There's one massive thing your tiny mind seems to have forgotten. Drinkers are not forced to drink outside.

But let's not forget there are still many countries where you can still smoke in 'public places'. Good examples are Germany, Austria, Portugal, Greece, and the Spanish are relaxed about it. Also how is a pub a public place? It's private property. No one forces you enter a pub. It should be up to the owner.The very high percentage of them would allow smoking if given the choice because the smoking ban has single handedly killed the pub trade.

It's quite amusing and disgusting at the same time, that they think they can control what people do in their own property, e.g. a car.

Not going to happen in the UK any time soon unfortunately. It's becoming more and more of a nanny state every day, and as I said when I started this thread, it's going to need to get a lot worse before it gets better.
