  1. It's a bit like when Liverpool fans wheel out the "look at our history" to opposition fans in an effort to mask their growingly hilarious league positions behind Southampton & West Ham, and years of doing f*ck all. Or, St Mirren fans will bite at anything VT throws at them because they're still sobbing they can't mane any more "forever in our shadow" MS Paint 2006 jobs. If superiority over Greenock Morton is/was a barometer of success, you're as well just liquidating now tbh.
  2. I'd have said the same regarding Morton a year or so ago. He's come on leaps and bounds this season though. Good wee player.
  3. It's hard to say. At times he strolls through games in this league, other times he struggles. Shankland of St Mirren had him on toast on Saturday for example. I've no doubt the guy's got a bright future ahead of him so long as he keeps developing, but wether he's ready for Premiership football week-in, week-out I'm not so sure. I thought O'Dea was doing alright for you as well?
  4. General consensus from Morton supporters is you'll beat us tomorrow, due to us having half a squad and that half of the squad being not very good at all. Is there much optimism in the Dumbarton camp?
  5. It's difficult in that we played some horrific football last season. Yes, it was an entirely new squad, but even towards the latter stages of the season the squad looked lost and without any tactical knowhow,, thankfully, the sheer and utter hopelessness of our opposition helped us through. The squad may know each other better, and we may have a few new faces, but if Duffy continues to do whatever it was he did last season, I worry, a lot, about our chances.
  6. Well no. It's a functioning stand used by a lot of the support, all be it not aesthetically pleasing and not exactly the most spacious, it's in working order and all the hospitality/commercial facilities are underneath it. If away fans don't enjoy it, good.
  7. No point in only further adding to the debt to appease away fans.
  8. Perhaps your constant failures at Cappielow have somewhat tainted you.
  9. You choose, was about to say you'd be outnumbered but it'd only be a matter of minutes before the Morton fans started turning on each other.
  10. No, I'd assume they'd want something a bit more up to date.
  11. There's a big Tesco carpark up the road from Cappielow, reckon we should all just meet there.
  12. But, essentially, if you had more fans, you'd get it. I don't blame Morton for not rolling out the red carpet for the 15 travelling Dumbarton fans.
  13. Glad to see everyone's looking foward to visiting Greenock. You lads want behind the goal? Bring some fans, can't see a better incentive than avoiding being crammed in that embarrassment of a stand.
  14. No, the club already have the story drafted for when he breaks his leg the friday before the first game, is released, and signs for St Mirren in January, giving him two full games to score as many times as he likes against us.
