  1. He must have a look a like that wears a cowden tracksuit and sits in the stands then
  2. Seen Harry osborne in the stands last 2 games aswell that down to injury or performances.
  3. 3-1 defeat and i’ve not come home with any doubt or disappointment. The boys dug deep with the majority of the game a man down. A very well drilled full time side who moved the ball well but we pressed and sat tight in the right areas. What a save from their keeper early on and goal line clearance very unlucky to not have went 1-0 up. Red card was a red for me no complaints just wish we brought the attacker down just as he entered our half. Proud of the boys great fight and some good signs of improvement. Wont get any easier on Tuesday but full of hope. Also berwick lol
  4. Here we go then. First game in the lowland league for us today. Mixed feelings from myself expect celtic to be well organised plenty of energy and move the ball well on the deck. Pre season not the best in my eyes lack of goals/chances silly defending but I can see improvements from the first friendly to our last league cup game. Good numbers going through from the supporters club on the bus today the team will have our backing and support aslong as 100% effort is giving. Safe travels to those heading through mon the cowden
  5. Evening gents. The junction bar supporters club have a few old retro tops donated to us and will be auctioning off soon. Looking for the season that this away top was from if anyone can help thanks in advance.
  6. Anyone know if the social media has made a typo with having someone called Jarron on the bench or am I just being a dafty can’t seem to remember us signing a Jarron.
  7. Junction bar supporters club are running a bus to airdrie leaving the pub at 1pm and returns straight after full time. Please message our facebook page if interested.
  8. Think you know the answer to that already. His wallets glued shut
  9. Was more impressed with the new shorts I seen yesterday with having the supporters club logo on it
  10. Nicky low had the cigar out last night once again a well experienced player running the game.
  11. Made the journey up this evening always going to be tough. No midfield again for me i’ve seen enough of Harry osborne already doesn’t do the job a no.6 should. Few nice touches from sinclair up top again but no support wingbacks were very deep but understandable as constant pressure, impressed with armstrong and the keeper.
  12. the junction bar cowdenbeath supporters club has it’s first fundraiser. Good interest already the post is up on our facebook page.
  13. Liked what I seen from scott sinclair yesterday even though he was limited due to lack of the ball. He put himself about challenged for every ball and had a few nice touches. Keeper had some phenomenal saves was impressed. All goals conceded easily avoidable striker in the box with no one within 5 yards of him. 2nd one newman just has to hook it away but as he’s left footed hes tried to take it down and shift it on his left foot to clear. 3 games i’ve seen now and we need another two david struthers in midfield his work rate and engine is impressive. Berry needs to put himself about more and as for Harry I don’t need to say much as its been said already. Was also interesting how we’ve went from a back 4 to a back 5 now was this just because maurice knew airdrie would have all the ball or it this what he’s wanting going into the season. I much preferred the 5-3-2 as gilmartin has support up top unlike last few friendlies.
  14. Tough game not expecting much apart from 100% effort from the lads. Hope to see scott sinclair involved. I also believe airdrie only have 14 signed players as of this morning
  15. Sinclair is in Greece back for this weekend. But last night was a poor showing started off well pressed well was impressed with the 2 st mirren loanees. Second half the energy levels dropped massively we were under massive pressure and just shelling it to lochores back line to start another attack. Yesterdays starting 11 probably wont be far off our starting 11. Both outfield trialists nothing spectacular not worth signing. Keeper few hesitant moments. Disappointed in giving away another penalty just clumsy quite a few times our defenders just had to get goal side and out strength their attackers but didn’t happen. League cup games like maurice said just pre season and all about trying to gel but we can’t go into the season making the mistakes I’ve witnessed in the last 2 friendlies. Mon the coo
  16. I’ve only attended the east fife game and I felt for all the trialists as they all came on and then had to play with a man less and the tempo had completely change i’d like for them to start tomorrow.
  17. Hoping tomorrow is used for as many trialists as possible seeing as they’ll have to be signed up for the weekends cup game
  18. Rugby park one place i’m yet to see cowden play at so may have to make the midweek journey
  19. Thank you, the supporters club have started from fresh this season with a new look and have worked during the off season to secure this deal. As i’ve said its only the start we’ve be doing different fund raising and have some retro shirts to be auctioned off the club will receive the majority of funds raised and we hope to sponsor the shorts for many seasons to come.
  20. Absolutely delighted to announce the junction bar cowdenbeath supporters club are this years match day shorts sponsor. We have always sponsored a player every year but felt as if it was time to step up and we will continue to do our part this year. plenty more to come keep an eye on our page.
  21. 7:30pm junction bar will be revealing our news it may not seem a great deal to some but for a supporters club we are very proud of it.
  22. Oh just whenever I will tell the pub owner so if it could be handed in to whoevers on shift behind the bar would be appreciated thank you very much!!
  23. Some exciting news for the junction bar supporters club being announced tomorrow. The club will be doing all we can to support and raise funds for the club.
  24. Experienced keeper and no.6 be ideal, yes hard to find the right one who’ll want to play at lowland and affordable I am aware but must be some out there. I like maurices formation of the flat back 4 with a 6 holding just infront but harry osborne is not the 6 for us simple as that.
  25. Just in the door from the match today well what can I say I am aware its a young team we have and to try and stay positive but a few individual performances were dreadful today I am a paying supporter so am entitled to my piece. No.6 Harry who we just announced yesterday was miles off the pace 3/4 seconds late to every tackle didn’t look interested in the slightest boys just skipping past him and no real hunger to chase them. Both centre backs with too many mistakes/stray passes than the acceptable amount lack of winning the first ball for 2 tall strong powerful centre backs. The lack of experience in the team really shows very quiet on the pitch during spells. We 100% need experienced heads simple as that 36 year old alan trouten was excellent for them today didn’t put a foot wrong done his job. On to the positives both full backs were excellent really impressed with young ewan thomson real fight and desire and good on the ball. David struthers looks a player in the middle of the park covered every area pressed them for the time he was on. But we did lose the game in the middle of the park today lucas berry never in it and less said about Harry osborne was poor against swifts and beyond poor today. Subs looked okay no one stood out mario up top certainly did not. Hope the players we were missing today would have changed the game cause that was a tough tough watch.
