  1. Gone are the days of being linked to obscure lower league english players and foreigners I'm afraid. If he plays for a team more than 40 miles away you can forget it.
  2. Which questions why we waited so long to put them on sale. DU beat us on the 19th of May. Season tickets should've been on sale on the Monday at the latest.
  3. Neither did United. I can only presume they were too scared to start selling season tickets to soon after United pumped us. I reckon selling a week earlier might have made a bit of a difference with it being a pay week.
  4. Mind you they've all been selling theirs for quite a bit longer than us. DU started selling at the beginning of May(must've been desperate for cashflow), Dunfermline the 9th and St Mirren the 17th. We didint start selling ours till the 31st of May.
  5. We were dreadful league wise in Houstons first season though. The cup run saved his bacon that year and was a minor miracle. We had virtually zero creativity in our squad Sibbald apart.
  6. He got that injury against Queens though that season which kept him out for a fair wee bit.
  7. The problem is how long do you wait? The longer the window is open the fewer alternatives are available and we've already got uncertainty over whether sibbald will be signing a new contract or not. We lost what 6 first teamers(including Sibbald) from last seasons squad and so far we've only signed one. A lot of work for Houston still to do then
  8. Is McCart not a centre half? We surely dont need any more of those? And if we havent got a pot to piss in surely the last thing we should be doing is spending cash on a CEO .
  9. I'd rather be talking about actual signings but rumours are unfortunately all we have to currently discuss. I remember the players at the time raving about Danjil Marceta when he signed and we all know how that one worked out.
  10. Duffy was our player. It looks like Hardie is possibly going to be a loan which is a totally different situation. We hadn't just given mcsween a new contract. He had been given a long term contract a few years before so we couldn't get rid of him As soon as it ran out he was off the books.
  11. Why sign up shepherd on a deal and have o'hara in the squad and then bring in a youth player from servo. No sense in that. St mirren punted him and replaced him with loy.we're going the other way. The whole loy thing is a simple rumour to make us look ambitious whilst we actually sign the same mediocrity.
  12. Feck sake going from Rory Loy to Ryan Hardie would be like looking at a Ferrari and then actually getting a lada. Utter mince at st mirren and relegated with raith.
  13. Whens the big announcement that theirs going to be a big announcement? McHattie must be playing hardball with Houstie.
  14. I certainly wouldn't waste a big wage on him though. Even after a wage cut at St Johnstone he'd be on more than probably anyone in our side. To me he's not good enough for that kind of dough. I'd rather we saved our budget for players we really need to push the boat out for. He's a left sided centrehalf too and we've already got enough of them.
  15. He always had a major weakness in the air and to me he was never the quickest and certainly wont be any quicker now being older and having come through a number of injuries. My worry would be playing him beside Grant who isnt exactly usain bolt. He was also prone to the odd total feck up.
  16. I think the fact he played more games for Falkirk than anyone else means we have a decent idea of what kind of player he is. He'd do a job as a back up for Gallacher and also gives you the option as a back up centrehalf. Good man to have on the bench.
  17. Well he and edjenguele were snail like when we played them in the playoffs last season.
  18. Tam was ok at centre half but too slow to play left back the last time he played for us so god knows what his pace is like now. He offers absolutely nothing going forward in that position either. I certainly wouldn't have him instead of Gallacher.
  19. Yeah the point is they keep talking about this quality and then sign players like Alex harris
  20. Murdoch will surely be their starting right back unless they sign someone else. With him scobbie and the two centre halfs it will undoubtedly be the slowest defence in scottish football.
  21. 'The club are continuing to work hard to bring in the quality of signing required to help make this ‘Our Time.' ' I'll believe it when I see it. They appear surprised that the signing of Alex Harris hasn't resulted in a deluge of fans wanting season tickets .
