  1. That’s 2 points taken off us by referee tonight , that’s never a penalty
  2. Totally incorrect , Mark Kerr complained very forcefully to the referee that the game should not be played , he was very dissatisfied with the refs decision as he knew it did not suit us
  3. Wonder if this late change in weather will make ref change his mind
  4. Ref here now , concern is that the wind has picked in the last half hour but it was forecasted to die down , he was fine when arrived , he has just said game ON
  5. conditions although not deteriorated are causing a little concern to one of the officials, awaiting referee , again club say playable but let’s see what ref thinks , fingers crossed
  6. No bother getting a local ref , the SPFL have dictated that inspection only needed after yellow weather warning has expired , pitch is currently playable with wind not a major concern , if rain eases up in next hour there should be no issue , even though I agree we should still have the game off as it’s a lottery in the current conditions , local forecast from Prestwick Airport is winds to die down from current 29mph to 20mph with some gusts and rain to ease off , but we all know that can change very quickly
  7. As they are a bunch of numpties , Ayr asked for an early inspection and were told that if they felt needed it would be later on in the day as that’s when the yellow weather warning was meant to end , utter nonsense on their behalf , no doubt fans will blame the club , but they have done all they can at this stage , if on we are predicting a crowd of around 900/1000 , about 500/600 down if this was a Saturday along with who really wants to stand outside in these conditions
  8. Wind not an issue to game , but the current rainstorm is , if it stays on much longer pitch will be waterlogged , wind currently within stadium no worse than a windy day in Arbroath , but pitch beginning to get a bit wet , needs time to drain away , don’t get me wrong I do want the game off , will certainly be no advantage to us playing in that
  9. Personally at this moment in time looking at pitch I would say yes , but weather depending on next few hours , if game was at 3pm I believe ref would go ahead , great deal of pitch protected from wind biggest issue is how much rain falls , in my opinion though I would prefer it was off , I watched a game on Saturday at amateur level and conditions were not much better than they are just now
  10. SPFL then , club cannot postpone a game without their permission
  11. As a club we are in a no win situation, SFA dictates wither game is on or not ,as a club we cannot call game off , IMO decision should be made no later than 3pm
  12. Arbroath leaving at 2pm , but disgrace for their fans
  13. Game is on at moment , SFA keen to get it on and will not inspect before 5pm as they say weather is to improve , wind is not going to be the issue it’s only if too much rain falls in a short space of time , I think it should be off though but unfortunately SFA have other ideas
  14. Not even raining here at Somerset , had a shower about 20 mins ago , pitch in good condition currently
  15. Latest forecast given to club is that winds are going to drop to approx 20mph with some occasional gusts , much lighter than present with winds dropping from 5pm , the only worry is if torrential rain falls between 1-4 as predicted , pitch playable at moment and bring continually forked , at this time game looking like being on , SFA don’t want an early inspection going on forecast , Arbroath are leaving at 2pm and fully aware of situation , they are willing to start journey knowing game could be in doubt and say they will accept the decision when it’s made at a later time
  16. Final decision will be made prior to Arbroath leaving which I think is around 3pm , pitch was checked at 10am and was not too bad , planning another check at 1pm and believe finally at 3pm I am led to believe , if we get the predicted downpour between 1-4 will be very doubtful, but weather not as bad as predicted so far
  17. Totally correct , Murdoch and Adams both longer term injuries
  18. It’s going to be left as late as possible , my understanding today is that Arbroath are happy for decision to be made at around 3pm, if it turns out like forecast predicts I would say very doubtful, biggest issue is going to be the wind
  19. Been a sub in last 3 games for first team , previous to that was out injured for 4 weeks , possibly not match fit yet , played 3 weeks ago for reserves against Albion Rovers at Cumnock , surprised he was not playing last 2 reserve games when he needs the games
  20. It’s obvious you don’t understand profit and loss accounts , we chose a budget that does not work which is a fact , no one said we were unique ,we cannot life on our income alone , if the current owner walked away we would cease to trade as we would be bankrupt
  21. My believe is that if in doubt a decision will be made lunchtime Tuesday , forecast now saying 29mph winds and 70% chance rain , but lots of rain to fall late Monday and Tuesday so pitch likely be waterlogged
  22. Our business model is not working , it’s obvious if we are losing money on an annual basis , there are clubs also with much bigger crowds than us who are living in debt and if banks were to recall loans etc would be in serious difficulty, it’s pretty obvious we don’t bring in enough through crowds etc , McCall harped on continually during his time we needed crowds to rise to allow him cash to strengthen the team , so to say its bollocks you are totally wrong , we are a full time club working on part time level income ,
