  1. Wow what an embarrassment. Fully expect us to go down via the play offs without as much as a whimper. Looking back, what sane human on this planet would headhunt Peter fucking Grant for the managers job? Only a fool, so far out his depth could pull off such a disasterclass. So cheers Ross McArthur, one of many shambolic decisions during his tenure. A real shame there’s a number of Dunfermline fans that were too busy hanging out his arse willing to lap up the utter dugmeat statementsx

‘NOnSense WitHouT RosS wE WouLDn’T HaVe a Club’

    - Aye very good, he was part of an influential group that helped save the club when they were on the brink a decade ago. It’s time to move on, ridiculous attitude that will see the club stagnate and find it really tough to progress.

John Hughes, you are a dobber anaw.

  2. Massive win for us yesterday and probably our best performance of the season so far. We dominated the first half and could’ve been out of sight at half time on another day. Second half, Queens came into it a bit but failed to create anything substantial. I have to say that’s the worst Queen of the South we have came up against at Palmerston in my lifetime. We really should’ve been making that 4/5 but beggars canny be choosers.

All in all I thought the majority of the team were excellent yesterday. What a difference it makes when we move the ball with a bit urgency in the oppositions half. Lewis McCann had a great shift but he looks like he’s shooting with cereal boxes for fitbaw boots. Can’t fault the defence and the midfield looked very balanced and effective.

I would rather think that there would be a general consensus that "genius" is overstating it somewhat.

Given that it was hardly top corner, would it be more the case that there is an element of goalkeeping culpability that has previously been settled upon on this very thread?

I was mightily impressed by OFW's time wasting which triggered the frothers into a frenzy and prompted one to lean over the barrier to throw the ball back to and in the most obvious turn of events, beyond OFW, allowing him to waste even more time.

Aw f**k up ya mad teuchter.

  4. You have to be utter pond life to be spitting on someone. Has the culprit been identified yet? Had only heard a rumour about this incident but had nothing been confirmed as far as I was aware.

Wish RM all the best in the future, his dedication and efforts to steer the club in the right direction will never be forgotten, although I think he’s done as much as he can as chairman and I’d agree it’s the right time to move on.

From the outside looking in, I would think that the reason that Grant is still there is purely financial. You might find that the Board have given him a bumper contract and the thought of paying him off and then paying a replacement is too much to bear

The cost of a relegation and the drop in gate money/season tickets surely outweighs paying him off. Board being  massively incompetent and spineless is the reason he is still here. Nothing else.

  6. Peter Grant should’ve been binned after Ayr away but the board shat the bed. McArthur, Meggle and co have a lot to answer for. The club can lie about attendances all they want but appointing Peter Grant and sticking by him is driving thousands of fans away from EEP. With relegation now looking extremely likely, why have we let it go on this long? Every single Dunfermline fan I know could see where this was heading. The only people that didn’t was the boards wee band of pals on .net that sneered at anyone for questioning the board or managers decisions on an open football forum. Their delusion has actually become quite dangerous. Never in my life have I seen such morons discuss football matters. Last night they were suggesting we should go part time as a means of going forward. Whattheactualfuck! Do they know how the game works? Going part time would be a disastrous move for the club. Rather than do something about the boards ineptitude we should just accept part time football? Have you ever heard such pish. I have not followed this club all over the country for 20+ years, ploughing money whenever I can to be served with this utter muck. Went to the games with the same guys for the last 10-12 years now, we’ve said for the last couple of years that there was fans and board members happy for us to become a lower end championship club with no ambition, peddling out the ‘lucky to have a club’ drivel. It’s actually gotten worse than that. Anyone that knows McArthur personally is always going to back him up and I totally understand that but McArthur, like Grant, is so far out his depth, and it’s there in black and white. It’s the future of Dunfermline Athletic we should be thinking about, not upsetting someone that’s done all they can for the club and can’t take us any further, and like it or not the decision to appoint Grant and stick with Grant till now, whether it was McArthur or Meggle, will haunt us for a long while unless we get this sorted ASAP.

    Grant out. McArthur out.

