    Take it they'll need a third kit too? Who are their sponsors btw. Very Brexity.

    An Australian forex broker. Not sure what their logo is about, or why there's a rather obvious H in it.

    It should be compulsory for every striped and hooped shirt to have the back displayed when launched. Final judgement can't be made until the whole shirt is seen. Too many ruined by the solid back.

    The way they've done it on the home shirt is the best one can hope for in the Premier League, who seem to be even stricter on striped backs than the EFL;

    Was more thinking using an iron or something to steam the letters off myself after I've bought it...

    Smart man, heat absolutely murders the adhesive used for printing. Placing waxed paper over Cars Jeans and ironing it should work without damaging the shirt or the iron. There's a few tutorials online, so do consult those before trying. It's a 60 quid shirt after all!

    Leganes, meanwhile, unveil an unfortunate home top complemented with lime green and purple alternatives;

    PSV unveil new signing Bruma and their new home top; the sponsor is much better than recent years (should always be Philips nonetheless) but I do prefer the 18/19 design - solid red sleeves fit better I feel.

    I had a google search of Laakwartier's ground and it looks like a glorified sports complex. Is it worth visiting?

    Even the word glorified is doing it a wee bit too much justice (I played a tournament there as a youth once), the atmosphere and football should be great but the ground itself not so much. Ever been to K-Park in East Kilbride? Bit like that.

    Den Haag is a lovely city though, so you could do much worse.

    Wtf is the point in having Cars Jeans written twice, ruining what would otherwise be a decent shirt?

    The answer is as simple as it is silly. Below you will find typical Dutch football stickers, a red hot craze/fad that pops up once a year when the biggest supermarket in the country does giveaways (four stickers with every 10 quid spent on groceries, and no, booze and tobacco don't count towards that);

    image.thumb.png.b01fb87a3fb36f8c0755b32df74a7ce2.png

    Sponsors realized that, despite paying good coin to land themselves on a shirt, they never really showed up on these collectibles. The solution? Pay a wee bit more for the club to include your logo a second time, this time high up enough to show up on headshots of players. ADO and VVV Venlo are especially liberal with doing this (and it doesn't help that ADO will carry the players' names under the crest this coming season).

    Go Ahead Eagles, who remain in the second tier, have revealed their new home shirts for the 31st season of the club being partnered with hummel. The home shirt has seen a mixed reception but fans quite like the new away kit, which is said to be inspired by Eagles' stadium (their ground turns a hundred years old this season, so why not cash in on this rather meaningless anniversary?). Photos of details hidden in spoilers for ease of browsing - at home players will have the cityscape of Deventer on their arse;

    Quite like that one. I live in The Hague so hoping ADO's new strip might be same template if they are still with Errea (was pretty dire last season).

    The contract was supposed to run until 2018, but was extended prior to last season until 2024, so you might be in luck. ADO has only ever once gotten a template from Erreà (shared with Cheltenham of all teams), so wouldn't expect this Lincoln one ot be used.

  7. I've no strong opinion about Saint Johnstone either way, just think the kit is naff. Would've had the same reaction if it was Celtic or Queen of the South or Albion Rovers or whomever that did it. Think we've dragged the issue (if you can even classify it as such) out for long enough now.

    Crewe Alex, home and away. The purple/pink goalie kit hidden in the spoiler seems to be liked more by at least some of the fans than the gold away strip;

    Since we're on the topic of getting old leftovers anyway......

    https://club25football.wordpress.com/2018/02/06/mk-dons-2017-2018-home-shirt/

    Same top down to the collar, Norwich and Blackpool had the same design in 16/17 and 18/19 with different collars.

    Not sure how pointing out how poor it is to get someone else's leftovers for your new shirts is being bothered - I'm sure better patter can be brought against someone as neurotic about shirts as me.

    Anyhow, much like Carlisle, QPR are also going for a Colgate fresh away shirt;

    Thanks for that. I knew about the Telstar open day and match. I went to the same fixture last year so will head to Den Haag for their game.

    I'm presuming it's at the Kyocera stadium. Are the opposition a local amateur team?

    No, it's at HVV's ground, kick-off at 5 PM. Tickets at the gate, cash and card accepted. The address is;

    Jan van Beersstraat 69

    2523 JS

    Den Haag

    The ground is called Terrein Laakkwartier, rather cozy. It's not too far from ADO's freshly renamed Cars Jeans Stadion so your travel time won't be impacted.

    HVV is an amateur side from Den Haag and traditionally ADO's first opposition in pre-season. There is zero animosity between fans because anyone from the Laakkwartier neighbourhood is an ADO fan anyway. Home team will get a spanking but it probably won't be by double digits.

    ADO players to look out for are cult hero defender Tommie Beugelsdijk, local boy Lex Immers, and Erik Falkenburg, journeyman extraordinaire and holder of the Dutch record, having played in the Eredivisie for 7 different clubs.

    That’s fine that you’re not fussed but lets not make pitiful excuses here. We’ve gone with the old option because we’re fucking cheapskates. Anything to save a bit of dosh. The club don’t care about releasing fashionable kits, you only need to look at the past 10 seasons to know that. Every other top flight club with Macron has a bespoke effort except us. Even Edinburgh fucking City have a new Macron effort. We on the other hand have gone with a template that is over 2 years old and was used by an English diddy non league side.

    The ONLY good thing about the top is that the home kit is better than what we’ve had for years but other than that the circumstance surrounding this choice of kit are completely embarrassing.

    I hate to be sticking the knife in, but you haven't seen diddy until you've seen Swindon Supermarine in 2017/2018, playing the mighty Bideford in the Southern Football League Division West (Step 8 of English fitba). Them and Eastleigh are hardly the only teams to have used the Tabit design in blue, but were the first two to come to mind. Just from memory, Wrexham and Scarborough AFC wore it in red, Hereford FC in yellow, and Hednesford Town in grey/lime.

    Yes, the BLK tops were shockers, and I'm sure most fans won't care (I'm hardly 'in a state' myself beyond pointing the template), but slapping the crest on ye olde teamwear and calling it a day seems a bit disrespectful towards the club's standing. Replica shirts represent a growing market and a handy source of income (not to mention being the most visible part of a football club's identity), so it's a shame that whoever is in charge of the merch/kit at Saints isn't sitting up and paying attention.

    Yes.

    The badge on the away looks to be at an angle. Dreadful

    If that's on purpose, I suppose it was but a matter of time before suppliers started experimenting with this kind of tomfoolery. Pars' triangular crest does invite to tip it to one side for the sake of being different (and selling tons more shirts once it is properly placed again the next year).

    Anyhow, Fortuna Düsseldorf (rolls off the tongue, ja?) have a wavy new away shirt. Talking about experimenting with your crest, that effect you see in the second picture is exactly what you think it is. Ist doch geil?;

    Those are actually quite nice, is it the lack of proper stripes on the home that kills it for you? Only complaint I could have is the gimmicky collar (shared with St Mirren). Using home colours on the away is very thoughtful too.

    I would also like to challenge punters to spot the mistake on the promoshot of Hibernian's 'away' shirt.
