  1. Somebody make this happen https://mjm-sports.co.uk/product/umbro-tempest-jersey-ss-white-vermillion-umtm0322-2m1/
  2. That’s astonishing (assuming it’s for real, though it looks genuine). Wrong war and wrong side or is it just being “inclusive”?
  3. The problem is that they will believe anyone that disagrees with their view is not a true Clyde fan - so much so that they cannot conceive of the potential for damage by taking the stance they took. The whole “kicking the club when it’s down” (where have we heard that before?) attitude reeks of unjustified hubris (just as it did elsewhere a decade ago). It appears that the, now-absent, posters were likely an attempt at a P&B media campaign to sway opinion. Had I known there was an influential group pushing for this catastrophic decision, I would likely have tried to contact the club to put my opposing view across (for what it’s worth). In trying to save my club, the GB would view me as not being a true fan. It doesn’t matter what Clyde fans think of DG - the response from outside our bubble was always going to dictate how this played out. Events in Kirkcaldy made that all too clear and inevitable.
  4. In this seemingly alternative universe, how long before Raith offer to pay Clyde to share at Starks?
  5. Don’t have one. Was asking HH to confirm my suspicion but without necessarily naming names.
  6. Fortunately and unfortunately, I don’t think much happened at that end in the second half.
  7. I’m baffled how we dragged ourselves out of it in the first place. Our luck couldn’t hold and we’ve several players missing that could have made a difference today (maybe).
  8. The stream was as brutal as our “football”. AI camera can’t cope with sunlight and still gets distracted by other moving white objects like plastic bags and, I think, the Dumbarton keeper’s boots. These things should have been sorted by now. Several losses of signal and no audio after a few minutes (maybe not a bad thing). While I’m on, why did the ref think wearing Dumbarton colours was a good idea? If the Dumbarton subs had warmed up in that kit, he’d have told them to cover it up. Neither the football nor broadcasts like this are really worth watching, I’m afraid.
  9. Media and public scrutiny, perception of sponsors (current and prospective) towards what will seem like a new risk to their reputation, and, I’d expect, some soul searching amongst Clyde fans.
  10. That’s what Raith would have thought, if they’d even fully considered the possible consequences - which they didn’t, despite the warnings.
  11. Quite simply, Clyde cannot afford to pay DG without reasonable certainty of having him available to play. The landscape has changed and for the board to take that financial gamble would be reckless.
  12. It seems likely that a shout of “Hey, get back in your box, Hartley” has somehow been misheard by a Cove official as “Shay, get back in your box, monkey”. Police now involved.
  13. This makes far more sense. The Clyde fans in that area seemed angered by something in relation to that incident. I had assumed the guy had sneaked into the taped off area and that’s what the issue was but he was a Cove official. If this is a mistake (or mischief-making) there needs to be an apology. The Sun story referencing “vile monkey chants” (Shay didn’t say that nor does his quoted tweet) would have many thinking a section of the Clyde support was making monkey noises at a player and that we have a racism problem. Again, if a fan has made racist remarks then that should and will be dealt with. Edit to add - did the guy also hear “Hey” and thought he heard “Shay”, as well as hearing “Hartley” and thinking he heard “monkey”? As I said before, it would be very unusual to hear fans use an a opposing player’s first name. I suspect this guy has made an embarrassing mistake that could result in Clyde fans being targeted, even after an apology. Further edit - does every shout starting with “Hey” get attributed to Shay in his weekly record-keeping? Why does he think opposition fans know and use his first name?
  14. If someone shouted racist stuff, that’s out of order. It’s a bit “naughty”, however, to suggest this was sung by several Clyde fans. I didn't hear these “chants” this afternoon, though I don’t sit near the choir. Surely they would have been audible, given the acoustics of a near-empty stadium. Come to think of it, it’s unusual to shout/chant abuse at a player and use their first name. Is it possible he was being given instruction from his own coaching staff to get back to his own box/defend? They would use his first name. Just a thought. Is he tweeting someone else’s observations or his own? It all seems bizarre when we had three black players on the pitch.
  15. The club doesn’t usually go on record about rumours. It has the feel of a counter-offer about it, highlighting the value of the player.
  16. the plan https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/213696/dh_133656.pdf Interestingly, this includes- “put plans in place to ensure a response that is proportionate to a range of scenarios reflecting pandemic viruses of low, moderate and high impact, rather than focusing on the “worst case” planning assumptions;” WHO seems to have closed some links so I can’t get to what they previously stated. WHO members have publicly reiterated the warnings of mass poverty and death resulting from the state-enforced closure of industries/economies, particularly the trickle down effect on poorer countries. The WHO also amended their definition of herd immunity from natural immunity from infections and vaccination to now just from vaccination. They seem to ignore thousands of years of evolution. I wonder why. As to the study of collateral damage from lockdowns etc, I think this was a Bristol University paper but I could be wrong. The long term death toll was estimated at over 500,000. Not sure if Neil Ferguson was involved in that, though.
