  1. Our home support is dull and boring and I believe at times counter productive. A pathetic version of "Dumbarton clap clap clap" is all anyone can muster as "support" and the rest of the time it's spent berating Gilhaney or Grindlay or the ref for being shite. I can't wait for the Swiss boys to be back over, those guys ken the score.

At first I thought that was some sort of wounded animal crying for help. I prefer the "woooooaaaaah you're shite aaaaahhhhhh" to be honest.

    Indeed. Agree on both points.

We could at least raise a couple of songs at home matches surely.

Hang the big flags up on the fence behind the Goal.

  2. Raith could be a challenge but thankfully I think Morton should be a comfortable win. I wouldn't write anything off as of yet but I feel with 1 maybe 2 wins we will be safe

A few Dumbarton fans thought that about Morton last night.

    We got humped.

    Morton played very well.

Hopefully we'll beat you Wasps down at The Rock this Saturday though.

  3. Please no, horrific attitude. Would like to see us take a punt on Rowan Vine though, thought he was excellent last night.

I'd love to run past him and tweak his beard.

Imrie played well last night, he is capable.

Perhaps a decent manager would get the best of him, more often?

  4. Fingers crossed Miller to be kept in central defence, as he is wasted at left back.

Graham and McLaughlin are good ball-winners but too slow.

    Bye,bye Shug Murray.

    I liked Morton's no.6 last night.

McGinn will surely be signed by a higher placed club, excellent full back.

    Keep Linton.

    Bye,bye Agnew, Gilhaney, McDougall.

    Fleming, Turner, Kirkpatrick staying.

Try for Dougie Imrie of Morton?

Bye,bye Prunty and Nish. Kane too unfortunately.

    Megginson to stay hopefully.

    Interesting times ahead whatever.

  5. It's been a long, long time since I went to Boghead to see the Sons. 1976 was the year I last went after moving away. Now back, I'm of a mind to go along to the fancy dan new stadium and see what it's all about these days.

I doubt I'll be watching players of the calibre of MacLeod, Wallace, Bourke and Heron these days more's the pity.

Get yourself along to the Rock, jock.

I remember the players you mention, the Whiteford's too, the overhead kick to make it 2-2 at Boghead and our promotion to the Scottish Premier. :-)

The days of having the same group of players for say, 5 years + may be gone, but Sons have a new way of working. Decent loan signings, youth and experience coupled with a Manager and his Assistant full of ideas and contacts within the game. Not to forget Alan Jardine and his fellow board/directors/secretaries who are making it great to be watching The Sons these days.

    Enjoy

  6. That's a lot of rubbish then isn't it,hardly any parking spaces outside Ayr United or Thistle despite the fact that those stadiums hold much more than the Rock.

E.T.A Dundee is the worst! Have to park a good few streets away.

    It certainly is.

I have this info on good authority, let's hope DFC press the Council on the issue.

There's plenty of space opposite the Stand at the Rock and across the road on the old Newton Bonded Warehouse site too.

You'd think our local Authority would be delighted for The Sons doing so well, or is the land worth something??

Poor show at any rate, but not surprising really.

  7. Re-WDC

Heard they have already blocked any plans for Sons to erect a temporary stand for next season to accommodate Hearts/Rangers' large travelling support. Thereby denying a local club extra income.

There line is that for every 10 people a parking space is required.
