After seeing both teams in the past 2 weeks, this should be a Morton win. My only concern is that Morton aren’t exactly scoring for fun.

They really don’t. Their squad is absolutely riddled with average players. All the teams in this league have got average players. But Tiffoney, Graham, Milne, Docherty, Holt and Brannigan would all get into our team

Considering Hamilton lost not a bad result for Arbroath

Aye I’d say both teams are a stick on for the play offs which is mental given where they started last season.
I’d expect two of Inverness, Queens Park and Dundee to join us. Partick look in free fall which is absolutely brilliant.Partick have got injuries at the moment, they have too many good players and will definitely finish top 4.

Good to see big aero doing what Aero does

After seeing Arbroath last week, I think they are a decent football side but obviously lack a goal scorer. Inverness have huge injury problems so I would suggest Arbroath have a great chance to take all 3 points. If you don’t I fear for you this season.

Incorrect. What it really says is that for the first time in years people are actually enjoying watching Ayr United.
True but you can enjoy yourself without charging onto the playing surface.

If and I know it’s a big if. If we get promoted he’s not premier league class

After that substitute performance Jayden surely has to start on Saturday against Morton. I like Chalmers but JML deserves a start I think.

Big difference this season is we have a squad and when we bring players on we expect them to deliver and they frequently do. Well played Jaden today

Think you we on the pixalot stream, live it was mostly Arbroath but you got a pen, then an excellent goal for yous
Absolute tosh! Game was pretty even but we took our chances second half. Arbroath created very little in front of goal.

Mathie was superb on View from the Terrace there I thought. Can't be many clubs in the country would have someone in his position go into something like that and come across so well.
Agreed but what a terrible programme

So how long until a bigger team come in for Dougie? Before Christmas I reckon

That was one of the most entertainingly shite games I’ve ever been to. I thought our first goal was an OG as well, but maybe it was some kind of optical illusion. The 2nd OG was just mental - under zero pressure and just bullets the header into the top corner. Lots to like about this Ayr team, but I do think we need to have a think about the formation - I thought Murdoch and Dempsey were excellent, but are being asked to cover too much ground.
I too was sure the first goal was an O.G. But no one else seems to have mentioned this, perhaps it’s just the 2 of us in this parallel universe?

Thistle bossed us in the midfield, especially first half. If they could defend properly they would win this league. We weren’t great and Paddy Reading had a nightmare. Bringing on McGinty worked a treat for once, I thought he was immense but Young Kirk deserved his MOTM.

What makes you say that ? We are only 3 points better off than this time last season and have injuries to key players and it looks like the back up isn’t as good as we thought.
I’ve been fairy impressed with you so far this season and I think your squad is as good as anyone’s in this league. Obviously injuries and suspensions can affect how you’ll do week to week

Despite Saturday’s result I still think Thistle will win the league, unless Dundee invest in January. Therefore, a positive result for us would give me real hope we can secure a top 4 position.

Ayr v Pollok might be a potential TV selection? Especially after tonight.
Hamilton v East Kilbride for me is the tie for the TV, local derby and potential upset.

Jeezo this Pollok team don’t look half bad, glad we have a home tie tbh.

Are Ayr streaming games for overseas viewers still?
Yes I believe so

Your success over the past few seasons has been very much based on a core of quality loans. This hasn’t happened this year and the fight to avoid the drop is on.

I would give JML another game against a weaker defence on Friday night. I really think more game time is what he needs
