Anyone else getting horrible 2012/13 flashbacks? Final 2 games we just had partick away followed by a home game against a relegated team to stay up. Kris Doolan equalised for partick in the 413th minute of stoppage time before we lost to airdrie, dragging us into the playoffs where Alloa relegated us. A huge result today for the pars but 8th is far far far from secured

Ayr miles better first half. Very glad they decided to time waste all second half instead of continuing to outplay us, allowing us to steal the win. I love this club

Fitting this game is against ayr, we have been each other’s closest rivals for 5 or so years now.
Both had possibly our worst ever seasons together coming 7th & 8th in league 1. The title race the following season. Endless false dawns and diddy managers since. 30 goal-a-season strikers never adequately replaced. A mutual love of Michael moffat’s football brain and all things Andy Geggan.

Part of me really wants queens to win this just for the chaos but then I remember Dunfermline have won 6 times all season and we need all the help we can get to shitfest our way away from the seaside

Shite to be out the cup at the first hurdle again, but in between league games against ayr and Hamilton this game is certainly of lower priority. We are far from out the woods yet and 3 points next week is much more important than a cup run imo

Regardless of how poor Ayr were today there is absolutely no chance Peter Grant would’ve guided us to a 3-0 victory.
So whilst it may not be the best test to see where we are at a competitive level, we are definitely seeing signs of hopeful improvement.2 -

This is where the master plan starts to come together lads. Our loss at Somerset ensured the ayr board and fans were happy for one troglodyte in the dugout to be formally replaced by another, meaning they would remain around the relegation places for the rest of the season.
Our loss to Morton the other week guaranteed their hopeless manager would remain for another month or so at least, giving us plenty of time to ride off into the glorious sunset of mid table mediocrity
