If we kept Gilhaney we wouldn't have had these problems!!
IMO Darren Barr had a good game on Saturday apart from switching off along with others for the second Morton goal.
We need to get behind the team and if they get the basics right the results will come, the worry for me is the lack of chances we are creating.
Highly competitive league this year, look at how St Mirren are struggling and their fans expectations are far higher than ours!!
It is ever so slightly worrying that supporters are calling for Jamie Ewings to go In goal, he is junior level at best and do you think he will make any less mistakes than Mark Brown?
Turriff, Buckie, formartine , Huntly, Wick or Cove will do nicely
Fortunately Marco de Barros does not play for Huntly anymore after what happened in 1992 at boghead
I was up that way the other week and have to say the likes of Wick Academy, Brora Rangers and Golspie all have cracking wee grounds.Fingers crossed we can get a decent away day!!
Aitken not messing about, could we see some more departures?
Listened to his sons TV interview he was not best pleased on Saturday so hopefully we can find something for Saturday!!
Crazy stuff and as a supporter questions have to be asked but this is basically a new team and he needs to work out his best formation.Saturday should have been a breeze and ultimately we should have taken all three points but if you can't take your chances you will no doubt get stung.
A mixture of Frazer Wright comedy defending and the ref getting another decision wrong cost is and Alloa scored with 2 of their 3 chances.
I would say in Aitken's defence that last season we would have had no chance of beating Hibs/St Mirren so you have to be happy with that.
We now have to beat the likes of Morton etc as that is where we should be competing.
My fear is a cricket score against Rangers if we defend like we did on Saturday!!
Reality check required IMO, would you prefer Nish up there? Or maybe Andy Brown if you can remember any of those prolific scorers.Craig is maybe more of a goal maker up front but he will score his fair share I am sure
Can't see the problem with getting sponsorship in that means more funds for the club, this can only be a good thing.
The ground will still be called the rock by most.
I thought the sons were very impressive last night and they looked fitter than years gone by.
Feet planted firmly on the ground as that was not a full strength Hearts team but you can only beat what is in front of you.
And an added bonus was I got a sneak preview of the away strip which I think will be very popular!!
Delighted with these additions,
If we can find someone that can put the ball in the back of the net on a regular basis we could do very well next season
