  1. Yes it is common knowledge, that's how I heard about it.
  2. I can understand what you are saying & the thing that seems baffling is some of these lads have already told the club they are leaving at the end of the season but are still getting more game time than others, so why not look forward & play some of the other's who are committed. As for last night it was great to see Mitchell back on the pitch again though surprised no Kev, as he only got a few minutes on Saturday. The game itself was in my opinion spoilt by very poor refereeing again, lad who got sent off for Ayr looked like the foul was originally on him & they also had a blatant penalty at 0-0. No complaints about the Queens red card as it was a shocker & in all honesty there could have been a few more due to lack of discipline. Couple of good displays for Queens & probably deserved a draw.
  3. Haha, have been informed apparently Aiden Smith replaced the injured Scott, Kouider-Aissa for Paton then Cassidy for Dzierzawski. Good to see Paton almost back.
  4. Did Aiden come on sub then go off, as he's not in the starting 11 you have posted.
  5. That's a good point, it also applies to the jump from U17 straight to U20, as before it was scrapped there were U19's & reserves like down in England they still have U18 & U21 giving more opportunity for players to play competitive games.
  6. Definitely not, and there was I thinking this was a football forum to discuss queens & football matters, not just for idiots like you to post
  7. Exactly, that's why it should be looked at. A club like ours should be looking at bringing through players from the youth system & maybe profiting on them if possible, if not then why not just scrap the whole thing. You couldn't be further from the truth, though I do know parents who have & who have had boys at the club.
  8. Think you are missing my point, It's not about being good enough as I would like to think if they were not good enough they would not be there in the first place, its about being given the opportunity. Take Monday night for instance, from memory there was 6 first team members in the team (which would have been 7 if Pat Slattery was not out on loan), therefore leaving 4 or 5 places left for all the other development squad members. It has been discussed on this forum before when the U19 & reserve league were scrapped in favour of this new U20 set up, how teams would use it, some for youth development & some as a reserve league. It's fine if your in the first team squad & training every day & getting game time. It's not so good for your development if your only training a few hours a week & not been given the opportunity to play in these games or being a bit part player. No they are not but what about the lads trying to come through, how do they get there chance.
  9. Or maybe someone who cares about the club & youth development
  10. The 20's actually have some good young players who don't get a chance with the 20's, never mind first team
  11. Reliably informed game finished 6-2 to Queens with goals from Brotherston, Cassidy, Dykes, Moxon & Scott 2.
  12. Apparently game at Palmerston tonight with the U20's playing Partick Thistle 7.30 ko
  13. Shame that these lads have had to go out on loan to try & get some game time because of only having one team this season rather than reserves & U19's like last, & because of the 5 over age player rule etc. Good on them though for wanting to play & also gaining experience at the same time. Glad to see they are also still eligible to play for the 20's whilst on loan & would hope they get a fair chance to be seen.
  14. the_vortex, on 16 Oct 2014 - 07:54, said: Could be..... I think that's a great shout, knows the club & most of the current players
  15. I would disagree in the short term, it was only just over a season ago he was playing in centre midfield for queens, so I am sure he could fill in at full back, look at the other options currently available, I know who I would rely on
  16. Noticed Ryan McGuffie played for Gretna on Saturday, would have thought he could still have done a job at full back in the short term.
  17. Just hope fowler keeps assistants job as he will be a major asset in the future, just not ready for main job at the moment
  18. Don't shoot the messenger but from what I've heard it's not Fowler
  19. Team included Baird, Dzierzawski, Kidd & also had Kerr on the bench amongst others apparently.
  20. Yes some good performances, thought two centre half's and right back who was unlucky at the death to be sent off had decent games, though thought 4 & 9 looked awful.
  21. 'Did he not take the under 19s or 20s in the past....' He is still involved with the U20's though only seems to be for home games. Fowler has been at the first 2 games of this season but with what's going on at the moment it's anyone's guess if this will continue.
  22. One in particular at youth level, un-bloody believable, how the hell do these guys get anywhere near football never mind a professional club
