Stewards were probably confused at the small crowd and thought it was the car boot sale instead imo
If only your big crowd had managed to beat fucking TNS!

Surely doesn't make a difference though as your car park has a finite number of spaces. Apparently i got the very last parking space so whether it was 6k or 3k attendance wouldnt matter as once your car park is full then its full. Did seem a bit chaotic.

Although we are currently 4th, have two games in hand over some and feel we are a match for anyone in the league, I don’t think we will finish 4th. However, that would be ok with the season we have had. That being said, it would be magic just to be involved in the play offs.

Surely ayr will be clapping the champions into the pitch

Just scraped over half what we got for a league game in league one yesterday. Pitiful crowd.
Sure we will cope. Something about the Falkirk stadium. Just never seem to lose there

Incorrect. Was thrown by the Welsh mob after their first goal.

Quite amusing that we have lifted silverware at the Falkirk stadium this season before the mighty bairns have.

It might be the diddy cup but it feels fucking glorious to win something. Loads of players out injuries or cup tied but felt we were fairly comfortable.
My only sadness is the realisation that, at some point, McCabe will leave airdrie. Genuinely the best it’s been supporting airdrie in my almost 40 years of living.

Not enough space on the pitch for our fans
Probably not far wrong. Looking forward to renewing our rivalry next season (assuming we stay up)

If falkirk win the league next weekend then I hope every single one of their fans runs on the pitch.

At a time when we are moaning about the SFA not selling our football enough, it seems ridiculous that clubs would do something like this. Similar with the old firm. It’s completely tinpot.

Whilst most people dislike us, surely an airdrie win is required for Scottish football

People always say they are not bothered about it all until they see the sum of money written down and then generally become arseholes.

That's the problem though, many artificial pitches are down far far too long.
Queen of the south and Falkirk both had pitches down beyond their expected life span, well beyond in Queens case. Would imagine Raiths would be replaced this close season or next?
I think teams drag the arse out of it and that's the problem, also what do folk do with their old pitches would be good if they were donated to local uses that could use them but I suspect they end up in landfill.
I’m sure old montrose pitch was donated to the local golf club who put it all over their course for paths

It’s either £5 to park at the ground (but pretty chaotic when leaving), or park at the nearby college for free - there’s bags of space there. It’s about a 15 minute walk but there’s a few detours in place because of ridiculous roadworks going on outside.
Don’t break anything please.
Think I’ll do the stadium parking. Would imagine there won’t be near as many cars as a usual home game.

What’s the deal with parking at your ground? Got the cup final on Sunday. Not sure it will be a particularly large crowd. Certainly smaller than a normal home game

The issue with cove is they will always be reliant on the crumbs from aberdeen. This also creates an issue because of their name being cove rangers which instantly puts off quite a few aberdeen fans. They are almost reliant on corporate guests and they do really well out of this with their hospo and summer and Xmas events. It’s hard to say whether this will ever drop as they are generally good days and I wouldn’t think are overly dependant on the quality of the football team.
However, let’s be honest. Aside from Falkirk, all the current league 1 teams have very average supports. Most games get 500-600 which is not enough to sustain a league 1 clue looking for promotion, unless the corporate and sponsorship element is decent.
As I mentioned earlier, I think cove will struggle with a lot of locals due to having rangers in their name.

We're not a physical team, we're a team of largely small players. Yes we play long into Oakley, but we're a team of energetic, press heavy players. So it's annoying when fans and managers of other players call us a team of Hammer throwers. It's always us that get kicked off the park when opposition teams try make it into a physical battle, as seen by the Airdrie thugs trying to maim Oakley and Crawford
Forgot Adam frizzell, Liam mccstravick, Charlie telfer, Rhys McCabe and cammy ballantyne were fucking giants you absolute cabbage

Fair fcks to Airdrie for throwing out their Plan A and going back to 90s style, I could have sworn Jimmy Sandison was playing. The c**t.
We are utterly toothless up front without Kane.
Aye the pitch was absolutely stinking. We actually did still play some good football but its clear McCabe has learned his lesson from last season where he refused to budge from the passing style. Its glorious to watch. I actually thought we were pretty comfortable. Still be happy to finish anything above 8th

What a fucking goal

Pitch is shite. Thought it was a yellow. Good goal. That’s my thoughts.

Could have been different people. Not a clue. I did wonder who would be pocketing the £5 a head parking for the number of cars there
