Sidney Crosby is a God amongst men who I genuinely believe saved the Pittsburgh Penguins. Anyway, I was genuinely shocked at the result last night with Anaheim. Maybe I shouldn't have been, I was expecting the Sharks to choke anyway.

Carcillo has been suspended for the next game for 'trying to send a message' with seven seconds to go last night. If anything, this will probably mean Philly will take less penalties.

I think I'll watch that later. The Bruins - Canadiens game is on TV right now but I've been out, looks quite tight though so I'll watch the third period tehre too.

I watched the Vancouver - St. Louis game too, and the whole game was all about goaltending, Mason and Luongo both had great games. The reason there were so many penalties is because the refs were basically calling everything, but they seemed fairly consistant so there can't really be any complaints. I can see it being a very tight series between two good teams.

4-1 is fair reflection on the game tonight, we were simply the better team. The defence was solid and it would have been nice to keep a clean sheet but I'm not going to complain.

Pretty happy with the first two periods for us tonight but anything can still happen. If Philly manage to pull one back it's suddenly very tight again so we need to go for another goal early in the third. We were starting to lose control a little in the last 8 minutes or so of the 2nd period so hopefully that isn't carried into the third.

Not long to go now. I'm gonna watch both games on ESPN America tonight. Playoff fever. I has it.

How good are these guys? There are a number of players in the British league who've played in the AHL or CHL, it's probably about the same standard as SPHL or AAHA over there. I'm certain there was a guy drafted from the Scottish leagues to the NHL a few years ago, albeit a very low pick. I think he was from the Paisley Pirates.

Where are you from? There are a fair amount of youth hockey teams for young players to get involved with, but it's not a cheap or easy commitment to make, and most players probably come from families involved in the sport.

I've been to a few Caps games, but I find it difficult to keep up really. If Glasgow had a team I would have no hesitation in going along to every single game. The Scottish setup is shockingly bad. The top level in the UK is worse than both the CHL and AHL, and the Scottish league has about half the quality of the EIHL if you're lucky.

We have to beat Tampa tonight, no excuses. Who's everyone's pick for the playoffs? Right now I'm going for Carolina but they rely too much on goaltending which could be a problem for them.

Lost 3-2 last night to the 'Canes in OT, that's them clinched their playoff spot now, I think we can do the same if we beat Florida tonight although I could be wrong.
