I don't think we are at the point yet of forgetting about the top six. We are only six points behind Hearts, albeit we've got a tough run into the split.
However, if that doesn't happen then aye, we are looking good for 7th and can have a real go at a Scottish Cup Final. Even getting to the Semi's, with the financial rewards obtained from that (would be decent if Celtic, Rangers and Aberdeen made up the numbers) would signal a very satisfactory season.
Wouldn't mind seeing a bit of David Turnbull in the first team if possible before the end of the season.
Top six has disappeared. 7th or 8th is a more realistic and achievable target. 8th represents an improvement and I'd even take that, especially in view of our cup runs. Lets now concentrate on beating Hearts in the cup. We should be safe from relegation but now have some real battling to do in a very competitive bottom six. Pre split I reckon we'll be in maybe 9th spot given our tough run of fixtures.
If we get knocked out out the cup by Hearts and finish 8th it'll have been a great season all told. Still, a semi final place and 7th spot is not beyond us.

A cracking bit of reporting on the STV Glasgow news tonight. In the 20 second summary of our cup win over Dundee it only showed Tom Aldred's controversial chalked off goal but the voiceover referred to Craig Tanner's opener.

I wasn't being critical of those teams I should point out, I was being critical of mine. We signed two guys that play the same position (Kusunga and Caulker), and one on loan striker (Murray) that we had to swap for the guy (Allan) most likely to give him opportunities to score in the first place. Meanwhile all of the teams around us have been very busy including yourselves getting a brand new strikeforce while NM is bound and determined to play a forward that literally CAN'T score in open play instead of getting together with the BOD and saying 'hey lets get serious here and address our flaws'.
I wasn't having a go I just can't believe what I've witnessed the last two games. We've signed two players at a position where we already have about 6 other guys for two spots. Even our keeper who had been the bright spot of our back line going from a no name to Bain's replacement quite admirably has been totally brutal the last twa games. If Murray doesn't score, and our keeper's form continues in the direction it's going it doesn't matter what Caulker does.
Moussa, O'Dea, Holt, get in the feckin' sea! Oh, and take Wolters with you. Thanks.
p.s. I hate Ciftci, and he's lucky he didn't walk today, but I've never had a quarrel with 'Well fans so good luck in the Cup especially if you get another shot at Septic.
As a "neutral" I thought your team competed well yesterday but there was a lack of quality, especially up front. I don't know if Murray will address that deficiency or not. You perhaps lacked a bit of quality in midfield too. Yes, Parish did let you down at both goals. In many premiership level games one mistake can make all the difference between getting a good result and not.
Yes, Ciftci should have walked but a couple of Dundee players could have walked too. But thats history.
Good luck to the Dees - there are teams I dislike a fair bit more than you lot.

The Well, Killie, Partick, County, Johnstone have signed about 23 new senior players in the window between them.
Well fan in peace. I can't speak for Killie, County or Partick but we lost 4 players during the window, including Louis Moult, and signed 4 players in the window. You guys will be paying Caulker a fair wedge of cash.

Their coverage of the Lanarkshire derby was atrocious. So much they didn't show, missed Hartley's assault and even seemed unaware how serious it was, despite the fan's footage being all over social media.
Their coverage was rubbish they didn't show Hartley's asault nor the Accies player kicking him from behind. We all saw them how did they miss them?

Discussing racism from 30 years ago? How about sectarianism from last week and the week before that and the week before that and the week before that and the week before that and...
No-one condones racism but yes what about sectarianism here and now?

I think he just picks and chooses what suits him.
Its very much based on what is included and focused on in TV highlights. So TV journos and pundits have a huge influence on decisions.

Motherwell and a couple of other sides apparently want O’Hara on pre-contract which means f**k all money...would be a shitter.
Can we flog ‘em Vincent instead!?
I very much doubt he'll be coming anywhere near us after playing for you lot. Who are the othe rtclubs interested?

Petravicius to me is like a Lithuanian Chris Humphrey in that if we actually played the ball in front of him and allow him to get past people with his pace, he could be useful. But also like Humphrey (a player I always liked BTW), if he gets the ball in tight situations and/or with his back to goal, he's not going to do much with it.
At Tynecastle last week, he was making some good runs but was never picked out (he also ran the ball out of play about 5 times....), so maybe there is a point of view where the team need to adjust to playing with him. I'm nowhere near the point of writing him off as pace is a big deal in a league where there isn't much of it about and if we can develop him, we could have a very useful asset....
He'll be a real asset if the players adjust to his style. In open games he could be amathcwinner but when chasing a game he's not your man. As you say just like Chris Humphrey.

They might be roasters but they're our roasters.

Correct me if I’m wrong but I thought pre-contract stuff had to be done in January, so he can’t have signed one yet?
Interested clubs will already have been in contact him or his agent.

Tom English's statement at 1425 yesterday that Kenny Miller's comeback and 2 goals was the story of the day. This was a full 35 minutes before the rest of the Scottish football card kicked off.

Unless I'm mistaken he's on a season long loan to us. That doesn't preclude the signing of a pre contract agreement with another party of course.

However long Lasley played for you
Ok using that logic, can we gain credits for the challenges Martin Hardie put in whilst playing for you? This could go on and on and on and on......

P.S any Well fan complaining about their players being hacked can f**k off. You had Keith Lasley in your team getting away with worse for yonks.
Ok, so at what point can we Well fans start complaining again about our players getting hacked down? 6 months? A year? 2 years? 5 years maybe?

Started well, gone downhill rapidly. Takes far too many touches and doesn't track back or tackle. Leaves the full back exposed because he seems to have no idea how to pressurise the player on the ball and just passes them on.Thanks. While he was with us he showed plenty of skill and trickery but there was no end product. He wasn't noted for his defensive skills. Never really made a breakthrough despite being given plenty of chances. Hope you guys pick up a bit as I've always had a soft spot for Killie.

After the 7-2 loss to Aberdeen and 5-1 home defeat to Dundee this had to happen. Its the correct decision. Mark McGhee had lost the players obviously and certainly lost the fans as we saw and heard last Saturday. Maybe his brush with authority was also a factor.

Sky Sports report that Chris Canning supplied the cross for Louis Moult's goal at Ibrox yesterday.
Never heard of him. Presumably they mean Chris Cadden.

Yes you did. The actual bid was slightly over half that amount.

He's been left too exposed by the lack of midfield cover.
