You'll normally find a few folk in places like Platfrom 8 and Auctioneers. Standard Greene King type places. There is the Black Isle Brewery if you like your craft stuff and they do good pizza as well apparently. A Spoons is nearby if you prefer. The Innes is usually popular with home and away fans but a little out of the town centre. Finally, worth mentioning The Caley Club on the other side of the river. Cheap and cheerful but for a few pounds you'll get a bus to / from the game and away fans are always welcome.
For fish and chips Lorimers is on the way to / from the stadium if you walk along the A82 but it's only okay. MacLeods in Merkinch is the best fish and chips I've had in Inverness but you're going a little out of your way there but as you're up for the weekend that shouldn't matter too much.In the club currently and sorted the bus up/down.
Good recommendation pal, nice wee club and a decent pint.
Surprised how good the weather is too.Β
Enough niceties, intae em Morton...

Phoenix Ale House is the best pub IMO.
Cheers VT.
Gonna have a nice wee crawl Fri/Sat by the looks of it. If any are showing the game Fri too, even better.

MacLeods is by far and away the best chippy in Inverness. The rest are shite. Well worth the wee diversion out of the town. Probably best to avoid the bar across the road from it thoughβ¦
Cheers mate, I'm intrigued.....

Heres to a semi-decent game at least.

Booked a solo-trip back in May and the football gods have kindly drawn us this weekend when I'm up.
Any recommendations for pubs before/after the game?
A decent chippy wouldn't go amiss too.

Im sure this generic "i want to appear superior" post has really helped the quality.
Yes, that was exactly my motive. And your comment has done so too.Β

Terrace Podcast preview of the lower league teams is up. Good listen so far, Morton are around 35 mins in.Β
Reasonable assessment I would say albeit less than complimentary remarks about Irmie's pics and Easdale.....in general

800 season tickets sold so far, quick search via Twitter shows around 500 by roughly the same time last year.
Very welcome increase. Although not having Gus McPherson as manager definitely helps.

Did anyone travel to the Annan game? Only a warm up, but curious to see how we were.

Can't remember and slightly arsed at checking, there is a period were clubs can loan players after the deadline has passed......right? Not saying that's what we should be doing of course.

Well this is a bit of a damp squib so far, an hr to go!

He has played for Partick so it would be madness for him to sign a short terms deal anywhere else (the shortest it could be would be to January anyway). He'd then be clubless for the rest of the season if his deal wasn't extended because you can only play for two clubs in one season.
Of course.....
Meh, if the wages aren't too stupid, could be worth a pop for a season.0 -
Pogba released by Partick.......potential short team deal maybe, if All else fails....?
Edit: Not seen him much in all honesty....

Great result. Quitongo was great, as was King and Gillespie. Quitongo edged MoTM for me.
Special mention the ref for being probably the worst i've ever seen. Handed out yellows like sweets.
