I’ll re-iterate what I said earlier that I don’t regard Celtic fans as racist. However, they seem to have short memories about the events of the tonev incident. If you watch the footage back Logan and tonev exchange Verbals. Logan does not lash out, he doesn’t portray any antics. He goes straight to the red, his captain, his manager to report what has been said. In the subsequent weeks Logan and Aberdeen said absolutely nothing about the whole case as it would be inappropriate. Celtic very publicly backed a player who was on loan during that period. I’m not suggesting Logan’s behaviour is exemplary, far from it. He could do without some of the antics he displayed at the end of last season. However, a Celtic fan that doesn’t understand why he has an issue with Celtic as a club is burying their head in the sand. I don’t mean that as a remark to tar all Celtic fans with any brush but he stayed quiet whilst Celtic essentially called him a liar in a situation where he basically did everything right. The Celtic fans abuse of him started before he started giving it back. He’s not a saint but have some perspective please.

It’s so true and is not limited to holidays. As soon as the sun comes out here you see the cringiest behaviour. It really fucks me off when parents sit getting blootered whilst paying no attention to their kids pissing off everyone else in the establishment. We’d need some cover for joe Lewis first as he’s the only real sub keeper. I’d like to see him get some game time in the premiership though. He played a few games in January and was solid without being spectacular, couple of hairy moments but difficult to make any definitive judgement on him.

It would be silly to suggest Celtic have an inherently racist support or even to suggest its more than one or two idiots letting the side down. It is however very poor from Rodgers to respond to shays claim of racist abuse by saying he brings it on himself (I appreciate he means abuse in general, not racist abuse). As I said in the Aberdeen thread he’d have been best served simply saying nothing on the matter.

Let’s say for arguments sake you’re right and there is a case to answer. Why though are rangers doing this in such a public manner releasing statements demanding resignations etc. If it was really about just seeking clarity of the guys independence it’s a matter that could be dealt with privately.

Poor from rodgers. The fans can go back and forth about whether it’s racism or whether it’s because they just think Logan’s a fanny. However there is no denying the origin of this is the tonev incident. It is simply a fact and Rodgers would be best served to just not comment at all.
