  1. Phoned for tickets (working tomorrow) and only after call did I realise that I was not asked what stand or where we prefer to sit! Will be interesting to see what the tickets day when they arrive, daughter is OU student but also has a blue badge as registered disabled. No student prices as all ticket, but disabled price £10 instead of usual £8.

  2. The abuse of the wheelchair user was from one voice - I could not identify the individual from my seat at the very back of the stand and would have looked stupid ( and probably ended up being the one chucked out) had I climbed a barrier to wade in amongst the group of guys. I am all for banter at a game ( the early reference to more seagulls than home fans was banter and mildly amusing) but targeting folks who appear "different " is sadly cheap, nasty and immature.

  3. Aye, the wheelchair comment was neither big nor clever,  likewise asking the man if he was speaking Polish - disability and racial discrimination all in one.

As for the game - a good few positives? Robertson looked class until tired late on, Vaughan and Callachan put in great shifts as did Murray as a makeshift left back.

  4. Friendlies decrease in importance in direct correlation to age in my case. Can remember getting excited about playing Hartlepool in the 70s, then a wee spell when the likes of Swansea and second division Chelsea came to Starks. Otherwise 99% of theses games are torture to watch. The likes of Stranraer v Twente are the rare exception - it would maybe attract interest if we were to try for an Ingolstadt game (local business our council putting a trophy up?) or get Arsenal u23 up to mark the connection historically between the club's.
