Announces 4% pay rise for Scottish nurses
Landslide incoming
It’s great seeing the meltdown from some folk(mainly with Union Flags in their profile) on Twitter about this.
Probably the same people who had been out banging pots and pans every Thursday night a year ago.6 -

Spoiling your ballot is pointless and extremely childish. It’s like a kid giving deliberately stupid answers on Maths test. Doesn’t make you clever - it makes you a fucking idiot. What is it going to achieve other than give the boys down the pub a laugh after you tell them “so I drew a big cock and balls instead!”
Did writing;
w**k

Good guy
w**k.

The sooner this happens and Scotland start getting to World Cups again, the better.
What do you mean ‘getting to World Cups’ surely if Celtger colts are playing Brechin or Cowdenbeath then it’s only a matter of time till we actually win it! [emoji6]1 -
Speaking to folk of a certain age and telling them I support Morton seems to bring grown men from all over the country into a misty eyed glaze recalling Andy Ritchie goals and everyone's enjoying his commentary in the league just now as well.
Fans of a team in the North East and a certain Sir in North West England may not recall his goals so fondly! [emoji23]
I still have nightmares at the thought of visiting Cappielow in the early 80s.1 -

Two certain clubs take their colts with them and form a 4 team league playing against each other every week. I am sure they would get a great TV deal.
The rest of us have a 16 or 18 team top league playing each other twice and a second tier of 20 teams.
A competitive top flight with probably half a dozen teams starting the season thinking they could win the league.
I know it will never happen but we can always have our dreams.3 -
Starting to imagine who would get elected as President of the United Kingdom if the monarchy was abolished tomorrow.
Who's up for President Nigel Farage being their head of state?
We would probably choose it by some kind BGT, Love Island, I’m a Celebrity type show hosted by Ant & Dec on a Saturday evening,0 -
Two wrongs don’t make a right but I also note that St J had asked their fans NOT to come to the ground.
I may have missed it and apologise if I have but I saw no similar announcement or statement from a club that had previously issued statements like confetti!1 -
Good luck to the polis trying to hand out fines from now on. Show them this and you’ll get away with anything:
It will be interesting to see if any arrests are made or fines handed out today!
It will also be interesting to see if restrictions are still going to be eased now this week as had previously been suggested would happen.0 -
For a Club that seemed to have their fingers stuck on the ‘Statement’ button a while ago. Have I missed the one from them asking for their fans to respect the current restrictions while celebrating?

The Old Firm won it today and will always win it until the rest of Scottish football remove them like the cancer they are.....
We my team won the league in 1980 it had been 15 years since a non OF team had lifted the title, Killie in 65, and that had seemed like a lifetime.
In the 15 years prior to Killies win, titles had been won by Hibs, Hearts, Dundee and Aberdeen.
Unfortunately the way the game is set up just now I doubt I will see a team outside of the OF ever win the league again.0 -

Were you right Greavsie, yes you were ! Try watching clowns like Alan Rough and Stewart Kennedy in the 70's, never mind Frank Harvey and whichever cat like genius was in goal for us at Wmbley in 1955. Two things Jimmy Greaves was top notch at: goalscoring and his opinion of Scottish keepers .
I remember Greavsie once making a ‘Typical Scottish keepers’ comment once when watching an excerpt of a Celtic game. Then Saint pointed out that Peter Latchford was actually English.2 -
The BBC can’t show a cup final that they don’t have the rights to.
I know that, it shows how poorly run our game is when we have a chance to show that our game is not just about two teams but the rights have been sold to a company that only appeared to be interested in showing games involving certain teams.
Promotion of the whole Scottish game and consideration of the fans seems to be an afterthought.1 -
A Scottish final without any of the ‘big’ clubs involved, so it is only natural that BBC1 are showing Palace v Fulham live in Scotland.

The vaccination roll out - UK v Germany.
Will we now hear a new song at the Euros this summer
‘Two world wars, one World Cup and a vaccine roll out!’ [emoji23][emoji23]2 -
I know! I probably bought a copy from Sportspages on Charing Cross Road. I just fudged the name, it hasn't been a prominent memory for the past 30 years, but it was lurking in there somewhere.
Sportspages used to be a must go shop when living in the Smoke in pre-internet days. I used to buy most of the Scottish fanzines that they had back in the late 80s. I am sure some of them are still in boxes in my folks attic. I wonder if they are worth anything now? [emoji848]

No but like Scotland the Catalonian movement sits at around the 45% mark, are a percentage of Barcelona fans swayed by possible exclusion from La Liga and total irrelevance in a Catalonian league?
The same with Celtic and Rangers while we sit in the 45-55% area every vote is crucial. Would moving, Celtic, Rangers even Hearts and Hibs make a huge difference? probably not but it might be enough to tip the balance for Westminster.
As both Celtic see themselves as a club of Irish heritage and Rangers of British heritage rather than Scottish heritage would either of their sets of fans actually miss being part of the Scottish set up. [emoji848]
Surely any U.K. league would also mean a combined national side as well eventually? We all know where the HQ for that would be and where they would probably play their home matches. I am certain that would be a vote winner in the devolved nations! [emoji6]-1 -

Ah the F word! The only way federalism would work in the U.K. would be to split England up into regions and I don’t think that there is much of an appetite for that down south.
I would happily have taken Devo Max back in 2014 if it had been an option but now feel only independence will resolve the constitutional issue.
