  1. I'm really annoyed at myself.

I've gone and knocked over the entire amount of milk I've just expressed. There wasn't loads, but that's not the point. When you've made that effort and just wipe it all out, wasting the lot instantly... :bairn

i think their should be some sort of baby thread or something. there's been too much talk of mucus plugs and lactation for my liking recently.

    :green:barf

  2. Dead Man's Shoes (2004)

    8/10

Paddy Considine wrote and starred in a terrific wee film set in Matlock, about a brother taking revenge for his retarded brother's torture and suicide at the hands of a gang of drug users/sellers a few years earlier whilst he was in the armed forces.

Made by FilmFour, so it should be on there at some point (I watched it on DVD so no adverts :P )

i watched this the other week and thought it was very good.

some of my mates even claim to like it more than trainspotting.

  3. i've made a promise to myself that i will read some more classic novels. it really helps when you study journlism.

just finished the catcher in the rye by j.d salinger which was surprisingly good. i felt that it was a little short and at some points i found it hard to relate to the character of holden caulfield. it's a shame that salinger never allowed this to be made into a film as it has the potential to be a huge hit.

just started on trainspotting which at first i found a little awkward as it is written in the sighthill ned dialect. after a couple of chapters i'm starting to get used to it and finding it hard to put the book down.

  4. woke up with that feeling of shame again.

went to a wee house party with a few folk, fell asleep, spewed all down myself AGAIN!, have woke up minus a phone.

this is the second house party i have been sick all over myself when i've fell asleep, it happened the night of the scotland-italy game aswell. the feeling of shame is horrible and i'm seriously hoping someone has my phone.

  5. Nah mate, I get to as many as I can but being a student its kinda hard to feed the habit lol.

I agree entirely btw, the atmosphere is dire these days, it was better under Advocaat and McLeish during the times when we were getting pumped regularly by all and sundry and scraping second (or third ) place.

I've evne been to a few Sons games this season, its cheaper!

i find dumbarton games much more fun (obviously due to the fact that i actually support them)

i think anyone would have a better time at shs. the quality of football is pretty dire but the banter is far better and the players can actually hear you giving them abuse.

you need to get yourself to an away game. best days out are generally arbroath, elgin, montrose and forfar. all of them are decent days out but those are the best due to them being further away and everyone being more drunk.

  6. im going to ibrox today :(

my dad gets free tickets from his work and for some reason really wanted to go. i felt bad saying no because he said he wasn't going to go if i didn't come along.

not only do i not support rangers, i dislike a good chunk of the fans, gretna are shit, rangers are boring, it's cold, my bed is warm. i'm seriously regretting my guilt getting the better of me.

  7. The guy on the XFM rock show was talking these up, the song he played sounded OK.

yea they seem to be doing quite well the now. not seen sam or ross in a while but last time i spoke to them they were pretty excited about what they had coming up.

pretty sure they are in this weeks or last weeks kerrang aswell.

  8. Smashing Pumpkins were pretty decent tonight, but nowhere near worth the £30 they were charging!

Oh, and f**k the SECC for charging handling fees for tickets bought with cash at the box office on the day of the show!

my mates band were supporting, did you catch them?

  9. My mum's been diagnosed with breast cancer. It's just not fuckin fair at all, she lost my gran and my auntie in the space of 2 years and now this? :(

one of my good friends found out the same news last week whilst we were all hanging out and he was absolutely gutted.

like i told him it's a really shit thing but with all the advances in medicne these days your mum has a better chance than ever.

  10. For the neautral, it was quite amusing as some Dumbarton fans seem to think Chapman is the messiah, and that 2 signings will turn you into a decent team when 80% of your first team players are dire at best.

the sensible dumbarton fans realise that it wont happen overnight.

unfortunately the minority make the majority look like idiots. things are looking up with some of the new signings but it will almost certainly take a couple of seasons before we have promotion potential.

guys like that kiki and his chums are clogging up the third division board with absolute crap.
