  1. FFC dont need much office space. All we need is a High Street location with a club shop and offices above.
The council relocate to TFS and they are welcome to it.
Hire the pitch and the stands required per crowd expected for 25 odd matchdays then have nothing more to do with the place.
Massive cost saving for the club

I’m sure we have a very long lease that Houdini would have trouble escaping from. We’d need to go bankrupt to tear up that contract….oh wait a minute [emoji23]
  2. Because I'm bored (currently stuck at home looking after the wee one who had to go for a PCR test) I've went through a list of current SPFL clubs and marked off which grounds I've been to.

Currently sitting at 31 out of 42. I haven't included St Mirren or Dumbarton because I've not been to their new grounds (but had been to Love Street / Boghead).

Only Kelty Hearts and Edinburgh City for me
  3. 100% true, we were after him all January. The new board won a watch with that one not getting it over the line. Worrying that their judgement was miles off trying to sign him though!

I think tbf few expected the social and media backlash to the extent it generated but so glad we never.
  4. I agree with this but I also feel that years of bad decisions by the board has really left a lot of fans feeling detached from the club.

I will be at my first home game since we got relegated on Saturday but I will be alone. The other 6 people that I used to go with, 3 of whom were ST holders have either lost interest or have found other things to do on a Saturday.  The new board have a lot of work to do to get lapsed fans back and a better product on the park could help with this.
I also however agree that a lot of families are feeling the pinch financially at the moment and the pending gloom of energy rises, mortgage rates going up etc means they are tightening their belts and maybe just don’t have the cash.

The point about being successful is I think the real underlying issue.
My take on this is there have been some good positive changes over the past couple of months but the whole place lacks any ‘feel good factor’ and the point of being a competitive entity on the park has and is still doing is no favours as we still languish and struggle to show any real tangible pointers of real change in league status. The word I would use is momentum…and on the park we have suffered one too many false dawns.

Football is all about success and the FSS membership will surge as the team shows real intention. Most people like to be part or feel like part of a success story.
One of the best examples in my mind is Aberdeen FC. I know and have known many people who were hooked on their success in the early to mid eighties when they were really successful and to this day they are still supported by those people even though the live in here in the Central region and that was approx 40 years ago. Success means everything, get a bit of genuine glory on the pitch and watch the whole thing fall into place.
  5. Not sure if it’s been covered or not as I don’t use Facebook

I contacted EF today regarding tickets from the abandoned game to confirm that they would allow admission tomorrow.

She also told me if anyone has destroyed their original ticket after admission to abandoned match to contact her and she would have details of original purchase and would send out a new digital ticket by email.

Apparently EF have updated social media channels but NOT updated their website.

The telephone number is 01333 426323

  6. New Post on Facebook FFC. How to watch East Fife game! Come on show us some new heroes/villains

  7. The question related to why we got rid of Hartley. However he was the biggest problem for me because his signings and the closing of the academy sent us down and left us in a mess.
The other failed managers you mentioned couldn’t reverse the downward trend rather than create the problem in the first place imo….

The trouble with your assessment of this is that it wasn’t Hartley’s decision to initiate the Brentford model or indeed close the academy. I think I recall the guy was implementing a strategy forced on him by the Board at that time.

I think it’s strange that he’s never came out and openly explained exactly what happened and why there was such a f**k up and why his reputation was shot to bits. I’m not sure he carries the blame for our demise.
  8. I’m maybe out on a limb here but if Rennie and Miller were willing to stay past this season I would be having these talks with them now, the new board may be doing this. From what I’ve seen there is definitely an improvement in the way we are playing, we are creating far more clear cut changes and barring the defensive frailties we could have beaten Airdrie.
January is always an extremely difficult window and I would like to see them given a close season and a chance to build something for the future, that’s if he was willing to relocate.

You talk far too much sense Harry!!!
  9. I’m assuming you haven’t read anything I’ve written. I’ve always said I can understand why the management and club would go for him. He’s a proven goalscorer and has done it for a club floating about the bottom half of this league. So if a manager comes in on a short term deal and he’s to try get us promoted then of course he’d be likely to consider him.

What is hard to understand about that?

I thought you made a fair point. Don’t know why you needed to justify it. DG would be a fantastic addition to any squad at any time for any Scottish club including the premiership. It’s a real pity he carries so much baggage.
  10. Don’t disagree. But there are at least two rather more pressing issues in our defence that should be our priority.
if a keeper precedes that then we have lost clarity of our issues….

I’m afraid players becoming available do not fall in the sequence of what we require. If a decent keeper becomes available and that position is in the plane then it’s a no brainier.
  11. Honestly can’t believe the negativity on here tonight. We were playing Airdrie today who have shown they’re having a decent season and possibly could go up during the play offs.
I have either been or watched all our L1 fixtures against them since we were relegated. I thought apart from the usual defensive frailties we actually fought quite well and looked a far different team than we did under Sheerin. When was the last time we scored 2 against Airdrie away and missed so many chances.
I don’t know whether I’m watching a different game from some of you on this forum. I don’t think it was as bad as some are making out.
This new management team are literally just in the door and have been here for 3.5 games. I say, give them a chance before you slaughter them. For the first time in a while I saw some fight and spirit and determination particularly in the second half and I think it was a good improvement although the result never mirrored it.
    Onwards etc.

  12. Bit disappointed we never got any new faces in this week. So same starting eleven as last week barring any injuries or covid drop outs. The new system and Williamson being fit for this game should hopefully cause Airdrie a lot more problems. Morrison needs to be more clinical this week as we'll need to score 2+ to win with dick & dom at the back.
Could one of the FTV guys on here maybe ask Rennie in his post match interview for an update on the squad. Is Mcdaid back at Dundee? Will Ruth be staying for the season? How long the injured players are going to remain out for?
And as a side piece ask him how long he reckons it'll take him to punt Mckay & Hall to buggery.

The format for these interviews will be arranged prior and questions asked will be given to MR to make sure he wants to answer them. There will also be no go areas where the club will not wish to give out info and if the conversation strays into these matters I’m sure FTV would just edit it out.

I do agree that interview aired today was pointless and serves no use for supporters hoping to get some insight into what happening at the club. It feels to me the club are just throwing out something or anything really to tick a box to show some form of PR.

Ah for the good old days of the Falkirk TV programme that was broadcast on Central FM? I think. 30 minutes of pure Bairns mania every Friday at 6:30 with news, views and interviews. I would love the club to try to do something better than the effort put in in that 210 second slot.
  13. Maybe an option should've been  who would walk away from the club if we signed David Goodwillie.

Things are never as black and white as this though. Sure we may have lost some fans but who is to say we may gain a larger number back supporting the club as we revitalise and inevitably start to get back up the leagues.

My beef wasn’t the fact we held a poll within the FSS members it was making the findings of that poll visible on social media.
  14. I'm a member of FSS and pleased they have done this. If the aim of an organisation is to be representative of its members then it should be as transparent as possible. Publishing the results and their course of action is exactly what I'd expect of them.

Yes I can agree to a point but I think it should have been kept in house and views passed on to directors etc.

I don’t think logging results on a public form is the right place to display findings etc. it should have remained info within FSS.

I appreciate that they have not put this on this site but possibly another member has.
I feel it should be removed

    Just my view of course.
