  1. Big difference is what Spencer does to the team. For years even when we were half decent it was mostly sideways passing and giving the ball out wide to static wingers. His first thought is forward and this drives us on far quicker. Gives the wide men more space and time to run at defenders and get them back pedalling. The work rate of MacIver is the other key factor we were missing last year but without Spencer I doubt we would be where we are.

It would be really stupid to repay a 20 year interest free loan quicker though, unlike a mortgage.

20k in 2035 will buy you a loaf of bread.

    I agree.
Would be nothing to us when we have the income from Champions League group stages in 2037 though along with our 10000 FSS members paying £50 a month!!

Ah, some detail here. Is this fact or conjecture? It suggests the repayment terms are £17,500 per annum rather than actually 20% of income as the original post suggested.

No fact. I am just a fan with a brain. The deal stated 20 year repayment period. If, like your mortgage, you want to pay it back quicker then why not. I presume the 20% is based on current income to FSS.

  4. If anyone here was offered a 20 year 0% mortgage would you say no thanks?

in the grand scheme of things it is not a huge deal for SG but is for us.

Also the 20% is based on current uptake. If we were to target 1000 people paying average £15 a month in the next 2 years that equates to 10% of income going to the loan payment with first payment due in 2025.
