It is with regret that Andy Frame has decided to step down as our manager.
Following discussions with Andy we firmly believe there is little chance of the season being completed and it is effectively over. We agreed that this would be an ideal time to bring in a fresh face as the Club enters an exciting new era. Andy has enjoyed a successful 3 years and leaves the club in very good shape. We wish him all the best for the future and look forward to seeing him at Guys Meadow in the near future cheering on the 'Nauld.

i no rab stewart realy well Beverley hills his grandson is my son's class at school , before my time him playing though .
Jamie Glasgow was another great player for u who came to kilsyth for a few seasons and led the line on his own on many occasionsJamie was another who deserves a mention, great pace and goal scorer, this son seems to be doing ok at Talbot but not a patch on his old man.

i remember jim deakin playing for cumbernauld, tremendous player
i'd give an honourable mention to jim mcgarrigle too, great servant .
Danny smith , ian dougan and macavoy ? good players too.
Agree and good friend of mine and still pops down to the odd game, same with Jim and Macca.
Danny was a top player and guy and great captain taken from this world far too early, it might be before your time but Rab Stewart was top notch, lives in Kilsyth and more often than not you will find him at Kilsyth Golf club.

Must be loads of Old Firm players came through the juniors ...Bobby Russell was signed by Rangers direct from Shettleston for £200 in 1977.

Agree a great result for Neilston, but in my opinion not unexpected, watched Lochee a couple times this season and with what was on show not surprised Neilston progressed to the last 16.Well done indeed.
Thought the Petershill result just edged it.

Away at Largs at the weekend there & next home league game is the 16th November . . Got a share of the gate away to Cumbernauld in the west & Gartcairn in the Scottish to keep us going though .
The Cumbernauld game is now on the Sunday 10th November so hopefully a few extra punters through the gate.

We decided to produce a 32 page Full Colour A5 Glossy this season, we are in a fortunate position that we have a team in place who are involved in marketing, print and paper on a day to day basis, so putting this all together to produce a quality(in our opinion)production would be easier for us than most clubs. We have sold out on each game to date and have printed 70/70/70/100 copies on our four home games, we can sell at £1 which more than covers the printing cost. The feedback has been excellent and its all down to the content which include 8 pages of ads and this is where we make our money. This year we have moved our social media through twitter, Facebook and our website to another level but like most clubs we have an ageing support with not many social media literate, hence the reason to produce a programme, if any clubs are interested in producing a programme contact george.watson@paper.co.uk who would be happy to have a chat on best ways of maximising income and increasing the profile of you're club.

Who will get preference in the 2 ties to be played at Guys Meadow in round 2?
Possibly solutions:
Play ties on different days (sat/ sun)
Play ties on different dates (on round 1 and 2 dates)
Toss a coin and play at away teams ground / neutral venue (ie New Tinto)
Makes sense to play 1 tie on the 14th and the other on the 28th therefore the home team drawn doesn’t lose out.
Cumbernauld get preference so we will play at home on the 2nd round date on the 28th September.Normally KRR would then play the following week, and re arrange their scheduled league fixture.

Was once told by the then current Cumbernauld manager that it was easier for him to sign players after they saw the club’s jacuzzi!?!?
No Jacuzzi at the 'Nauld' but we do have a sauna.

Well here's hoping this is indeed our year. Last year was certainly disappointing but its history now, we move on, we have had a very busy close season. So what been happening?
On the playing front 4 players have departed,3 weren't offered new deals and young Connor Scullion has signed for Dumbarton FC,Connor was outstanding for us last season and is a great talent,we wish him all the success at his new club.
We have retained or resigned 11 from last years squad, and we have added four new signings to date.
We expect to announce 3-4 additional signings next week so we should be in a position to announce our squad in full shortly.
We have an open meeting in Hat-trix on Saturday week where we will update our supporters on our plans for the forthcoming season.
Guys Meadow is looking superb as we continue to improve the facilities year on year and we have ambitious plans for the stadium over the next few years.
So that's where we are just now,all very excited about the season ahead.

If as it looks the final is contested by two Ayrshire teams then it appears that New Douglas Park is the Venue with a 6000 capacity. Was any thought given to host the Final at the 'Scotstoun Stadium' home of Glasgow Warriors?
If as it now looks the final will be played on an artificial surface this would have been an ideal venue, great facilities ,good location (same distance from Auchinleck to Hamilton 38miles)and a capacity of 7300.
Why not, after all there is a major Rugby final being played in the East End of Glasgow in June.
