  1. What a fucking state to get yourself into
I find myself musing that, over most of your contributions Jupe, such an angry wee gnome.
Imagine the flip side, a guy from Burnley living in Falkirk posting similar on a regular basis. You don’t think he’d get short shrift on here? Hmmmm
  2.

Like you, I'm currently domiciled in England, with family on both sides of the border, but I'm prepared to give this undertaking :

As soon as a date for Indyref2 is announced I will make sure I am living in, and registered to vote in Scotland  on that date.

Assuming  a win for yes I'll be more than happy to make my move back to Scotland permanent and will look forward to consider myself, not just Scottish, but also a proud European.

Britain can go and f**k itself.

And what if a vote for No, can Britain still go f*ck itself? You’re playing to the gallery on here it’s clear, nothing else. You moan like f*ck on P&B constantly about where you live in England and continually disparage your townsfolk. You contribute nothing but complaints about where you currently reside, reckon they’ll be f*ckin glad to see you leave, I know I would.

  3. And of those 1 in 35 how many who would put their tendencies in to action and also have the fortune for a lone toddler to cross their path at night?

I’m not suggesting that someone was purposefully on the prowl that evening Serge, rather that she unfortunately presented herself as an opportunity to someone, who made a snap decision to do her harm, instead of returning her to safety. It isn’t beyond the realms of possibility nowadays sadly.

  4. Watched the Netflix series, interesting stuff but haven’t changed my mind. Think she woke up, perhaps distressed, wandered out of an unlocked door, disorientated looking for her parents and was snatched by an opportunist with wrongful intentions, never to be seen again. Wrong place, wrong time. Don’t think the McCanns had anything directly to do with her disappearance, other than their obvious neglect and downright carelessness.

  5. Couple of observations;

1 - Never drink in a bar that doesn’t sell Tennents.

2 - Splitting the bill at a restaurant is obviously the decent thing to do, and adding up to the £ is obviously tight behaviour, but what is much worse is ordering a starter, a steak, a dessert and alcohol and expecting to pay the same as someone who has had a starter and a main and been on soft drinks all night. If you spend significantly more than someone else then you should be putting in significantly more. I’d be mortified if somebody is subsiding me based on ‘etiquette.’

Think you can forgive the odd slip, especially in a large group but doing it intentionally is just bad form. Years back when the kids were small, we went on three or four summer holidays with a group of 5/6 families and extended friends. One couple in particular (from Queensferry) would order the full business from the menu, starters, mains plus sides and desserts, quaff their way through two decent bottles of wine and then get stuck into the coffees/mints and brandy. Without fail he was the first to pipe up ‘are we just sharing the bill?’ whilst she nodded with approval, ‘aye that seems fair’. Cheeky fat bassas.

I guess we were as much at fault as no-one ever really challenged them. Perhaps because they were quite a jolly couple, no one wanted to offend them despite their gluttony on the cheap.

  6. The upward inflection; people who upturn the end of a simple sentence by stressing the last word as though it’s a question. Generally used by people who also throw in unnecessary words to fill out a sentence or explanation, such as basically, specifically and fundamentally.

    Petty but so fucking annoying.

  7. Is that more an English (maybe London) thing. Dont recall ever being offered chips in Scotland but in a few cafes in London it was part of the cooked breakfast.

Yep, London definitely, and the brass neck to poke fun at an unhealthy diet in Scotland[emoji23]. Chips with your breakfast!!?? [emoji47]
  8. A right boring fucker following. 99% of MP's just talk shite about process. They've been just as useless as May.

She might not add much to the debate, but she sure knows how to fill out an expenses claim form though!
Don’t know how these f*ckers keep a straight face, banging on about the stories of hardship ‘they hear on the doorstep’ due to austerity, whilst absolutely ripping the f* k out of the public purse.
  9. Always buy a programme without fail to read at half time with a cuppa, it’s been that way for as long as I can remember. Had a fairly decent stack built up well into my 30’s and thought my boys might want to continue collecting them. Sadly not, so have donated/given most of them away, apart from a few memorable games and at least one each from all the grounds we’ve visited over the years, including any neutral games.

  10. Litterbugs; people who just leave their shit in public places, sandwich box, coffee cup, crisp packets, half eaten sausage roll etc, just left on the train, park bench or casually placed on shop windowsill. Take it to a bin or hold on to it until you get home, you lazy, ignorant, jakey bast*rds.

  11. Solitary confinement for the rest of his miserable life, with only the very basics of comfort and a sufficient level of sustenance and exercise, nothing more. As mentioned back up the thread by WB, plenty of time, completely alone to contemplate over and over again what he has done. Hopefully his regret and remorse will eventually surface and then gradually eat away at his sorry existence accelerating his demise.

  12. Let's not split hairs eh?  For generations the extent to which "normal" human rights were applicable in Ireland was at the behest of the church.

Wasn’t that Kinc’s point, that Eire has lagged behind England & Wales on LGBT rights for generations under the powerful influence of the Church? Things may well be changing (inc the thorny issue of abortion), but let’s not pretend that the Republic has been some sort of progressive liberal Utopia just because it happens to be a *member of the EU, *which in itself was in question only recently.
