  1. Led to believe the preferred date is Tuesday 25th , should find out at start of week
  2. No time to lay and remove covers before inspection today , needed to stay off yesterday to dry the pitch , takes about 4 people over an hour to lay , then ref needs all covers removed for inspection , again nearly an hour , also look at rain since 3 pm it would have been abandoned, which is much more of an inconvenience, the worst of the weather is in West Scotland and I believe Hampden is only grass pitch on in that area
  3. I thought we would have known by now if it was definitely Tuesday , I would think 25th , but still hope it’s Tuesday , believe they would have discussed today possibly awaiting league reply re officials availability , is Madden not on the Europa League rota ? they have games on this week
  4. Rangers game postponed today and rescheduled for tomorrow, surely we can get it done for Tuesday night
  5. Pitch was playable at 10.30 , so having covers on would have made zero difference, the rain was pouring down when ref done inspection , he needs to make decision based on current and forecasted weather , not happy but at time that was correct decision , pitch inspection taking place at another 3 grounds , 1 just called off and a Premiership club is looking 50/50 with 12.30 inspection
  6. Tuesday is a slight possibility, other than that I believe there are very few dates in March due to us having 2 Friday and 2 Tuesday games in that Month , if rain stays off I think pitch could have been ready it was 50/50 when ref came , unfortunately when he completed inspection it was raining heavy and water was sitting on top as not enough time to drain away , this causing ball not to bounce , in saying that the wind would spoil game anyway so believe decision definitely correct at that time , not much ref can do has to go on what it’s like when he is there
  7. Bobby Madden on route for inspection , at moment touch and go , small small wet patches
  8. Update on pitch and game shortly , current conditions are forecasted for next 4 hrs , game must be real doubtful
  9. If you read my post properly, I clearly state that no pitch would drain away the forecasted amount of water to fall in such a small space of time , covers were not needed as the wind was needed to dry pitch with amount of rain over last couple of days , a number of local games have been postponed already due to rain , as for your comment re rain forecast on Friday , we had no rain from noon yesterday until about 45 mins ago , and pitch is playable now it’s what’s forecasted that’s the problem , so guys have done the right thing letting wind dry pitch out
  10. As guy stated above it’s rained here for near on 2 weeks , pitch is draining ok the worry is the amount of water that will fall in such a short space of time , drains can’t cope that why you get floods , now if you can inform us how we can stop these current high winds gusting up the park that would be beneficial as that’s what looks like getting game called off
  11. Pitch playable at moment , rain now showing as not getting heavy until 12 noon , 3 hrs later than yesterday’s forecast , but feel the wind is getting stronger than last week currently, feel it will be a close decision , but more in favour of being off , hope it eases up a bit
  12. I think the only thing that will get the game called off is the weather , covers no use as the current winds are needed to dry a very damp pitch , covers would then only be able to be put down when rain starts , takes over an hour to lay and they need to be lifted for inspection. Time does not allow for this process , if game went ahead on Tuesday I wouldn’t think the crowd would be much lower than tomorrow, with the forecast a number of fans will stay away as shown in last couple of games with similar weather condition
  13. Seemingly they have made that date available if both clubs agree as it is a scheduled game night on their rota , as cup replays were due for that night and there is another league 1 game on that night
  14. Not as much a diddy club as yours going by your knowledgeable manager , on his interview on tomorrow’s game he states we are a strong attacking team with Forrest Moffat and McGuffie up front for us , the same McGuffie that HE signed 2 weeks ago , as stated earlier it’s to rain before during and after game in total approx 10 hrs and the rain is forecasted to be torrential, wet pitch should help you as might lower us to your level , only hope is forecast is incorrect , I take it that you remember your game against QOS this season was postponed at Home due to your pitch being waterlogged
  15. Not really as soon as you lift them ground will still be damp and the rain forecasted will still flood the pitch , we need the rain to be a lot less than forecasted
  16. Fraser type Morton Fc into search , select the link to Hopkin talking about QOS game and upcoming Ayr game , interviewer asks him about tomorrow’s game and he replied , Ayr are one of the best attacking teams in the league with the likes of Forrest , McGUFFIE and Moffat up top for them He is actually live on video saying it
  17. Drainage is fine , pitch is playable at moment , not many pitches will be able to hold the amount of rain forecasted to fall tomorrow ( hope it wrong ) but the rain we had at 10.30 today which was torrential is forecasted to fall from 9am to 5pm tomorrow, can’t drain that quick if water continues to fall on it
  18. Bus company say around 1hr 45 on bus , so leaving just after 4.45 is fine , if you look at mail it says 4.30/45 so don’t know why you only stated the first part of 4.30
  19. There was talk today if both teams agree It could be as soon as Tuesday as that is the first available date for rescheduled games
  20. Game kicks off at 7.05 , fans have tickets to buy , some having to go all way round stadium and back if paying by card so in real terms need to be in Dumfries at 6.40, it does take a bus around 1.5 hrs , when do you suggest it should leave then ?
  21. Shaping up to be worse conditions than last Saturday. Possible postponement when we've already got about five games in two weeks starting at the end of the month If rain comes as forecasted game certainly in doubt , wind will not be the issue , pitch very soft now and torrential rain likely , there will be an inspection at 11.30am
