What’s happened to Williamson, only a year ago he was playing for Scotland U21’s has he had a bad injury or just been poor that he’s ended up released. Were hibs not interested in him a while ago as well?

Johnny Russell scored for Scotland last night.
Am I right (or wrong) that in his last game for us which was at Stark's Park he scored a hat trick.
Was it the last game of the season and who was it against ?

That the boy that scored that screamer against Celtic in the 4-0 game last year? He controlled that midfield entirely that game. There was another young midfielder as well so I may be getting mixed up though.

I agree that Bates didn’t look levels above ourselves when playing for us, and maybe Locke didn’t rate or think he would progress to the level he is at now but surely when someone like Rangers are contacting us about signing him we would’ve thought maybe he’s got something and tried to get more than 2 6 month loans and a dugmeat player on a permanent basis. Who we then released at the end of that very season...

The balls in his court IMO, he was offered a coaching role with McGlynn and Smith. In the FFP I’m sure it said he hadn’t made a decision yet. I’m assuming nothings changed as nothing has been announced.0 -

If we bring in a decent winger to play on the right we could go for a 433 with wedderburn and Gillespie sitting in front of the defence with Milne ahead of them. Then Vaughan on the left, new right winger and one of duggan and Buchanan as striker. No doubt we’ll be stuck with 442 all season again though.

Yeah, not sure when it’s due to be finished though, our home games in the league cup are provisionally scheduled for Bayview so it’s looking likely it be after the groups of that.1 -

Thanks for the responses folks, doesn’t sound excellent but we’ve had Graeme Smith in goals for large parts of last season so how much worse can it be.

I'm liking how so many people know about the fabled £60k development fee. There's nothing to show he's played for Montpellier before. Where did this come about from?
This. I’ve not seen anything saying he played at any level with Montpellier, transfermarkt is normally quite decent and they don’t mention Montpellier. None of the signing announcements from Stenny, Airdrie and us mention any development fee or if it’s an amateur contract.0 -

We need to play Vaughan centrally behind either Buchanan or spence not both. I think he’ll cause more problems for opposing teams in there, Robertson also has to be put back in midfield. I wasn’t there last night but we looked a lot better when he moved forward at Dumbarton and it sounded as if we improved a bit last night when he did move there.

Yeah majority of his time with us was in the middle a few times on the wing I think, not very pacey though so probably better through the middle.
Could be a decent for you lot, I think other than Johnstone you've signed some of the better players from our team last year (not much of a compliment)0 -

The trio of hendry, Vaughan and nisbet would be an excellent core to a team regardless of what league we are in, fingers crossed we manage to sign Hendry if the story is true
