If they null and void then surely there cant be any relegation from the Championship
Think Hearts would go down iirc.8 -
Last season we were 1-1 at half time, having played against a ridiculously strong wind. Their goal blew in straight from a corner. Ball seemed to turn through almost 60 degrees at front post.
Not sure if either manager wanted the game to start, but I'm sure Mr Campbell wasn't too keen on the 2nd half going ahead. And sure enough the game was abandoned. As far as us Ayr fans were concerned this was a total travesty as the conditions had not got any worse.
Despite a 260 ml round trip, we thought it would be a farce if the game went ahead, and that's how it turned out. But having started it should have finished.
Funnily enough our midweek trip to Somerset last season was played in full, in far worse conditions than that game.0 -
Genuinely pissed off that the game was allowed to continue today. Clearly would only benefit the team that plays there every second week. Never seen anything like it 35 years of watching football.
Nice attempt at deflecting attention from your own team just being shite on the day.

This has happened a fair bit since we came up to this league, Managers & Fans of “bigger” clubs are happy to give patronising sound bytes about us pre match and when we win, the toys are right out of the pram, sometimes even sacking their manager it’s so unbearable.

More salt in this thread than in the North Sea, lovely stuff.

I’ve just been out that way and id say the weather definitely has the potential to ruin this game unfortunately

This isn't even anything new. League 1 and 2 clubs have been able to use the whole of February for additional loans for 2 or 3 years. Although this year that extension has been added for Championship clubs too.
So in other words, it is something new.3 -
Did I need to pay more to get commentators with teeth?

No name on Hamilton’s shirt. Sack the board
It’s all about the badge on the front.1 -
Don’t agree with that at all... I thought it was idiotic to set up 4-4-2 against a Dundee team who are all about working round Adam in a middle three... Dundee’s (McPake’s) limitations let him off the hook. They could and should have been out of sight by half-time.
If you ignore the fact that it worked and the player Adam was up against was voted man of the match then you definitely have a point.1 -
As I said, he played well. However, Gaston, for instance, hardly put a foot wrong. and kept us in the game on a couple of occasions. Ricky played well too, and scored a decent goal. TOB rescued us at the end when he wasn't the favourite to win the ball etc, etc.
Maybe it's just my complete total and utter bias against the Old Firm. I hope that Ben wins me over in the next few games.
Gaston made a good save but his kicking was horrendous, gave the ball to the opposition on numerous occasions.0 -
Surely linn & stewart need to start next week and i’d quite like to see ruth given a start up top too. I just dont see what doolan & hilson offer us
The way we finished is definitely how we should start on Friday.1 -
Anywhere else on the pitch that tackle on Ruth would’ve been a free kick, he stumbled and couldn’t get his shot away because of the attempt at a tackle.

Aye, they don't spend the entire game talking about the furthest away viewer [emoji38]
That’s probably because everyone know that’ll be George Galloway in his Iraqi bunker for yous lot.2 -
Hopefully the Lichties can put in a decent show for the supporters who have paid to watch it.
Come on mate, if you want to self style yourself as some kind of mega fan by giving Hearts silly money for streams then that’s your choice, but these thinly veiled snide comments towards your own fan base are totally unnecessary.

I’ve bought every stream for away matches this season but can’t get over that £18.50 is absolutely taking the piss so will give it a swerve.

Think the actual result will be clouding some judgement among us but I think it was the correct call not to be bringing Linn on in such a tight game where being really disciplined as a unit was so important and actually working, the fact we didn’t see the game out doesn’t really change my opinion on that one.
On a side note, our set pieces must easily be the worst in this league, our delivery is consistently dire now.2 -
So the club invited somebody down to the club who regularly hosts a podcast to work at the game? Is this seriously what people are getting their knickers in a twist about?

The weakest team we could’ve got and at home is a decent draw, it’s not like there was ever the prospect of a decent away day at the moment.

Is it bad I thought the silence was for Sean Connery?
Yesh.

Arbroath have uploaded the test of the Camera on Vimeo, for some reason the link won’t work on here.

It's the clubs who are going to suffer so badly though.... by the time we're in a position to play real football, the clubs will be utterly fucked financially, mainly due to the decision to provide this 'entertainment' at a considerable loss to every club involved.
As I said a while ago..... it's not worth it. It's incredible that anyone thought this was going to turn out okay..... and it hasn't even began to hit hard yet.
I think with the benefit of hindsight this is now correct but not a single club would’ve been signing up for a full season behind closed doors, the worst case scenario at the start of the season was really mooted no fans until about October.
“Non elite” football in England is allowed crowds of up to 600 in, which for us is what we were probably aiming for.
Even with the rise in cases, 600 in most Scottish grounds especially below the premiership isn’t really risky at all.0 -
It’d be pretty easy to get a media student to point a camera for 2 hours every 2 weeks as a volunteer.

This isn’t alright at all, missing large chunks of the action, camera going the opposite direction of the play almost everytime there’s a large punt.
Mental people would accept this level of mediocrity. Typical of the SPFL, they know they can get away with it.0

This should’ve been the BBC game this weekend instead of the endless broadcast of Hearts away games.
