Falkirk - Dundee connection goes back a long way.

Reg Smith - Bob Shankly - John Prentice - Simon Stainrod - Jim Duffy - Alex Totten - George Merchant - Bert Slater - Bobby Ford - Bobby Robinson - Wilson Hoggan - Jim Shirra - Ally Donaldson - Ian McColl - Vince Mennie (thanks a bundle and cruel taking the piss like that)

Famous and infamous it's a colourful roll call

Probably able to put together a similar list for Dunfermline.

This is spot on. I’ve often wondered why so many fans lay the blame at Harley’s door for our demise. Yes he made a complete mess whilst he was manager but a lot of what happened were decisions made by the people who are meant to have the clubs best interest at heart. I’m not saying the abuse is unwarranted, however, it’s like blaming someone in middle management for the collapse of a company.

Probably because he is such a loathsome wee turd .

Agyeman was excellent. Understandably hard for him to dislodge Morrison but he is a much better option than Ross for me- more direct and more end product.

Got to disagree, Agyeman on his game is borderline unplayable but unfortunately he has a tendency to beat several opponents then trip over the ball or cross the ball out of the park.

Ross may not be as flash but is much more reliable, obviously todays miss excepted!

Steady on. Even in a poor Cove team you can see Fyvie is a very good player. If it wasn’t for injuries he’d still be playing at a higher level

He looked about as mobile as me and I am a 60 year old fat boy with knackered knees.

Then a business plan has to be put in place to provide the facility the marketplace needs.

Office space? No, plenty of empty office space already in the vicinity.

Hospitality? Stadium has hospitality already so the council would veto

As for free from Council money grabbing regarding the stadium. That's been talked to death, the council have the club tied up tight. We are stuck in the current facilities till the lease ends.

So unless there is a Leaseholder / Market identified then no 4th stand or build a stand to hold fans and thats it.

The latter is the cheaper option.

But anyway - whatever it is thats seasons away but the club could agree the design, how much it costs, building approval then if the funds become available there is a shovel ready plan is on the shelf.

    “Council would veto”, “lease”

    Utter gibberish.

Striker wise Jay Bird has lots of attributes McGlynn likes in a striker, wouldn't cost much but looks disinterested at times.

I'd imagine McGlynn could get more out of him. 6 goals and 2 assists for a piss poor Arbroath team. Showing what he can do at 1:35 in the below highlights.

    Need better than him.

I agree with pedro :o in as much as it shouldn't be no.1 priority currently, however, it would be folly not to keep our ear to the ground in the event that something may come up that could be explored. Our immediate priority has been achieved, so we need to look further ahead now to consider ways that we could make the club stronger long term. Just building another stand, terracing or anything else should be a non-starter however unless it's also an income generating facility.

Pretty certain that any new stand would be equipped with hospitality and office space to enable us to generate income 7 days a week free of Council money grabbing.

McGlynns already stated that he’ll be looking at adding further quality for next season to compete in what’s going to be a cracker of a league. Theres a few players across the existing championship I’m sure he’ll already be discreetly enquiring about. Who are we to argue with when he plucked Miller & Ross when both were toiling. I’m sure the scenes on Saturday and the press coverage will maybe go a long way with potential targets. I said earlier that I wouldn’t pick out a player(s) out from Saturday, but watching the highlights for the tenth time, Mackie & Donaldson were just slightly more excellent than the others.

Mackie and Donaldson players the gobshite element in our support described as bombscares.