That article is beyond embarrassing.. no disrespect to Arbroath but it shows how far we have fallen in recent years that we’re making umpteen excuses about them beating us comfortably. It’s got to the stage now where I hope we lose tomorrow, & if we do I hope it’s about 5- zip.. a result so embarrassing that he cannot possibly be in a job on Monday morning. While I’m at it.. i cannot believe some of the stuff I’ve read on .Net over the last few days. There’s genuinely people (quite a few) who have said we should stick by grant, someone was “certain” we would avoid relegation despite every statistic saying otherwise, someone claiming calling grant names (which weren’t even nearly offensive) will “affect his family for years” etc.

Aye, they dobbers are tuned to the moon. The sites reeking of strong tory vibes and they eat their cereal with a fork.

  8. Nah McArthur can get to f**k. Giving Peter Grant a vote of confidence at this stage in the season is scandalous in itself. To then throw the fans under the bus again, aye sound alan sugar let’s see how good a business move that was. Lifeline’s cancelled, shove your season ticket right up yer arsenal anaw. Piss poor crowds, players fed up getting twatted every other week. Zero shots FC. The board are clearly on a different planet from the rest of Scottish football here and they’ve added fuel to what was already, a b*****d of a fire.

    McArthur Out, Grant out now.

    Fat bitch

  9. Raith should’ve been out of sight by half time. Zanatta was given far too much room for the goal, unsure if it was my my view from the stand but when Connolly realises that Comrie’s caught out of position, he has got to go and close Zanatta down. He just backs off and makes it easy for him. Absolute criminal defending.

Wighton and O’Hara livened the game up for us. They have to start going forward from here, it’s worrying that Grant still doesn’t know what his strongest 11 is yet. Our players look well off the pace, I can only assume that’s down to fitness? Pressing the game with two strikers found us some joy and allowed us to perform much better in the second half but we only seemed to perform in 5 minute spells then we’d be gassed out. What a save from OFW though, he’s gotten us a point there.

All in all, still nowhere near good enough. First half Cole, Dorrans and Pybus couldn’t get near the Raith players and allowed them to dictate the play. We’ve desperately needed a presence in CM all season. Pybus did put in a shift and improved the second half along with Dorrans but you could see his legs go with around 5-10 minutes left. Cole brings us nothing at all can’t think of a team in this division he’d do a job for. We still need to improve drastically, lucky if we had 5 players out of the starting 11 and subs that got pass marks for last night, however this is the standard I think some of our fans are happy to be served up. Seen someone say we had on outstanding 2nd half??? Lol wut. Away’n fling shite at yersel min.

Btw, who was on the bender wi the sex offender 😂😂? You know we’ve played shite when that’s all the young teams singing for the majority of the game.

  10. 1 above average performance in 7 games is not good enough for a central midfielder, re Pybus. Plus you need to allow for the fact that Hamilton were one of the worse starting 11’s I've seen us play this season. Still rooted to the bottom with 0 goals scored at home. I feel the expectations get lower and lower every week. Peter Grant continues to pull the wool over the boards eyes with his constant bullshit every week.

IMO the draw has bought Grant another game. Hamilton look equally as crap this season although have managed more points and a win. Unbelievably they've also managed to concede more goals than us although have also scored more. For me this is a must win, fail to beat Accies then time is up. Someone on Twitter suggested he should get at least the Accies and Raith games but if we don't win on Saturday he doesn't deserve the Raith game.

I reckon he’d have gotten until the raith game at least, regardless if we lost on Saturday or not going by Meggle’s Q&A. If we’d already won a game or two, a draw on Saturday wouldn’t have been too shabby. Yes, we’ve seen a slight improvement but we’re still remarkably poor overall. We’ve played 3 games at home, picked up 1 point, scored a big fat 0 and conceded 6. We’ve been worse than his Alloa side last season. 3 points on Saturday is a must.

  12. Aye, we stopped that last season I’m sure.

Just seen Meggle’s Q&A. Lot of shite. Aye, the players have made mistakes, however Grant insists on starting the same players every game and playing them out of position to suit his football fantasy formation. He’s either too stubborn or he’s learnt nada from the tankings we’ve received this season, probably a concoction of both. The blind leading the blind.

  13. Why on earth is he even getting a chance to turn this around? We’ve seen absolutely hee haw to suggest that. If anything it’s been getting worse and worse every week. He’s built a heavily unbalanced side with a midfield like a melt in the middle fondant. Every game we are second to every ball and we get walked over with ease, genuinely not seen us win a 50/50 in there all season. We need Iain Wilson back and another CM and goalkeeper pronto or it’s a relegation battle this season. It’s a fucking circus.
