  1. Thought Petershill made it difficult, tactics were interesting and stopped our wingers most of the game. Were unlucky a few times. Hopefully I caught Ally Parks goal well it was a cracker.

Overall imo we looked hungry, determined and could run through walls. All extremely positive.  Cup next weekend but cannot wait to get back to the league, believe we can do this

  2. Neil seemed a right character, Can’t mind the story but sure he was in the paper running about a Darvel game in his underwear? Remember it because the first comment on the story was someone saying “that’s my lawyer..” lol! Also some memory of Hurlford perhaps trying to sign a relation of Galls but think he went to darvel instead. Gall then took over some time after that?

Maxi is a top manager, worked wonders at KRR.

Yeah 100% nice guy as well, made the roy our bogey team for a while there. Actually reminds me to check in on the ground situation. Last I saw they were being contacted individually by the council but was some suggestion broomhill or similar might out bid them

    Who's "folk"?

I get messages, comments and sometimes very vocal demands from some supporters. Not everyone appreciates it’s a free service I provide for them. Sometimes get nice comments or a thank you mention at the end of seasons awards, but just endless criticism from some characters 😂😂

If true that he applied for another job whilst in his current position then that alone should be enough to see him off.

tbf and no defending anybody or actions but I saw about 200 ‘in the know’ WhatsApp messages linking about every manager in the west to the job, so not sure how accurate that info would be.

Stafford has improved massively this season and have proved me wrong I'll admit.

The less said about Aidan Wilson the better.

So.. so close there! 😂🙈 naw takes a lot to say you were wrong, especially on here so respect for saying that. Staff has set the bar much higher for Aiden on the opposite side imo but different players and a lot of season left.

  7. I’ve got the highlights which should be up later so can have a look. Said a while back I think staff was a major major signing for us to some criticism, happy clapping etc. Truth be told I think everyone was just exhausted from last season.

Certainly we are fortunate/rich in Tuckers abilities to spot players and rebuild as replacing two pro experienced fullbacks in a pretty crazy market, is no small task. Boyle also looking like another hidden gem. Hope it continues as you love to see it 🔥⚽

We lost a few players during Chris Strain's final months at the club and then Syme and McGowan to Darvel.

There was a core of players who remained at the club yet initially Gormley refused to play them despite many of his own signings failing to perform. Gormley brought in so many players that some came in for a game or two and then left, the revolving door in full swing.

He signed experienced players in Chris Millar, Mark Miller and Kevin Nicholl, none of these players has worked out. I'm assuming that all 3 will be on reasonable money.

Recently Gormley has resorted to relying upon the players who were here when he arrived Lewis, Collins, Stuart, Woods, Gavin Millar, these are our best players.

Of the multiple signings he made, very few have been successful, Mackin, Gordon and McIntyre being the best.

We lost our goalkeeper Craig Gordon to a training ground injury and have had to reply upon our u21 keeper who has had no help from the defending in front of him.

Who knows where the Buffs go from here? We are in a relegation battle, something we've not been used to for a while now.

Is Gormley the man to take us forward? Who knows is the genuine answer. Going forward we are still reasonably good. At the back we are absolutely shambolic. Those running the club will have a view, I wouldn't be surprised if we stuck with Gormley for now. As noted the market for players is expensive and competitive, I wouldn't imagine there is much cash at the club if any.

Cheers for the honest appraisal, can only get so much from the highlights so helps understand. Aye agree that’s a tricky situation, know myself how much confidence can impact on things. Not sure if its loan moves from another club to shore it up a bit? I see a lot of good players sat on different benches every week, could be playing and developing but appreciate  it’s not as easy as I think it should be to set up loans.

A commemorative Empire Biscuit and up the road with ye!! lol

  10. Hope the injuries aren’t long term, horrible thing. Manager wise, forgive me and probably my ignorance, did he not take on a squad that had seen decent players sold, moved on from it etc, long term manager departed, had to rebuild a team in probably the most competitive market in recent memory, Not long ago Leishman was reportedly being offered a head turner to join buffs for comparison. Also the former Chairman (who maintained a high level of visibility) decided to part ways.

My point being is that not lot of change as a club in a short amount of time? do you think someone can come in and make immediate improvements? Personally I’d stick by him but you guys watch it regularly,

  11. People with more experience and knowledge than me have debated it at length, but appears to keep running into ‘self preservation’ of others that may keep the status quo of the play off bottle necks.

Granted we are a lot further forward than in the past but are we looking at multiple decades for a leveller when it could be in place much sooner?

So essentially how do we as fans, the customer essentially, push for change? outwith our clubs pulling off the incredible in the spotlight?

What he meant was the exposure they got today on talkSPORT , radio Scotland etc , not to mention sky tv and the bbc in the town this morning and at the primary school , this has never happened here before

Yeah absolutely enjoy it, Auchinleck has had a good share of it in the recent past.
