. Has the committee every asked the stadium management what this is all about ?
  8. Hats off (bowlers) of course to both sets of players for serving up such a good game in awful conditions. I thought Elgin were good but lacked the killer touch. Plus Elgin took the prize for the longest slide on bahookie beating Galt's first half effort in the second period by a couple of metres.
  9. You would've thought today of all days with the weather being what it was that stewards wouldve relaxed their strip search policy at the turnstyles and let fans get quickly into the ground. But know, it was the usual frisk fest and i even witnessed them being obnoxious to an elderly gent who wasn't complying until his daughter pointed out to them that he has dementia. Shocking.
  10. Also interested in what today's attendance was. Thought it eas busier than usual and a decent atmosphere aided by the presence on the Stenny Weans. Ridiculous stewarding getting made to sit down. Usual unnecessary frisking by stewards on the way in. Never happens elsewhere. Think they must get a thrill from it.
  11. Forgot to say....we would have been beat today but for Wullie Muir. Great to see him back to his best.
  12. Relief at the final whistle. Second half performance was abysmal and must have given McKinnon some insight into what is needed. Defence was dreadful and midfield struggled to get a grip on the game. Great moments for Billy down the right in the first half but apart from that there was nothing from wide positions. Galt and Jamieson were big misses today. Really poor but will take the points all day long.
  13. Should be a big turnout given the number of fans of other clubs who want to come and hurl abuse at Ray.
  14. Led a charmed life. A few decent results following several poor runs of games seemed to buy him time but the overall record speaks for itself. The team consistently underperformed. Didnt seem capable of setting a team up to not lose. Not many draws in the record. When he was first appointed Ayr fans came on here and told us what to expect and they weren't wrong. I am sure he will be back in football at Junior level in the future.
  15. Hope you weren't thinking of Block at right back. I don't think that experiment worked. Centre mid defo. Do you think Finnie will start ?
  16. Got to break the home match hoodoo sometime and Saturday is the perfect opportunity.
  17. Next 3 games are crucial. If we don't collect 6 out of 9 available points i think its time to look at the Head Coach position before its too late.
  18. A few hairy moments early on but gradually got ourselves into the game and deserved the two goals. Alfie had a terrific first half. Bit quieter in the second. I was glad to see the back of the Spartans number 11 at half time as he was causing most of the problems down our right hand side. Familiar story for us second half. Lots of opportunities all squandered. Interesting wee rant from Gibby directed at the fowards following one such failure to find the net. Nice bit of banter with Bolo man of many clubs towards the end with our section of the stand.
  19. Planning to stand outside the EGM dressed as the grim reaper.
