Iirc we signed whatley as a goalscoring midfielder? Never seen him play in an attacking role for the club! He's a solid all round player but if we're not gonna bring in a rb better than wilson i'd rather see him there and get a ball winning midfielder in the centre

Never said Wilson was a better player, said Whatley was to good a centre mid, to be wasted by playing him at right-back, now I stand by the segregation barrier most home games, feel free to come round and introduce yourself, but my gut feeling is you won't

I'd prefer to see Whatley at RB over Wilson, Wilson more effective going forward,
I don't no why everyone is saying we need a Kevin Nicholl player to play beside McCord, don't we have gold for that position???

You are moaning about Dick,the very fact you are saying Gold shouldn't be getting a new deal is basically saying you don't trust Campbell's managerial judgement,how about saying Dick might get the best out of him with the right coaching, motavation.
What Dick will find out is that Gold has great skill in finding space where he is not getting too involved in the action

He did play Lowdon left wing at QP away, and he was pretty bad so was hooked at HT. He hasn't played Whatley RB (apart from the second half yesterday) because i'd imagine he wanted a look at Wilson and Williams there.

There's only a few. Comparing the 2 records between him and Lumsden this season is just totally ridiculous.
Also the fact that he was successful at Forfar seems to have gave a few people a dislike to him from the off. Some of the comments are pretty funny reading and also quite naive.
If you were to speak to DC yourself you'd love him, he has a record, players do love him and he is in charge of our club.
I'm extremely happy with it to be honest and if he wants to re sign David Gold he can do it he can sign the whole Gold family for all I care.

I've spent most of this season backing our ex manager while people like yourself berated him week in week out and moaned about the players, the manager, the board and almost everything and everyone connected to the club for months on end.
Anyone who doesn't back Dick to build his own squad and give him basically the rest of this calendar year to show what he can do is obviously being a bit silly. However, I've not seen anyone who isn't prepared to do this? I've seen a few people say in their opinion we have regressed under Dick with the squad we have, which was the same squad Todd had, and the facts back that up. It is indisputable that results have been worse under Dick than they were under Todd, and Dick has been working with the same players. Obviously they're not Dick's players so it would be unfair to fully judge him on these results, but 7 points in 10 games is a far worse record than Todd was being berated week in week out for.
Pointed out the above isn't necessarily moaning. It is simply pointing out indisputable facts.
"and Dick has been working with the same players." and playing them in the same positions,why not Whatley at right back?,why not Lowden left wing?,why not Reid behind the strikers?
He didn't use his managerial skills to the full,it was as if "lets get this over and done with and move on"

Little, Hester and Gold signed up for next season. Good to see Little and Hester signed up but I'm utterly bemused at Gold being offered a new deal. Lowdon away off to Clyde which is a bit disappointing.

Very few people are giving Lumsden any credit.
The fans over the course of this season have been very good overall towards both management teams and the players. It has been a fucking terrible season. Almost all of the players have under performed, and Todd and Hissy brought in a poor team and managed them poorly. I don't think anyone would disagree with any of that. Almost every fan to a man thought Todd was the wrong appointment.
However, what use is it prattling on and on about how shite Todd is, this player is, that player is etc? How do the players/ management feel reading/ hearing negative shite week after week? Is that helpful in any way? While Todd was in charge I always supported him, as he was the manager of the football team I support. As soon as he left the club, I breathed a huge sigh of relief and have given my full opinion on him, as I didn't need to support him anymore. I am very much looking forward to tomorrow at 5PM, when this embarrassing season will finally be over and a number of players who've been very 'difficult' to support over the past 9 months will leave the club. Nonetheless, I've support them for those 9 months, because they're our players and we are meant to be supporters....
If you don't understand the point myself and several others have made then you're either a troll, purposely ignoring the obvious or struggling for intelligence in all honesty.
As I've said before, my stance is that DICK MUST GO. Why? Because when he does leave the club, whether that be in 4 months or 4 years, I can then go on and on like a broken record about how I was right and everyone else was wrong to support him.

Have you been watching us this season? Lowdon has been one of our best players whilst playing at left back. It's clearly his natural position.

Cambell on the other hand has come in and made a statement in the Herald blaming the players but he didn't do his homework either, he made very little changes, eg playing Whatley at right back,(I think his natural position),Lowden on the left wing (he's no very good at left back),Reid in behind the strikers (did very well there when on loan at Elgin).Cambell just played the same setup that didn't work for Lumsden so how would it be any different with him in charge

I don't know anybody that wanted Lumsden appointed as manager but to get on his back at the very beginning of the season was ridiculous and nothing to be proud of. Most of the fans wanted to support the management and the team and give them a chance. Would have loved it if it had worked out. I think most fans thought deep down it wasn't going to work but the club made a decision and we had to support that.
If more people had "got on his back" at the start Arbroath wouldn't be where they are now,it was obvious to anyone who can spot bad management that the guy could talk the talk only

After the Shire 3-0 game the seasons virtually been meaningless. Only 14 boys available the last 2 weeks. So many players will know they're going at end of season.

Nope, it hasn't changed under DC, but it was near the end of the season when he took over,nothing much to play for, players pissed off and looking to get out of a losing team with no prospects, half full of loan players and a downer dressing room

He'll sign skilful players where skilful players are required and he'll sign 'big fit bruisers' to play where they're required, like any other competent manager.
He has a rolling contract as far as I know, so basically an ongoing yearly thing I think.

In today's Sun footy pullout. DC says "There will be a lot of changes here". I've already got four or five lined up and the team will look very different" . Anyone who knows me will know I won't accept mediocrity in any team".

Its going to be interesting as to who DC even wants to keep from the current squad.
Obviously Linn and Whatley are signed for next season. But the rest of the squad looks doomed. Even the likes of Little may be let go.
I dont think DC will sign many skilled players (dont need them in this league)just big ,fit bruisers.

Hester now 2nd top goal scorer? He's only got 4 but he's done incredibly well for his first season up from the juniors.
Add to the fact that he hasn't had too many full games, you could count in minutes on the park

It was only Speckyboy in fairness, the 6th game was the EF one and there was the 'Specky is a w****r and we are going up' in Methil.
Tbf though Todds first 5 league games were 4 losses and a draw. Campbells got 2 wins and 3 defeats, but I think there's a slight bit of sarcasm with your post... I think.
I'm really looking forward to May to see what Dick does.
Eh wis right tho' wasn't eh, and em right about the defence, clean out the whole lot and move Lowdon , he is not a defender he is more a left midfield player, Little is too little for his position,Whatley not effective where he plays (spends too much time trying to tell other player who to mark and not marking players himself) move him to RB maybe.For the rest of the games give Linn a wee rest,he looks like his engine wont go the full 90 minutes (he is over 30 and new baby maybe keeping him up at nights).Gold needs to go ,he cant hide in the center of the park all the time,put Serv in his place.Hester on from the start.
