Fair play this could have been a total shithouse of a fight but turned into a decent scrap. Will probably be better than the main event.

It's a pity Bruno alves is no longer available.....Totally agree with strengthening the defence and has been a problem for a few seasons now. Marvin Compper? was bought to bolster the defence ffs, hasn't done f**k aw yet of note but was a name I had heard of and I thought the weakest area of the squad was being addressed. He may at some point become fit and will probably feel like a new signing and on a personal level I think he is a better defender than Celtic is currently fielding. I'd be happy with buying another CB but he really needs to be a step up in quality than the players we have. Not saying our defence is totally shite but there is a need for that step up in quality for playing in Europe. Surely the club can fork out for a seasoned CB to bolster the defence and secondly to help the young defence improve by his experience from playing in the top level.
I'm happy with Brendan's scouting methods in acquiring young strikers and then developing them, has definitely benefited the club.
Yes the midfield is flooded ffs! [emoji38] An embarrassment of riches domestically but does the squad have the quality to compete in any meaningful level in Europe? I'd have to question that by recent seasons pumpings in Europe and the lack of scoring in the group stages because the midfield gets over run by the oppositions midfield they turn into shite defenders because they can't find a fucking pass to the forwards, and even worse they can't even get out of their own half at times.
I'm sure and I hope the club bring in a seasoned CB who has at least played at the highest level at some point in their career.0 -

A handful for deportivo at most. Doesn't mean from what I've seen he's a better defender than what we currently have imo. He was very good for basle and always looks good for Switzerland as well. Hopefully get him signed up and see more of him this year.How many games did you watch him play in last season?

Would disagree with that. Fabian schar is a very good defender. Better than what we currently have anyway.i don't think we can buy anyone that will improve us, but would sign McGinn to rotate with (and eventually replace) Brown - assuming Ajer stays in defence

Majority of people rated eubank as better than Smith and that's miles off imo. I think he's world level lots of people disagree although he's unbeaten and in the final of the wbss. Therefore he's under rated no ?There’s absolutely no chance you can make an argument that Callum Smith is underrated. He’s been touted as a future world champion for at least the last five years, has been promoted to the moon by Eddie Hearn, and yet he’s still not fought any opponent of real genuine quality.
I don’t know how good Callum Smith really is yet, but I know he’s certainly not underrated.

This fight will show what level Smith can reach tbh. I reckon he's the real deal but wether he's going to be a gatekeep for world level fighters or a genuine world champion remains to be seen.TBF that wouldn't be difficult...0 -
Think groves wins maybe by a split decision. I think Smith is very under rated and will provide groves with a much tougher match than eubank did.WBSS Super middleweight final will take place later in the summer, allowing Groves enough time to overcome his shoulder injury.
Would have made a farce of the tournament, had Groves been replaced by Eubank or anyone else.
I think Groves will win this comfortably.

I really like AJ and he basically didn't get out of 2nd gear yesterday but like it or not the guy has some serious flaws and isn't close to being wold class in my opinion. A prime Haye, for example, would have Joshua out within 6.
A prime haye sat on the end of klitschkos jab all night long pretty much what Parker done last night. Haye was a top class boxer but don't agree he would have Joshua out in 6. Never know now though.0 -

Vk retired in 2013. Wk is who I presume you are speaking about. Klitschko turned up in great shape to fight Joshua and looked the best I had seen him in many of years. Joshua still has a long way to go but he's getting there and imo beats wilder hands down. Furys a different kettle of fish though. Dunno who would win that one but looking forward to finding out hopefully in the not so distant future.

Our 8 year old grand daughter is tickled pink with her new sister - but then, she hasn't done it before! Her elder sister, 15, is very good with the new one.
I was house sitting yesterday, and had the new arrival all to myself for a whole half an hour. She's a very content wee thing, with lovely blue eyes, she's going to take after her mother and one of her aunts by the looks of things and have ginger hair.
The Scottish gene is strong with the wee one then. The 2 I have couldn't be any different to each other so pretty excited to see how the wee one turns out. 9 weeks on Tuesday till due date. Same as green lantern moving to a bigger house and decorating everything keeps me on my toes.0 -
3rd girl due in May. Thought our 3 year old would have had issues with not being the baby anymore but she couldn't be any happier. Thought the 8 year old would have been buzzing but she's not fussed said she's done it before so not as excited as the first time . Kids never cease to amaze you.
