  1. Don’t necessarily disagree with you but more querying if there has been even a pretence that Kerr in particular is injured.
  2. Not sure if I have missed it but has there been any explanation from the club regarding Kerr & Miller’s absence? I saw Miller on twitter saying he was fit but just not in the squad and he was at the game on Saturday. However haven’t heard anything about Kerr.
  3. Not sure if we can read anything into 5 previous loan clubs but hopefully turns out to be a good signing. Pleased with what has come in so far but hopefully not done yet, in terms of players in & players out.
  4. For our ‘Towards the Championship/Our Time’ promotion push!
  5. Anyone know anything about the initiative to give the manager transfer cash this window? Did it get much uptake? Die a death? Haven’t heard much about it recently, although think I saw flyers being handed out for it on Saturday.
  6. Excellent summary. I’d love it if this was the last word on the issue but I’m sure it won’t be.
  7. Totally agree. There seems to be a perverse mentality amongst some football fans in general and my club at the moment that any form of criticism, even if something as abhorrent is an act of betrayal or disloyalty. For me it is simple, those that carried this out don’t support any club that I associate with. They are not fans or supporters, they need to be rooted out and banned. Also fed up hearing some try to excuse or justify their actions. Claiming that it is ‘banter’, or that ‘they’ started it or that ‘other’ clubs do likewise. Also that those that find this offensive are just the easily offended. Total bullshit. It was a shameful act and in my opinion anyone that defends or it is part of the issue. The club statement was a good one but too little to late and should have been made after the SFA proceedings were completed initially . However I think regardless the statement will not make a difference to those involved as this type of behaviour is entrenched in a small minority who seem to live for this type of hate filled shit. Sadly this incident will just escalate what was once a fairly harmless rivalry into more hate. Although the FFC players should be given credit for taking direct action to stop it by ensuring we won’t be playing each other next year.
  8. Don’t get me wrong Harry, I love spreading rumours, I love hearing rumours, rumours are great but just not ones that say negative things about my team. That type of rumour can GTF.
  9. Fully admit when I saw team sheet yesterday I was baffled & feared the worse & one result doesn’t undo the garbage that has gone before but it may be enough to act as a catalyst, only time will tell. Biggest surprise was seeing Kidd play and then see him play in midfield. He started off well but unsurprisingly faded in the 2nd half. Thought Sibbald was very good and helped set the right tone in terms of effort. Not the biggest fan of Muirhead, his lack of skill worries me but his effort & commitment yesterday were excellent. However the real standout was Longridge and he impressed and gives me a little hope, although as ever with Falkirk that is a dangerous thing. Heard lots of rumours yesterday and have seen lots of tweets today all about behind the scene turmoil and infighting. Take all this with a pinch of salt. Far too many seem to take great pride in spreading shit & some seem to have perverse fascination with undermining the club. Onwards & upwards (hopefully) and in Hartley I/we trust (for now [emoji12])
  10. Think you are being too generous suggesting this decision the result of courage & foresight. It is a decision purely as a result of ineptitude and incompetence over a sustained period. What they have opted for in my opinion, was more out of what they perceive necessity, rather than a careful and well thought out strategic vision. Time will tell if by luck rather than judgement we’ve stumbled across a formula for success. For me I would have thought history had shown us that giving players meaningful game time is the way forward. That player pathway has been closed recently but no need to completely rip it up, just modify what worked previously.
  11. Not doubting that and I appreciate the update but I think BPM is you alias and your name is Falkirk Supporters. But your secret is safe with me ????
  12. Cheers for the update. Remarkably like the update on twitter from FFC supporters. I think someone is copying someone else’s homework.
  13. Before Saturday’s game I would have agreed with you, however just watch the reaction to the penalty award and you’ll see a team full of players not giving a f**k! Barely a reaction! Also when on the end of a few hefty challenges there was no angry reaction at all, just quiet acceptance and if that was evidence enough I would add in Hippo’s performance. All this may be down to a lack of confidence but to me it looked like a lack of effort or concern. The defeats we have received this season all add to the case against. Hammered several times. Whatever the truth, it is pretty grim.
  14. Muirhead!! Really? Also surprised to see Craigen on your list.
  15. Appreciate the levels of geekishness in the compiling of this spreadsheet. [emoji106] Interested in people’s thoughts of who (if any) they’d offer a new contract from our current squad if starting from scratch was an option. A bit of fantasy football I know but keen to see how people feel about the squad we have at the moment. For me Balatoni & McKee worth a new deal. I’d also keep Hippo & Austin but not sure I would be overly fussed about anyone else, maybe Grant and even though it will upset Bairnado I wouldn’t offer a deal to Wee Tom Taiwo, injured too often for me. Thoughts please.
  16. Was about to post about just how dire we are but after reading just how bad that post was I actually feel better about the situation. Cheers Pirate Guy [emoji106]
  17. Whilst I think I may have mentioned I wasn’t a fan of Houston he has left us with what looks like two potentially very good players in Balatoni and McGhee. Both have helped steady a very shaky defensive ship. Balatoni reads the game very well and despite not being the biggest competes very well in the air. However any good Kamma earned is wiped out by Harris.
  18. Totally agree. Understandably the results & performances of the 1st team will take lots of the focus and attention but this type of move could be very significant. Showing the development players that there is a realistic pathway to the 1st team is great to see. Very early days I accept but you could almost feel the Falkirk fans willing Ciaran on. Read a few people on here telling us the talent is not there or that the coaches for the youths teams have told them that but hopefully this will be the start of us getting back to something I think we have been missing and something we can do pretty well. I particularly enjoyed that Ciaran looked a little different from the sideways passing clones you often see from Academy players. However I fully accept that it is too quick to judge anything from 30 minutes but we’ve been so starved of any positivity on this front so I’m going to enjoy whilst I can. Think the addition of Mick McCardle to Hartley’s backroom staff is significant also. From what I’ve seen of him so far he seems a very positive influence on the bench. Really calm and clear instructions. He was heavily involved in the drills before kick off. He was constantly praising the players and he looked delighted at the end with Ciaran’s performance. A change from the over the top negative aggression players received from a certain previous manager.
  19. That God someone else posted. I thought my drivel had broken P&B [emoji27]
  20. Being a masochist I reread some posts from the early part of the season & we really set ourselves up for this wave of pessimism. The signing of Loy & few decent performances in the cup saw many getting carried away. Joe McKee in particular being lauded as going to be instrumental in our title push seems like a world away. However as quickly as things have soured I hope that it can turn again. Based on what I saw yesterday that looks some way off but my hope is the St Mirren game this season was the watershed in terms of our negative spiral that the reverse fixture will see a reversal in fortunes. As with everything Falkirk related though, it is the hope that kills you [emoji15]
  21. Think Hippo a really good player & in a team with little creativity he will be key but his diving is embarrassing. However just as bad as the reaction to the dive. He gets involved with players quite rightly angered by it and that could cost us in terms of suspension. Needs to cut that out in my opinion. Fash has a tendency to over exaggerate contact but nothing as blatant as Hippo. However I do love a BSLM non free kick free kick and fully accept my hypocrisy.
  22. Houston’s on the BBC Sportsound? Talking about his successful time with the National team I guess.
  23. Hartley's PR team spinning this a treat by planting McCoist's name in order to view Hartley as the messiah incarnate and breath a sigh of relief when don't end up with Notsosuperally.
