Nigel is a straight talker, something completely gone from the political scene since the Blair consensus, and he's a man that's bore the brunt of threats to him and his family, many of them from extremists up here as we saw in the Royal Mile a couple of years back. I include Salmond in that list of shame as he refused to condemn the thugs who descended on him that day. Scotland, always a parochial place, and deeply anti English in many quarters. African emigrants are fleeing their homelands because of the awful poverty under which they're forced to live. These conditions have been brought on by British/European colonialism and the Atlantic Slave Trade which has left Africa heavily underdeveloped and in unpayable debt to the very people who forced these atrocious circumstances upon them in the first place. The least European countries can do is offer a better life to the victims of their own racism and economic exploitation, as opposed to sending them back to a life of abject misery and horrendous penury.

After failing to beat Falkirk at the asbestos dome today we can now see the end of Sevco in sight. The stenographers are feeding the people moonbeams about McCall having a warchest and dossier (lol) to keep them on board, but the reality is insolvency will be assured when they fail to go up. Then we'll see the feeding on the corpse by Big Mike and the three blind mice will get burned. Australia and Canada have points systems but still take in asylum from those at genuine risk of persecution..The problem is these people in the boats are for the most not fleeing IS or brutality, they are West and East African economic illegals. They are also largely Muslim and capable of murder as we saw last week, but fleeing poverty is not grounds for asylum. Britain has the highest per capita foreign aid budget in the world for poverty overseas.

Nigel spot on regards the sea of African migrants in the Med caused by Cameron and Sarkozy. Colonel Gaddafi was a brutal dictator but he'd come to terms with the west and kept the Islamist fanatics in check as well as the migrant boats. Cameron lied to the UN about humanitarian air strikes that quickly became a regime removal operation, as warned by Putin. Now we have chaos and IS filling the Mediterranean sea with migrants. I also agree with NIgel that the eu should house more Christians who are at risk of slaughter from Muslims. All Syrian and Iraq Christians should be offered eu asylum.

Just think about that and let the cogs turn in your head for a second: they have to pay for higher education fees, prescriptions, their NHS is a far worse state, housing in many areas unobtainable. This is what Sturgeon is going to lead us to. We are getting a good deal from England ffs, better than their people get and they bear the brunt of the migration.

Your evidence for Coburn hating Scotland is UKIP's policy to ditch the Barnett formula and treat Scotland on par with Wales? I.E fairly. Most of what Coburn says is what most Scots agree with but are afraid or conditioned to vote against - cutting migration and eu vote especially.

This whole policy is predicated on needing immigrants to only carry out skilled jobs. How many pakistani, bangladeshi and other former colonial citizens have come to this country and worked their butts off in unskilled positions only to use the money earned to start a business. How will any points system accommodate these people?
You need to get a basic grip of the problems. Immigrants are not the problem as proven by the various analysis of their contribution to the country. If we want to stop people from travelling here to access the health or benefit systems then tackle this access rather than try to limit who can actually get into the country.
Non EEA have cost us £120bn since 1997, 10% of the national debt, so don't kid us that Pakistani and Bangladeshis have made a huge contribution, just is not true. The social problems in England are immense with this community, which is a large part of the bill. This is aside from the Rotherhams and Rochdales.
